Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2191: Chapter 2186: The Old Lady’s Failing Eyes

”Even if your son doesn’t eat, there’s your daughter-in-law and grandson, right? Don’t they eat?” Zhang Yun didn’t want to pay attention to Ning Yibin and turned to Xiaoliu, ”Remember! Don’t buy ribs with too much fat! If there’s a place that sells live chickens, buy one and make some chicken soup tonight.”

”Yes!”

Qin Jian returned home with his wife and child.

Ning Chenyang and Ning Chenguang arrived home, and the two little ones excitedly rushed to Zhang Yun.

”Grandma!”

”My two little darlings!” Zhang Yun squatted down, hugged and kissed the two little ones, and said, ”It’s been so long since you visited grandma; I almost missed you to death.”

”We missed grandma too.”

Zhang Yun looked at her two grandsons with satisfaction, quickly grabbed their little hands, walked to the coffee table, and said, ”Here, grandma prepared some goodies for you. Yangyang loves apples! Guangguang loves grapes! Come, take them!”

The two little ones glanced at each other but neither reached out.

”What’s wrong? Why aren’t you reaching out?” Zhang Yun was stunned.

”Mom! You’ve got them mixed up.” An Hao said with a laugh.

”What? I can’t mix up my grandsons, that’s impossible!” Zhang Yun refused to believe it.

”Really!” Usually, An Hao distinguishes them by dressing them in different clothes. This time, she didn’t bother to make the effort and simply bought two identical outfits.

Qin Jian also took them for identical haircuts, so not only was Zhang Yun confused, if they stood still without speaking, even An Hao almost mixed them up.

They are identical twins, naturally more alike than fraternal twins.

”Old woman with poor eyesight!” Ning Yibin muttered, then turned to Qin Jian, ”You and An Hao come to the study with me. I have something to tell you.”

For many years, this was the first time Qin Jian saw his father angry at him.

Looking at his father’s furrowed brows, graying hair, and deeply wrinkled corners of his eyes, Qin Jian realized his father was getting old and would soon retire.

His voice was as deep and powerful as ever, but Qin Jian still heard a sense of desolation and fatigue in it.

”Qin Jian, tell me, how do you see this matter? An Hao was only away for a little over three months to study, and now there’s this unclear affair between you and that kindergarten teacher! I heard that today you even went to the principal to plead for this incompetent kindergarten teacher! Do you know how people speculate about relationships!” Ning Yibin admonished his son angrily, with his hands behind his back.

”Dad! You have to believe me, there’s really nothing between Yuan Yunong and me! It’s all rumors. Her work has some negligence, but it doesn’t warrant dismissal!” Qin Jian explained.

Bang~

Ning Yibin grabbed the teacup on the table and smashed it on the ground, tea spilled everywhere, and pieces of the porcelain cup scattered all around.

Qin Jian didn’t expect his father’s anger to be so intense. After staring at Ning Yibin in shock for a few seconds, he said, ”Dad, don’t be angry! I’ll pay attention to these issues in the future!”

”You don’t have to tell me this! Go and tell An Hao! See if she can forgive your excessive behavior!” Ning Yibin said angrily, ”The person you’re most unfair to in all this is An Hao! Do you understand?”
