Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2190: Chapter 2185: You Don’t Believe in Your Son Either

”Are you telling the truth?” Qin Jian asked.

”Yes.” Yuan Yunong smiled, her gaze very sincere, ”I think Chenyang must be a smart kid too, it’s just that his intelligence hasn’t been developed yet. He just doesn’t have Chenguang’s amazing ability to remember everything at a glance.”

”Ms. Yuan, is that really what you think?”

”Yes. That’s right!”

”Alright. In the future, I will pay more attention to the children’s education.” Qin Jian said.

”Okay. Then I’ll leave now. Thank you, Commander Qin!” After thanking him several times, Yuan Yunong left.

...................

The ruckus in the military district had blown up, and it had become a scandal.

This scandal reached Ning Yibin’s ears, and for the first time, he slapped the table and got angry. The son whom he always considered his pride had done such a thing.

No matter what kind of relationship Yuan Yunong had with his son, he could not plead for her.

First, the impact was very bad. Second, it would hurt An Hao’s feelings.

Considering these two points, Comrade Ning immediately called Qin Jian’s office urgently after hearing the rumors about him recently.

”Hello!” Qin Jian, who was engrossed in writing the quarterly work summary, picked up the phone.

”Qin Jian! Come home immediately! Bring your wife and child!” Ning Yibin said straight to the point.

”Dad? Did something happen?” Sensing something wrong in Ning Yibin’s tone, Qin Jian asked directly.

”Don’t you know what’s happened? Why so much nonsense? I told you to come home, so come home! I order you now, immediately, right away! Get back here and don’t delay for a moment!” With that, Ning Yibin hung up the phone with a snap.

It was nearly dinner time, and the orderly was preparing the meal.

Ever since Zhang Yun had been hospitalized several times, she noticeably felt her health wasn’t what it used to be. Feng Yuzhi and Old Yan both advised her to stop being so busy.

As you get older and your health isn’t good, these things can be left to the orderly.

Since it was originally supposed to be enjoyed, Zhang Yun should stop being stubborn.

Knowing her son’s family would be coming over soon, Zhang Yun instructed Xiaoliu, ”Go buy two fish! And then get five pounds of pork ribs...”

Before she finished giving her instructions, Ning Yibin came out of the room with a dark face, ”What fish? What ribs? After doing such embarrassing things, you still have the face to eat?”

”Old Ning!” Zhang Yun disliked her husband’s tone and attitude, ”Is this how you talk? Even if others don’t believe in our son, don’t we? Our son wouldn’t do such things. You’ve seen it, the bond between our son and his wife is stronger than gold. They’ve been through so many storms over the years, they’ve come through it all, how could they stumble over something so small?”

”No matter if he did such a thing or not! The rumors outside are everywhere! Do you know what that means for a soldier? The impact of such things is too bad! If it goes too far, his superiors will have to discipline him!” Ning Yibin said angrily.

He is a general!

He hopes his son will also become a general one day!

But if Qin Jian keeps messing up like this, forget being a general, he might not even achieve the rank of colonel and just have to pack up and go home.
