Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 179: Province Meeting (6)

”Then, how do you know about everything?” Lia eyed him suspiciously. ”Didn’t you say yourself that Eterna didn’t tell you anything about the starry sky.”

”I’m just talented.” Grey spread his arms. ”What can I say, nothing can hide from me. That’s just how things are.”

What he said wasn’t exactly false, nothing could be hidden from him for long because his heaven defying comprehension was truly heaven defying to the point all he had to do was deduce something and it would instantly give him the answer in the form of insights.

Not even the so-called gods who he now confirmed as higher dimensional beings could escape from it.

Actually, on the other hand, this thing also helped him comprehend nexus energy, didn’t that already speak for its capabilities?

Nexus energy was even more superior than the divine energy Lia cultivated.

”The same excuse again.” Lia grumbled. ”I’m tired of hearing it.”

Grey simply smiled helplessly. He really didn’t want to reveal things related to him, he couldn’t just say that he was from another world with no cosmic energy and was an ordinary citizen before crossing over, and the reason he knew about the starry sky was due to the extensive knowledge of the scientists and travelling to outer space in person back in his world, could he?

He just didn’t want to reveal the matters of his transmigration to anyone and that was the same for his cheat, even if he died he wouldn’t reveal it to anyone.

Its existence was peculiar to the point it outshined even the nexus energy he cultivated, he couldn’t even imagine its real origins and what sort of consequences would come from revealing it to anyone.

Besides, the rules of transmigration clearly specified to never reveal anything about your cheat to anyone.

As an avid NovelFire reader, he understood this rule all too well.

”I’m sorry, Lia. I really can’t reveal anything about myself. You should’ve already seen what happened to Orin Guy.”

”I understand.” Lia shook her head and smiled gently. ”I was only joking with you earlier. I won’t force you to say anything.”

She leaned closer and her voice softened, warm and sincere. ”When the day comes that you’re ready to tell me everything, I’ll be here. I’ll wait for you to open up to me. I want to know more about you.”

Grey raised an eyebrow when he heard her words.

This sounded like a confession for some reason.

For a moment, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Lia should really word herself better.

Still, he decided to tease her a little.

”Is that a confession Miss Lia?” Grey laughed.

Lia flinched when she heard this, she realized what she had just said straight to his face, her words were genuine but the way she worded them on the other hand...

Color rushed into her face, blooming across her cheeks like sunset spilling over snow.

”I... That’s not it!” She snapped her gaze away, covering her mouth with the back of her hand as if that could hide the embarrassment spreading across her face. ”Grey, don’t twist my words!”

Her voice came out a pitch higher than usual, which only made Grey grin wider.

”I only meant...” she tried again, but the moment she replayed her own words in her head, her flush deepened. ”I was being sincere, not... not that.”

”Who would confess to you?” Lia said while turning her head to the side. ”You’ve been teasing me continuously since we met. Don’t do that anymore!”

”I’m sorry Miss Lia, I hope you will forgive me.” Grey replied with a smile.

”Alright then, let’s get back to the topic.”

”Yes.” Lia immediately agreed, she hated being teased by Grey, and the worst part was she couldn’t even talk back, if this was any other man she would’ve said some harsh words.

But Grey was Grey. She couldn’t say anything to him for some reason.

Changing the subject, she spoke. ”Grey, Little Hong calls you her father, according to her, you created her and her siblings...”

”It’s not me.” Grey replied swiftly. ”I’m still only 17 years old! How can I be the father to her?!”

He didn’t want any misunderstanding, he was still 17, one or two months away from officially turning 18, how could he have created Little Hong.

Lia chuckled softly when she saw Grey explaining himself.

There were instances where Grey also panicked as well.

Sighing, he spoke. ”She thinks I’m her father because of my energy.”

”Because of your energy?” Lia frowned. ”Do you mean to say that your energy actually created Little Hong, the axe which helped me awaken?”

”I guess?” Grey tilted his head. ”That’s what Little Hong said at least, I don’t have definite proof that my energy created Little Hong or her siblings.”

”Little Hong doesn’t seem to be the type to lie.” Lia replied. ”But who are these siblings that she keeps talking about? I know that her so-called brother is someone who utilizes the law of Hongmeng like me.”

”I don’t know about that, but...” Grey paused, poured himself another drink of wine before staring blankly at Lia and speaking. ”The heavenly dao is her sibling according to her.”

”???” Lia’s expression stiffened when she heard this.

”Don’t worry. I had the same reaction too.” He chuckled dryly seeing her reaction.

”Are you sure you aren’t joking?” Lia asked with twitching lips.

She knew Grey liked to joke around but from his expression, she could already tell that there might be some truth to this.

”I wish I was.” Grey replied helplessly. ”Of course, I don’t trust it completely, maybe there was some sort of mistake, her memories aren’t complete yet after all.”

”She might be right.” Lia remembered the scene where she saw a woman walking towards a throne and within that scene, she heard the shout of ’Legion of gods’ calling out respectfully towards the woman as the ’Empress’ and she immediately began to receive the foreign informations like the one related to starry sky and one of the notable ones was:

”Gods are beings that exist equal to the heavenly dao.”

And considering the connection between her and Little Hong, there might be some relation between them, at the same time, there was a superiority to Little Hong whenever she observed her, if gods are beings that exist equal to the heavenly dao and the powerful and ancient axe that helped her awaken as a god was Little Hong, then it was very possible that Little Hong was a very powerful being as powerful as the heavenly dao.

Lia thought for a moment and decided to tell Grey about the woman and the words that appeared in her head as well.

”A woman called the Empress and the legion of gods?” Grey looked at Lia strangely.

He seemed to be in deep thought for a moment, then he spoke.

He seemed to have realized something.

”Lia. Are you perhaps the reincarnation of this woman?”
