Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 196: Talk and federation expert’s descension (3)

By that time, the Twin Sister along with Werner also arrived in Grey’s AV. Since they couldn’t fly as fast as Grey, he gave it to them.

”Observe closely.” Grey said to his disciple and grand disciples.

Grey swiftly descended down to the City Lord Mansion which was now completely emptied out. However, it was still rather broken due to all the battles that took place here. But that was just the outer layer, and with the current technology, these small cracks that spread across the mansion could easily be fixed in a few hours.

And the things inside were still intact, like the computers.

Going inside, he swiftly connected the formation flag to the computers using the advanced optic cables, and using the Mind Interface, he swiftly connected the computers to the main database and the local one.

A fusion between technology and the heavenly working took place immediately afterward. No, it would be more accurate to say that two existing powers of the heavenly dao were fusing. In the end, everything you could see and observe was part of the heavenly dao and hence it was part of the hidden workings of the heaven, and technology was just a man-made version of the already existing heavenly workings.

That said, Grey left the mansion and arrived next to his grand disciples and Werner who eagerly looked forward to his performance. Meiling and Meiyang even had a notebook in their hands with a pen, almost as if they were attending a seminar.

”All the formation flags have been positioned.” Grey glanced around. He saw several flashes of light shooting into the sky.

Immediately, he connected to the formation flag. Indeed, several lights flickered across its surface now that all the other formation flags had been positioned.

Now, it was time to fully engrave it into the real world.

Grey flew a bit higher and waved his hands.

Immediately, several cosmic ore appeared from thin air and flew toward the formation flag within the mansion. The formation flag reacted and intricate symbols and patterns emerged from it and covered all the cosmic ores that came out.

Bzz-!

A small vibration rang out from the formation and Grey stretched his arm upward.

Whrmmm!

Like a magical circle manifesting, circular diagrams with intricate symbols and patterns emerged from his hands. Within seconds, its size began to increase, stretching toward the four cities at an even pace.

”What is that?” The civilians of the four cities looked up in wonder. ”Is that an array?”

”Could it be City Lord Grey?” The prominent families all stared at the sky with a solemn expression.

As the array fully covered the entire province, Grey stopped.

Immediately, another layer of array formed directly below it and then another and more. It was a several stacked array.

”Stacking so many arrays on top of each other.” Werner looked at this with a slightly speechless expression. He himself was only capable of two-stack, but Grey could do more than two, and the amount of arrays right now reached six. The way he looked was casual, almost as if it was a walk in the park for him.

Soon, Grey was finished.

A deep hum reverberated across the heavens.

WOOOONG—!

The six-layered array suddenly rotated in alternating directions, one clockwise and the next counterclockwise, each layer stabilizing the next. Lines of brilliance shot outward, forming a luminous web that locked onto every formation flag planted around the four cities.

Then

Crack—!

Crack—Crack—!

It was not the sound of something breaking, but rather the sound of spatial seams being stitched together. Light surged upward from the formation flags, converging at the center of the sky.

A translucent dome began to form.

At first it looked like faint ripples in water, but the ripples thickened, condensed, and solidified into a shimmering barrier that blanketed the four cities.

”It’s forming.” Grey smiled.

Meiling and Meiyang on the other hand were intensely noting away on their notebook with a serious look on their face.

The barrier expanded outward in a calm, controlled wave, touching the borders of the province.

Grey hovered above the completed six-layer array, his gaze sweeping across the shimmering dome that now encompassed the entire province.

The barrier was formed. Now came the most important part which was setting the conditions.

With a flick of his wrist, countless runic lines lit up across the layers, weaving into a complex network only a Grandmaster could comprehend.

He connected the core array to the local network of all four cities, integrating every surveillance system, energy scanner, and identification protocol into one.

”The moment someone without authorization steps inside” Grey murmured, ”the barrier will reject them.”

Grey glanced at his disciples who were curiously looking at him. They knew he had just set conditions.

”This barrier will automatically detect all unidentified individuals. Mutated beasts, criminal gangs, external infiltrators, anyone not registered within the province’s records will be pushed out of the city space instantly.”

Boom—!

A wave of invisible force rippled through the dome, activating its judgment sequence.

Meiyang scribbled frantically in her notebook when she heard this.

Grey waved his hand and even more cosmic ore appeared and went toward the formation flag to power it even further.

A shockwave blasted outward from the barrier. Civilians staggered in confusion as streaks of light shot toward the ground like falling stars.

The next moment, the countless Corruption fields outside the Ascension Province swelled up uncontrollably and one by one, they began to burst apart.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Within seconds, the entirety of the corruption fields in the outer rings that were between the four cities were completely gone.

But it didn’t end there. The ejection power was now fully activated.

The formation flag automatically began scanning through the main database and the local database of the city and immediately, several powerful forces erupted from the array and shot downward.

One by one, the mutated beasts that were running across the wilderness in the outer ring felt their bodies losing control. The next moment, their bodies were flung across the land like a broken kite.

”Roar?” The mutated beasts roared in confusion.

It wasn’t just them. The hidden gangs, mercenaries hiding deep within the forest or people within hidden headquarters, all of them lost control of themselves as the powerful presence of the array flung them up into the air and then slapped them out of the barrier as if they were a tennis ball.

It wasn’t just them.

Ironveil City.

”Hey look, aren’t those the family members of the Moltenfang family.” One of the people pointed at several figures in the air who were then flung across the entire province, out of the barrier one by one.

Dawnwatch City.

The members of the Sunstride rose into the air one by one with a terrified look on their faces and they too were ejected out.

Silverguard City.

”I can’t move my body!” One of the Frostpetal family members screamed. However, it was all for naught. They too were ejected out of the Ascension Province.

Now, not even their entire family members teaming up to enter the barrier would be possible because the current barrier could easily deflect one or two attacks from a peak second ranker. It would only continue growing from here on naturally with the cosmic energy diagram.

And the power that kept it going wasn’t simple cosmic energy but aether energy. Its powers were pretty self explanatory.
