Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2194: Chapter 2189: Special Missions for Special Times

The young man seemed to be very repulsed by Yuan Yunong’s flippant manner. He waved the smoke away from his face, frowned, and said, ”I’m sorry! I can’t report to you! I must absolutely obey Cang Lang’s orders.”

”You!” Yuan Yunong looked at the young man angrily and said, ”This is a special period, and I have a special task that needs to be reported to Cang Lang. What if you delay it, and it causes me not to complete my second task? Do you know this task is very important and concerns the future of the organization? If you delay it, causing my task to go wrong, then you better watch out, Cang Lang might take your life!”

The coffee-selling young man looked at Yuan Yunong, seeming to sense no deceit in her words. After cautiously considering for a few seconds, he said, ”Alright then! You go upstairs, and I’ll call Cang Lang! Let’s see what he says.”

”No!” Yuan Yunong refused the proposal of the coffee young man very straightforwardly. She leaned her upper body on the bar and said while looking at him, ”Don’t play tricks on me. Make the call right now, I want to watch you do it!”

”Are you worried I’m deceiving you?”

”Yes! Very worried.” Yuan Yunong looked at him leisurely, ”So, I must see you make the call with my own eyes and hear Cang Lang’s words with my own ears!”

”It’s very dangerous for you to do this. You must go upstairs quickly! Here people come and go, if someone notices this, it’s all over!” The coffee young man was very cautious.

”Who would notice me? Rest assured! I’m very careful.” Yuan Yunong said, pointing to the sparsely populated street outside, ”Look for yourself, how many people are on the road? It’s already dark, who would come here for coffee now?”

The coffee young man couldn’t persuade her, so reluctantly, he made a call to Hua Jin.

Hua Jin had just finished a surgery and returned to his assigned single dorm at the hospital, and just as he was about to take a shower, the phone on the living room table rang.

He picked up the phone, and heard the voice of the coffee young man from the other end: ”Boss, Hei Mei is here! She says she wants to see you, has urgent matters to report!”

The moment Hua Jin heard it was Yuan Yunong, he directly hung up the phone.

The dial tone buzzed in the receiver, and the coffee young man shook his head helplessly: ”Cang Lang said nothing and just hung up the call.”

”Call again!” Yuan Yunong gritted her teeth and said, ”This time, don’t say anything, directly tell him I have successfully completed the second task!”

”This...” The coffee young man hesitated, he had already disturbed Cang Lang.

Since Cang Lang hung up, his intention was clear, which was that he did not want to answer the call.

”Hurry up!” Yuan Yunong pounded the table, a sharp gleam flashed in her eyes, ”This is the last time! If Cang Lang doesn’t answer the phone again, I won’t trouble you anymore.”

”You said it.”

”I said it.”

The coffee young man dialed the number again, this time waiting a long while before Hua Jin finally picked up the phone: ”Why call again? What did I instruct you?”

”Hei Mei, she...”

Before the coffee young man could finish his sentence, the receiver was suddenly snatched by Yuan Yunong.

”Hua Jin, I must report to you! I’ve completed my second important mission! I want to report to you face to face!” Yuan Yunong gave Hua Jin no chance to speak, and finished in one breath.

”What? Are you sure?” Hua Jin squinted his eyes and asked.
