Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2170: Chapter 2165: Departed Loved Ones 2

A faint sound of footsteps came from behind, Yuan Yunong turned back to look, only to see another man holding an umbrella, walking step by step towards him.

His face was obscured by the umbrella, making it hard to see, but through his walking posture and chubby body, Yuan Yunong felt he resembled Hou Zicheng.

”Why are you here?” Yuan Yunong asked.

”I came to see you.” Hou Zicheng stopped at a place two tombstones away from her, bent down, and placed the white chrysanthemum in his hand in front of the tombstone.

”Is this your relative?” Yuan Yunong asked.

”No.” Hou Zicheng smiled and said, ”I don’t know them. I came here to meet you.”

”How did you know I would come out?”

”Because Cang Lang asked me to contact you. Early this morning, I sent someone to the entrance of the military district, and just as the other side was wondering how to get you out, they happened to see you coming out of the compound.” Hou Zicheng said.

”So it was a coincidence?”

”Yes.”

”Why did Cang Lang ask you to find me?” Yuan Yunong turned and asked, ”Why doesn’t he contact me directly?”

”You already met yesterday. Cang Lang said your emotions were very intense! He was afraid you might do something outrageous, so he asked me to meet you and remind you a few things.” Hou Zicheng said.

”What’s wrong with Cang Lang!!” Yuan Yunong was very angry, and her voice became several tones higher.

”Keep your voice down. Stand there, don’t move, don’t turn around.” Hou Zicheng quickly whispered a reminder to her, ”I have already been targeted by the National Security Bureau, so I need to be very careful. This meeting is a bit risky, try to act like you don’t know me to avoid being noticed.”

”Alright.” Yuan Yunong suppressed the anger in her heart and said, ”I’ve already found out that those two are the ones who hurt my brother. But Cang Lang won’t let me take revenge. It’s just because he fancies An Hao.”

”Hei Mei, I’ve always thought you were a very mature woman. But I didn’t expect you to have such childish thoughts.” Hou Zicheng said with a faint smile.

”Childish? Tell me, how am I childish?”

Yuan Yunong asked defiantly.

”Do you think you can kill those two? I can say, you might kill them first, but you’ll be arrested right after! Do you think you can get away?” Hou Zicheng said, ”Stop being stubborn with him. Completing the task is the most important thing!”

Yuan Yunong was silent for a long time, then raised her hand to wipe away the tears at the corner of her eyes: ”Tell me about my brother.”

”About your brother, I don’t know much. I only know he was always involved in drug trafficking! During a border drug trafficking operation, he was killed by a joint operation of the police and military! I don’t know how they handled the body either.”

Since Hei Mei asked her to help find her brother, he couldn’t refuse.

Unfortunately, by the time he found out about this person, he hadn’t had time to look for him.

Then the newspaper published a report saying the police had cracked an armed drug trafficking organization.

He read that report thoroughly and saw the name Hei Mei had always wanted to find.

Later, after his multiple investigations, he learned that this deceased drug dealer was actually Hei Mei’s brother, who had been missing for more than ten years.

And he didn’t die at the hands of the police at the border drug trade, but was killed by someone, who sliced his throat with a blade and drained his blood.
