Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 172: Ascension Province (13)

With the Ardent Family and Interwire Company gone, it did not necessarily mean everything was over.

”Eterna. Have you made preparations to ban the Cyborg evolutionary path yet?” Grey called out to Eterna and spoke.

Her figure manifested in his mental interface and she spoke. ”I’ve made preparations.”

”Good.” Grey nodded.

The Cyborg evolutionary path was something the High Order created, and while it had spread across the Blue Star, with Eterna’s influence it could be effectively banned since she was the one who managed all evolutionary paths.

The Cyborg evolutionary path had a lot of potential, however, just letting others cultivate it was also dangerous.

From the information they retrieved from the High Order’s hideout, Grey thought that the so-called evolutionary path must be a byproduct of Varyn, however, Grey did not find anything remotely close to a creator invocation from him.

Meaning he was not the one who created the path and was only conducting experiments here in the Ascension Province to experiment on the law of machinery.

Of course, Grey had already thought about it before.

Not everyone was like him, possessing heaven-defying comprehension.

And he doubted that Varyn could actually make an evolutionary path from scratch.

His rank was far too shallow to even bother with something like that.

Only powerful beings at the Domain Manifestation Realm who were fourth rank experts might have a chance at creating something like this.

Even then, where would they have found information on the law of machinery?

Grey was certain that this was something those so-called transmigrators and reincarnators in this world had brought here along with their memories of a previous life.

Or perhaps even someone like the immortal lady who came from the starry sky.

Whatever the case was, for now, until they found the one with the creator invocation and maybe tried to make it his own.

Grey knew the potential of this path and he was not going to just give up on it.

In fact, if he put his mind into it, he could easily make it one of the top tier evolutionary paths.

However, without the invocation, it meant that those who followed the path were directly under the control of the High Order and he would only be doing the High Order a favor by modifying it.

Even he himself could reduce someone to nothing but a normal human as long as they followed his evolutionary path since he was the creator of it.

Until then, Eterna would ban it or else who knew what the High Order might do.

”I will announce the ban in a bit.” Eterna said emotionlessly.

”Alright.” Grey nodded.

With that settled, there was one more thing to do before he went back to the mansion.

And for that, he needed to pay Valeria a visit.

By now, he almost felt the burst force talisman’s strength diminishing.

It would not be long before its power lost its effect.

However, it did not matter, because in the end, he had become the city lord and nobody would question his status.

Even if they did, he would just send Little Hong at them.

With that said, Grey swiftly made his way to the Azrael Corporation, and he did not bother going through the skyscraper.

He directly went to the top floor and tapped on the window.

Valeria was sitting in her chair like usual and surprisingly Werner and the two disciples were there too.

Valeria flinched slightly when she saw the shadow suddenly looming around, and she immediately turned around only to see that it was open.

”Open the window.” Grey said with a deadpan look on his face.

”You scared me brother Grey.” Valeria said while heaving a sigh of relief.

She almost thought some enraged rogue 2nd ranker had decided to pay her a visit because they were unsatisfied with the corporation.

”Grandmaster!” Meiling and Meiying exclaimed at the same time as Valeria opened the window to let Grey in.

”Oh? Look at you both.” Grey was slightly surprised when he saw the twins.

No, their aura to be exact.

They were now officially at the second rank.

And their appearance had also changed drastically.

They had without a doubt become more beautiful than before.

They might only be two steps behind Lia in terms of beauty.

Of course, that was partially due to Lia becoming a god, how could an ordinary mortal match her appearance?

He was sure that his grand disciples would definitely have men queuing up for them now.

”We reached 2nd rank!” Meiying exclaimed. ”Me and Meiling were both fighting a 2nd ranker of the High Order and the pressure pushed us both to the 2nd rank.”

”And we beat them with one punch!” Meiling added.

They were undeniably more powerful than before indeed, and with them following the Aether evolutionary path it was only natural that they were stronger than usual.

Ordinary 2nd rankers would not even be able to touch them.

”What are you guys doing here?” Grey asked curiously.

This question was directed at Werner, as he left to find his disciple and Grey honestly expected him to go back to the Formation Association.

”Miss Valeria called me back.” Werner said. ”She said that she wanted a big formation to heal everyone in the corporation.”

”Oh.” Grey realized. Indeed, the Azrael Corporation was the major force that tried to clash with the High Order and there were bound to be a lot of casualties.

”There are almost more than a hundred casualties.” Valeria said while shaking her head slightly. ”If we make use of a large scale healing formation, their injuries should be fixed up right away.”

”Alright.” Grey smiled hearing this, he knew how much Valeria valued her subordinates and likewise these subordinates of hers were faithful to her.

”I’ll just inscribe a large healing formation myself, with them fighting, they must also have some corruption energy inside their system, I will inscribe one which will eliminate that as well.” He added.

”Then, please brother Grey.” Valeria said seriously. ”Please help my subordinates.”

Grey did not say more, he simply activated his mind perception and immediately he was able to see the injured soldiers on the lowest floor of the corporation’s tower.

The next moment, nexus energy surged out from his compressed star and immediately above the tower of the corporation special inscriptions lit up.
