Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 186: Province Meeting (13)

”Haa...” Grey woke up abruptly while breathing heavily.

His Saint’s Eyes glowed unnaturally, its Q-shaped symbol blinking with power.

Grey then noticed that he was no longer inside his room.

”???”

Looking around, he saw his nexus energy running completely wild and the mansion that was once there was gone.

Around him was only destruction and people.

Grey stared blankly at the crowd that had appeared beside him.

Werner, Meiling, Meiying, Valeria, Lia and Little Hong all stared at Grey with worried looks on their faces.

”You’re awake!” Lia rushed to Grey with a hint of worry.

So did Valeria.

Seeing this, the grand disciples followed suit, as well as Werner and Little Hong.

”What happened, Brother Grey?” Valeria asked in a serious tone.

She would not have rushed here if not for the severity of the matter.

She could feel Grey’s power even from down in the Azrael Corporation headquarters, and for some amount of hours, a purple light had completely covered the entirety of Ashspire City.

The source was none other than Grey, who had wrecked havoc in the inner district.

The nearby families living there trembled in fear after sensing the aura.

Even Lia had been swept away by the power, but Little Hong came to her rescue in time and swiftly created a barrier around them to keep Grey’s power from spreading.

”I’m fine.” Grey swiftly took control of his nexus energy and stood up from the ground.

”What exactly happened, Master?” Werner asked with a frown.

He knew Grey very well, and losing control over his own energy was the last thing he would expect from his master.

”It’s probably something related to the breakthrough. I broke through without a definite method to reach the 1st level after all, I’m still a pseudo 2nd ranker.” Grey shook his head and spoke.

The matters of his dreams he most definitely would not reveal to anyone.

Even if he did, they would not understand a single thing.

The magnitude of the things he saw was simply incomprehensible to ordinary mortals like them.

Even he himself was confused by it.

Since that was the case, the best way to explain the sudden outburst was his own lack of ability.

Of course, the explanation he gave them would probably never happen.

If it did, then he might as well jump down a cliff and reincarnate.

By now, everyone present except his grand disciples probably knew that he was the one who created the Aether Evolutionary Path.

Especially Werner, who one hundred percent knew he was the author behind it.

Valeria was really good at connecting the dots, she should have already figured it out by now, especially after knowing he was a 2nd rank citizen.

As for Lia, she was the first one to know and even to become suspicious of it.

There was no need to say anything more.

They all silently nodded at this.

No one spoke out loud, as they knew there were watchful eyes everywhere.

”I’m sorry if I made you guys worried.” Grey said with a smile.

He was thankful that there were people in this world who genuinely cared for him.

These people, he would make sure no one harmed them.

Speaking of people he cared about, it had been a while since he saw Richard or even contacted him.

He had already arranged plans for that.

He would attend the meeting and after that set off to Nova City.

He still had some things to deal with there.

Such as the Duskwood family and also taking over Nova City.

In fact, he would not stop with Nova City.

He was going to get the other two cities too.

Then, Eterna abruptly appeared in his head, seemingly aware of what had happened.

”Was it really just losing control of your powers?” she asked in an emotionless tone.

”Yes, that is indeed the case.” Grey replied while shrugging.

”Alright.” Eterna nodded, then came straight to the point.

”The guy from the Federation should reach Ascension Province in a few hours.”

”The guy from the Federation?” Grey sneered. ”What’s he going to do? Come wash my feet? Why didn’t you send him back, Eterna.”

”Once dispatched, I cannot make them go back.” Eterna replied in her usual tone.

”Whatever.” Grey combed through his long hair and tied it into a ponytail.

”I’ll just deal with him when he comes.”

”For now, it’s time to meet the factions.”

He had already checked the time.

It was almost 10 AM the next day, meaning it was time to go meet everyone.

He turned to Valeria. ”Is everything prepared?”

”Yes.” Valeria nodded. ”Everything has been arranged. Everyone should have arrived in the Azrael Corporation by now.”

”But I think we should postpone it. You aren’t well right now, and presenting yourself to the top factions while injured is definitely not a good look. We also don’t know what they are like.” Valeria thought for a moment and added.

”It’s fine.” Grey chuckled.

”The energy outburst was just a one-time thing. There is nothing to worry about. It will not happen again, I already took care of it.”

”Besides, aren’t you and Werner with me? It will be fine.” He added as he nodded at them.

Valeria and Werner would naturally participate in the meeting.

One was his business partner and the other was his disciple.

Speaking of them, he turned to Lia.

”Were you hurt?” Grey inquired as he sensed her life aura.

Nothing seemed different from before, she was perfectly healthy.

”Little Hong came in time and saved me from getting injured.” Lia replied with a look of unease.

If not for Little Hong, she would have most likely been severely injured as she was sleeping with no defense whatsoever.

”Good work, Little Hong.” Grey smiled and patted his daughter’s head.

She had been silently standing by the side and observing everything like a curious child in her learning phase.

”Un.” Little Hong nodded obediently.

”Father, what happened? Why did your energy suddenly go all wild?”

Little Hong, being a sensible child, used Telepathy to speak directly to Grey.

”I... I felt something just now. It was like a tiny string connecting to you for a moment.”
