Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 167: Ascension Province (8)

Grey’s vision blurred, and in the next moment he found himself inside the secret realm. The instant he entered, his expression changed.

Buzz!

The entire realm trembled as a torrent of energy poured out of Alissa’s body without pause. The temperature plummeted in an instant, frost creeping along the ground while Alissa herself hung suspended in the air, clearly unconscious.

”What is this supposed to be? Is she actually transforming into a full true dragon?” Grey couldn’t hide his surprise.

The growth on her forehead had expanded even further, becoming far more pronounced than before.

Even so, Grey wasn’t worried. Her overflowing energy wasn’t a sign of danger, it was the result of the transformation taking place within her body, the first signs of something far greater beginning to awaken.

The energy pouring out was so immense that, after a while, Grey began to hear ancient roars echoing through the entire secret realm. Each roar shook the air like some primordial beast had awakened from a million year slumber.

In the next instant, the beam of energy blasting out of Alissa suddenly halted. The raging torrent reversed direction, surging back into her body with a fierce pull.

The moment the last strand of energy returned, the world trembled.

Boom!

A violent explosion erupted, and the secret realm quaked as if space itself had been punched.A wave of bitter cold swept across the surroundings the moment the explosion went off, freezing the air and the forest around Alissa.

Then, a colossal projection rose above Alissa, stretching across the skies of the secret realm as if claiming the heavens for itself.

It was a dragon, a dragon forged entirely from energy. Its scales shimmered with a cold pulse, and its long horn twisted the air around it, bending space with every faint movement.

”A True Dragon.” Grey had an excited glint in his eyes.

’Alissa definitely has inheritance abilities. Maybe once she reaches 2nd rank I will be able to comprehend her transformation technique!’ Grey mused.

Seeing the manifestation of the true dragon was definitely a sign.

Alissa’s strength was already at the peak of 1st rank, and this special transformation taking place within her body should directly push her to the 2nd rank and potentially to the 1st level at that. And to reach 1st level she naturally needed to have a transformation technique, and having a transformation technique naturally meant he could steal... comprehend it.

’That would mean I can transform into a dragon too.’

Of course, whether he would transform into a dragon or not depended on how perfect it was.If it was perfect and naturally more optimized than the ones he received from the immortal lady, then he could combine them together to form an even more perfect one, and there was also Lia’s god transformation technique.

Orin mentioned the gods when he talked about perfection.

He said that even gods were not perfect, however him mentioning them also meant that gods were the closest thing to perfection.

If his calculations were correct, he should be able to form the most optimal transformation technique once he combined them all.

The immortal lady had told him that there were no dragons or phoenixes in the starry sky, but he didn’t need to look for them at all since his own sister was one.

She was truly his treasure trove.

He wouldn’t have been able to form nexus energy without comprehending her breathing technique either.

Now their relationship wasn’t that strained either. She had the heart to talk to him after all this while.

She was a kind girl at heart, Grey knew that very well, and the only reason she turned into an ice cold block of no emotion was due to the trauma the previous Grey induced on her.

He had to make it up to her somehow.

Maybe he would gift her a mansion.

Yes, she would definitely like a mansion.

Of course, if someone else heard what he was thinking, they would probably face palm. She was literally the reason Grey became an evolver, and all he was doing was giving her a mansion, and to make matters worse, the previous Grey used to bully her.

Of course, the latter part wasn’t Grey’s responsibility, that was what he thought at least.

”Yes, a mansion in the ascension province.” Grey nodded.

That should do it!

Coughing, he spoke out loud. ”Alright, my dear little sister, grow up to become a big and strong dragon. Your brother will be watching over you!”

Laughing, he opened a portal back to the mansion and left.

What he didn’t know was that Alissa, while being unconscious, was listening to all of this. She was the dragon that manifested above the secret realm.

She was utterly stunned.

Grey knew.

Grey knew she was a dragon.

She even heard him call her a true dragon straight to her face!

Just how long did he know about all this?!

However, she soon found herself sleeping once again, and following that, an energy barrier formed around her, enveloping her gently.

Soon, the secret realm went silent again as the energy barrier around Alissa pulsed softly, as she underwent transformation.

Back in the mansion, a spatial fissure appeared at the same spot it vanished and Grey emerged out of it.

As soon as he emerged, Evan anxiously came to him and spoke. ”What happened to her, Brother Grey?”

He glanced at Evan slightly and merely shrugged. ”She’s fine. She’s undergoing metamorphosis, she is not in danger.”

”What? She’s undergoing metamorphosis?” Evan was stunned.

”So even she managed to reach 2nd rank huh...?” He whispered to himself.

He couldn’t lag behind!

He decided he needed to catch up too!

Grey then turned to Lia.

She was now holding onto Little Hong in her embrace, who had surprisingly fallen asleep.

Grey had a strange expression on his face seeing this scene.

Lia looked like Little Hong’s mother, holding her with care.

But what was even more bizarre was how Little Hong fell asleep, since she was a 12th level 2nd ranker.

It honestly left him confused.

”Grey.” Lia softly called out to him when she saw him come back.

She had already heard the conversation with Evan, so she didn’t need to ask about Alissa, so she directly skipped to the main part.

”Do you know what Little Hong is?” Lia inquired.

To this, Grey simply nodded.

Grey had already noticed that both of them were talking telepathically, and from the looks of it, she seemed to share a connection with Little Hong.

There might be some relation between Little Hong and the gods.

As for what it was, he could only know after having a conversation with Lia.

”Let’s go back to my mansion.” Grey looked at the current state of the city lord mansion of the former city lord Dorian, it wasn’t livable yet and he wasn’t just going to throw the things out of here.

He would wait till Dorian woke up once again and left, and then do some renovation before moving in.

For now, it was time to return to Ashspire City.
