Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 224: Comprehending the transformation technique

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing a True Source Dragon, you have gained insights into the ’True Source Dragon Transformation Technique’ and its origin imprint.]

The only thing Grey truly comprehended was the structural engineering. The origin imprint, on the other hand, was still progressing very slowly.

But on the flip side, if he was not wrong, the origin imprint most likely possessed the power to stop time.

And the power to stop time was the one thing he lacked the least right now.

Speaking of that, he also needed to make preparations for comprehending the Time Law. If he made no progress there, he would never be able to locate the Nexus Law.

Of course, he still had time. Middle stage only came after officially stepping into the second rank, after all. That meant the transformation technique demanded higher priority for now.

Speaking of transformation, Grey suddenly had a realization.

”Alissa was still undergoing transformation. If not for me exerting too much pressure, her cocoon would not have broken.”

She was already as strong as him. He could only imagine the terror she would bring once she was fully finished and officially stepped into the first level of second rank.

Of course, Lia would not lag behind by much.

She only needed help controlling her energy, and she would become even stronger than she was right now. If anything, Lia was still the bigger walking cheat between the two girls.

Alissa was similar to Lia in one aspect. They both awakened powerful energies that were, in fact, fusions of two forces. The latter could not control it at all due to the massive difference between wielding one energy force and two. Yet Alissa controlled it effortlessly.

However, Grey knew exactly why Alissa could do it and why Lia could not.

It was directly imprinted into Alissa’s DNA. From the comprehension he received about the True Source Dragon Transformation Technique, it was clear that this technique was the prime mover behind everything.

The God Transformation Technique was impressive, but the dragon’s transformation technique was far more practical and required significantly less effort.

Speaking of the God Transformation Technique, he still needed to comprehend it fully, as well as the structural engineering of Lia. That way, he could also alter his human body to match that of a god, or perhaps even create an even more perfect version.

”But for now, it’s comprehending time.” Grey smiled as he sat cross legged in the air. He closed his eyes and focused, letting his mind perception spread outward. Whether through eyes or mind, as long as he could sense it, he could comprehend it.

If there was one thing Grey had noticed, it was that the more focused he was, the greater his comprehension became. It had not been obvious before, since weaker things were easy to comprehend. But now that he was a stronger evolver exposed to far more profound concepts, the speed naturally slowed, making the effect noticeable.

He first realized this while comprehending the beast core yesterday.

Then, suddenly, a thought surfaced in Grey’s mind when he recalled the beast core.

”Wait, the anchor...” Grey opened his eyes, a thoughtful expression forming on his face.

The Anchor was a control hub. Alissa used it to decide which DNA folding pattern had priority at any given moment, human form or dragon form. It did not create the transformation itself. It merely told her body which blueprint to obey.

If Grey inscribed only the origin imprints into it, the Anchor would not change his body on its own and also turn his body into a wolf in the process. It would simply act as a switchboard, forcing the system to load a specific structural template whenever he willed it.

As long as the template existed and the conditions were met, the Anchor would function.

What he needed to understand now was how the transformation itself was performed using vital essence.

And for that, he needed to see it happening.

That had been his initial plan from the beginning. To observe the Grey Clone evolve using the Primordial Human Transformation Technique.

But as things usually went for him, one thing led to another, and now he was here in the secret realm after an exciting battle against a dragon that could, in theory, completely collapse a city if fought outside without the protection of the secret realm’s power.

In the end, however, everything worked out. Not only did he learn the structural engineering of a True Source Dragon, but he also received crucial information regarding the secret of transforming into a powerful dragon, along with guidance on how to apply origin imprints into his own DNA structure.

Soon, sitting cross legged, he began comprehending.

Time passed, and Grey did not even bother checking how much time had gone by. But if he had to guess, at least two days had passed, if not more.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the transformation technique, you have comprehended the ’True Source Dragon Transformation Technique’.]

Grey’s mind was instantly flooded with information. Insights into the True Source Dragon and its internal functioning surfaced within his consciousness.

”Huh?” Grey abruptly opened his eyes.

This transformation technique was far more detailed than he had expected.

It contained precise details on how the Anchor was constructed. Although he already knew the process, this information further solidified his foundation.

This was not vague guidance.

This was a complete and detailed guide.

”Thank the Source World’s God or Dragon.” Grey was caught on the verge of tears.

To think he would actually obtain a transformation technique that explained the entire process so clearly.

On second thought, however, it made sense. This was something absolutely essential to a dragon’s existence.

Without it, how would they even transform?

At the same time, Grey felt curious.

If Alissa was already a True Dragon, how was it that she had been incapable of transforming before?

Prior to this, she had been no different from a human, aside from a few minor changes that were practically negligible.

And frankly speaking, although his knowledge was limited, the world she came from should possess the same level of superiority and higher dimensionality as the god’s world.

This was evident from the powers she displayed today and from his own comprehension, which functioned like a spoiler machine, force feeding him answers.

That aside, what truly concerned him was the nature of that world.

If it was, in theory, a higher dimensional world, how could mortals even exist there?

In fact, Grey even doubted that a first rank evolver could be born in such a place.

Perhaps higher ranking evolvers were directly born there. If so, would those dragons even need a transformation technique like this?

Then where did Alissa’s technique come from?

Lia’s case was easier to understand. The Endless Heaven of God Transformation was either something the so-called Legion of Gods specifically created for her current incarnation, or perhaps something she herself created in her past life after foreseeing this one.

And the expert residing within Lia’s mind only further solidified that theory.
