Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2151: Chapter 2147: There’s a Reason They Like You

”Well, your tastes are just like your grandpa’s!” Zhang Yun smiled as she looked at the two little ones becoming more and more like Qin Jian, full of affection.

”Let’s go! Let’s go home and eat something delicious!” The two children shouted happily, tugging on Zhang Yun and running.

Zhang Yun suddenly felt dizzy and quickly exclaimed, ”Stop, stop! Grandma’s head is spinning... Dizzy!”

Yuan Yunong had just locked the kindergarten doors after sending the kids out and caught sight of Zhang Yun and the two children not far ahead, quickly catching up.

”Auntie, what’s wrong? You don’t look well at all!”

Zhang Yun turned to see Yuan Yunong and truthfully told her, ”I have a bit of a cold, feel chills, and dizzy.”

”You’re feeling so unwell, let me take you to the medical room for a check-up?” Yuan Yunong offered with concern.

”No need. I’ve checked, it’s just a cold with a bit of a low fever. No big deal!” Zhang Yun said.

”But you really don’t look good...” Yuan Yunong glanced at Zhang Yun and then at the two kids, saying, ”How about I take you home? You’re alone taking care of two kids and cooking while sick, it’s tough! I’m off work and free, let me go with you.”

”Oh dear! Teacher Yuan, isn’t this a bit much?” Zhang Yun felt somewhat apologetic, knowing her family had already troubled her quite a bit, and now it was happening again.

”What’s there to be embarrassed about! Let’s go!” Yuan Yunong took the groceries from Ning Chenyang’s hand and told the two kids, ”Ning Chenyang, Ning Chenguang, your task is to hold onto grandma and protect her on the way home!”

”Got it, Teacher Yuan!”

On the way home, Zhang Yun couldn’t help but express her gratitude multiple times: ”Thank goodness for you! Originally, I didn’t want to trouble you, but my health is really not holding up. You know, Tian Niu’s wife, Gu Shuangshuang, she’s a nice kid, always coming over with the kids to see us. But she’s hopeless at housework, also doesn’t cook well. Last time, she insisted on cooking for me. In the end, I spent the whole morning with three kids, and Shuangshuang not only failed to cook but almost set the house on fire. I was terrified!”

Yuan Yunong could imagine the scene and couldn’t help but laugh, saying, ”Don’t worry, I definitely won’t let that happen! You can be at ease!”

”Great! That’s really wonderful.” Zhang Yun studied Yuan Yunong’s face for a while, saying, ”You know, my grandsons are right to like you. You look quite similar to my daughter-in-law.”

Yuan Yunong chuckled softly with a gentle voice, ”Auntie, you’re flattering me. I can’t compare to Doctor An!”

”You don’t have to be humble.” Zhang Yun laughed, ”I don’t give compliments easily. I only do if someone truly matches my temperament and makes me feel good!”

”Well... I am truly honored.” Yuan Yunong smiled, pursing her lips.

”Wow, wow, wow! Zhang Yun, your relationship with the kindergarten teacher is quite good, huh? If I didn’t know better, I’d think she’s your daughter-in-law!” Zhuang Wenhui returned with Wang Xiaohu from the medical room and happened to bump into Zhang Yun downstairs.
