Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 174: Province Meeting (1)

After the discussion with Valeria, Grey didn’t stay at Azrael Corporation anymore. With important things given to Valeria to handle, he directly went back to his mansion in the main district of sector one.

During the coming days, he would naturally shift to the city lord mansion above the sky that was once where City Lord Dorian lived, and now according to the rules he would have to shift there as well.

Swoosh!

Grey flew over the mansion and neatly descended.

As soon as he did, Lia swiftly came out from the mansion.

”You’re back.” Lia greeted him with a smile.

”It didn’t take much time to deal with the Ardent Family and the Interwire Corporation.” Grey said with a laugh.

”The Ardent Family and the Interwire Corporation?” Lia tilted her head in confusion.

”Right, you don’t know about them.” Grey shook his head. ”Basically, they are the ones that started this invasion. The city lord of this city, Orin Ardent, was colluding with the High Order, you should recognize him, he was the guy inside the mecha that fought with Dorian.”

”Him.” Lia nodded. She remembered him very well, after all, he was the one who went crazy after seeing some information related to Grey and got struck by lightning in the end.

”Yes. And the Interwire Corporation was also colluding with the High Order. That is precisely why I eliminated them. They weren’t worth keeping around anymore, and by tomorrow, the other corporations controlling Ashspire City will leave, and if they don’t, I will make them leave.” Grey added.

Lia was silent hearing the plans of Grey. The person in front of her was in fact the same age as her, no, a bit younger than her, and yet the difference in their statuses was equivalent to heaven and earth.

He was a 2nd rank citizen, and to top it all off, he was the city lord of four whole cities, which were now all officially 2nd rate cities.

He was only 17!

Lia knew how hard the status of city lord was to achieve. Even her father took almost 50 years of working in the military and earning merits to achieve his status as the city lord of a 3rd rate city.

If this was revealed to anyone else, then without a doubt they wouldn’t believe her.

Anyone sane would undoubtedly deny it.

Lia knew that Grey was very talented, he was in a completely different league of his own.

This was something she knew from day one, after all, she was the one who found out about his unusualness first.

She was confident in that fact since Alissa knew nothing about it.

She also wanted to reach the level of Grey and in the future also be able to help him somehow.

If not for him, she wouldn’t be alive today. She owed her life to him and so did the entirety of Nova City, yet they had deemed him as a traitor.

Just thinking about it made her incredibly angry.

However, now the news about this would come out and everything would change. She wanted to see the face of the people that thought ill of Grey.

”I know you have many questions.” Grey said after looking at Lia’s expression. ”Let’s go inside and make ourselves comfortable before discussing things, I also have a lot to ask you, your godhood for instance.”

”Yes.” Lia nodded.

She wanted to ask Grey about what he had been doing until now and talk about what happened with Little Hong, and also there were some things she saw when she awakened her powers, something perhaps she couldn’t tell anyone but Grey.

She trusted Grey and believed he would have answers to her questions, to her, Grey was all knowing.

Then, suddenly she sensed a presence, no, not one presence but many.

The temperature around the mansion rose sharply as the presences descended, and both Grey and Lia turned their attention to the sky.

There stood the army of the Infernals, holding onto their fire spears and burning with the power of hellfire.

[Your comprehension defies the heaven! By observing the Infernals you’ve gained insight into ’law of hellfire’]

One by one, the Infernals descended from the sky and immediately kneeled before Lia in unison.

”To think you can summon beings at the same power level as you. I’m impressed, Lia.” Grey couldn’t help but say.

Sure, he had Little Hong and Mimi, but compared to Lia, it was simply too little.

However, it was fine, his comprehension ability picked up on the ability of Lia, it was only a matter of time before he could spam an army too.

”Alright, let’s send them into the secret realm.” Grey clapped his hands as he spoke.

Immediately, a huge spatial fissure formed near the Infernals.

Seeing this, Lia immediately gave the Infernals the command to go inside.

They all paid their respects to Lia and immediately began walking into the secret realm.

Seeing this, Grey spoke to Lia. ”Come, let’s go inside and see.”

Grey wanted to make sure that they wouldn’t cause any trouble to the natural habitat of the secret realm, hence, he decided to put down a huge barrier around the place where they stayed.

”Can I?” Lia was shocked.

She never expected Grey to invite her in.

”Of course.” Grey laughed. ”You aren’t a stranger, come inside, I’ll show you around.”

A smile unconsciously formed on Lia’s face when she heard him. ”Okay!”

She also knew Alissa was inside, maybe she could check up on her as well.

With Grey guiding her, she entered the secret realm.

Immediately, she was hit with dizziness, and her body swayed uncontrollably. Only when her stomach lurched did she realize she was no longer standing on solid ground, she was in the air.

Her vision blurred for a heartbeat.

Just as she completely lost control, a firm hand suddenly caught her waist.

Lia’s heart immediately skipped a beat.

She blinked and looked up to see Grey looking back at her with a smile.

”Little Miss Lia, are you fine?” He asked with a laugh. ”I should’ve said that the portal directly led to the sky of the secret realm.”

His hand was still firmly holding onto her waist.

Lia’s face immediately turned as red as a tomato, the dizziness faded instantly, and she spoke. ”I-I’m fine.”

Then, she paused and spoke with a hint of shyness. ”Y-You can let go of me.”

Grey smiled hearing this and let her go.

”Thank you for catching me.” She said while being embarrassed.

”It’s fine.” Grey replied. ”Nothing would’ve happened to you even if you fell from this altitude either way, I just did what anyone else would’ve done.”

Lia nodded at him with her face still slightly red from what happened.

This was a totally normal reaction for a girl Lia’s age, however, she herself didn’t realize it yet.

However, her mind shifted the next moment when she saw the world around her, she swiftly forgot what happened just now when she saw the realm.

What she saw quite literally astonished her.

Lots of towering mountains, rivers, beautiful forests, and even beasts roaming around stretched out endlessly around her in all four directions.

She didn’t expect this at all.

Usually, secret realms weren’t even as big as a mountain, but here there were many.

”Welcome to my secret realm.” Grey said with a smile. ”I own this place.”
