Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 187: Province Meeting (14)

He knew she was likely talking about his connection with the other saints.

But, now wasn’t the best time to talk about it.

Grey kneeled down to Little Hong’s head level and spoke. ”We will discuss that later. Father still has some things to do. Be obedient and stay with Big Sister Lia, okay?”

”Yes.” Little Hong nodded with no emotion on her face. ”I will wait for Father.”

”Good.” Grey smiled and rubbed her head again.

”Also, stop calling me Father, just call me Grey.” Grey thought for a moment and said.

Being called Father was really old fashioned, and he was not even 18 years old yet, which he would be in a month or two.

”Okay, Father.” Little Hong nodded.

”...” Grey’s lips twitched.

She did not listen to a single thing he said, did she?

”No, do not call me Father, Little Hong. Just call me Grey. Okay? G R E Y? Come on, say it.”

”G... Grey?” Little Hong tilted her head in confusion and then nodded. ”Grey.”

”Good.” Grey heaved a sigh of relief.

Then he stood up and turned to Lia. ”Take care of her. I will be back soon and help you with fixing your energy issues.”

With that, he set off with Valeria and Werner.

As for his grand disciples, they stayed in the mansion with Little Hong and Lia. They had not met each other before, and since that was the case, they decided to make friends with them. They were curious about their grandmaster’s daughter as well.

...

From above, the vast complex of the Azrael Corporation came into view, its buildings arranged in neat rows like a fortified industrial city. The wind brushed past them as they descended, their figures cutting steadily through the air. None of them released any overt pressure, yet their controlled landing carried a natural sense of authority.

One by one, they touched down on the open grounds in front of the main facility. The workers and guards glanced over, briefly pausing what they were doing, but none dared approach. Grey dusted his hands and looked toward Valeria.

”What about the corporations, Valeria?” Grey asked the moment their feet settled. ”Are they gone yet?”

”Of course.” Valeria smiled brilliantly, showing her confidence. ”All I had to use was your name, and all the other corporations directly left the Ascension Province. In fact, they did not even bother staying in the North Land either, they fled beyond the range of it, they likely went toward the east or south.”

”Good. Clean up their place and turn that into our base.” Grey instructed. ”We can use that place for our own use.”

”Also, Werner.” Grey called out to his disciple. ”Keep all the members of the Formation Association on standby. Today we are going to make some changes to the arrays.”

He immediately nodded. ”I will arrange that, Master Grey.”

”Good.”

Since the four surrounding cities now belonged to him, it was only natural for him to bring them fully under his control and ensure their absolute safety.

His first step was obvious, he would forge a grand array.

Not just any barrier, but a colossal formation that integrated the Eliminate the Chickens array into its foundation, enhancing it severalfold.

This formation would spread across the entire region between the four cities, enveloping everything within a single protective net. Once completed, no external threat, hidden scheme, or lurking creature would be able to slip inside unnoticed. At the same time, this grand array would grant him complete dominion over the outer ring, the vast stretch of uncontrolled land between the cities.

The moment the formation settled, that land would effectively be his. The gangs, monsters, parasites, and all manner of trash that roamed the outer ring would instantly lose any chance to resist. They could only eat sh*t as their era came to an end.

After claiming the outer ring, he would begin large scale development. Towers, districts, cultivation zones, residential projects, defensive fortifications, everything would rise in sequence. Most importantly, he would unify all four cities into a single megacity.

No longer would people need to travel through dangerous corruption fields. No longer would crossing from one city to another feel like stepping into another world. He would construct stable roads, bridges, and transport routes that pierced directly through areas once twisted by corrupted energy.

With the array suppressing everything, those corrupted zones would be flattened and purified, and development would be built on top of them like it was nothing.

The elevator doors slid shut, and the capsule shot upward with impressive speed. In less than a minute, the doors opened again with a crisp sound. One by one, they stepped out.

The elevator doors slid shut and the cabin shot upward. In less than a minute, it reached the top. The doors opened, and they stepped out into the corridor that led directly to the meeting room.

Werner pushed the doors open.

Inside was a long conference hall centered around a large table. Sixteen seats were arranged around it, and every one of them was already occupied.

Sixteen powerful individuals.

Some bore the marks of age, while others still stood at the height of their years. These people were none other than the representatives of the major families of the four cities.

As soon as Grey stepped in, the atmosphere became tense.

No one dared to make a sound as they all stared at Grey silently.

Especially the four families of Ashspire City, the Graveson, the Valenford, Wynters and the Langford families.

These people were the ones most familiar with Grey.

After all, he was a major figure who was with the Azrael Corporation prior to this. The Gravesons and the Wynters knew him even better. Young Master Kane from the Wynters family, who got beaten up by Grey, had thoroughly explained what happened to them, and the first thing they did with him was beat him up even more.

In fact, the head of the family, Lukas Wynters, was shaking in his boots right now. His son had offended the City Lord, and he did not know what would happen today. Worst case scenario, he would be asked to leave the province.

He did not want that.

As for the Gravesons, Alex had already filled in all the details about Grey and his capabilities to the head. Honestly, he only had praises for Alex. He had gotten on Grey’s good side, and it was probably the best decision he could have ever made.

Since that was the case, he directly made Alex in charge of handling the family matters now. Before, he only had partial control, now he completely managed it.
