Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2181: Chapter 2176: I’ve Had Enough of Days Like This

”I hit her, so what? Does it hurt you?” An Hao raised her chin, shouting at Qin Jian, ”Didn’t you ask me why I accused Yuan Yunong? I’m protecting our children! This kind of teacher is unqualified, why has this never happened in other classes, but only in our child’s class! This is the teacher’s dereliction of duty! The teacher’s negligence has put my child at risk time and again! So, I’m doing it for the children! I have not conspired with Liao Ting, similarly, as a mother, she shares similar feelings with me!”

”Have you ever thought that your action might cause Teacher Yuan to lose her beloved career! Moreover, you know how mischievous Wang Xiaohu is! At home, these three kids fight often! So does that mean you’re an unqualified mother?” Qin Jian stood firmly on Yuan Yunong’s side.

An Hao was furious, ”Qin Jian! You bastard! Do you only have Yuan Yunong in your heart and eyes? Can’t you see how your own children are doing? Have you ever asked how I am? Look at my face...”

As she spoke, An Hao pointed to the side of her face, ”See this? The five-finger mark, do you see it? I was hit by Liao Ting! Did you ask me about it? No, you didn’t! Because you only have Yuan Yunong in your eyes!”

At first, the two were pretending, but as they argued, they got caught up in the act.

The two children watched their parents arguing fiercely, terrified into absolute silence, not daring to say a word.

They stared blankly at their parents, pursing their little lips, not even daring to cry.

”Enough! Qin Jian, I’ve had enough of living like this! I’m leaving! Don’t you like her? I’ll leave this house to you two! Do whatever you want!” An Hao said and stormed out, slamming the door.

After a few steps, she turned back.

Then she pushed the door open again and said angrily, ”Qin Jian, we’ve been married for so many years! The kids are so grown up, do you think I’m old and ugly, so you favor the new over the old? You don’t have me in your heart anymore, I hate you! I will never forgive you!”

Qin Jian, equally angry, replied, ”An Hao! You know what kind of person I am since we’ve been married so long! You should know! You don’t even give me the basic trust! It’s not me who favors the new over the old, it’s you who have changed! If you keep going like this, I’m afraid our marriage won’t last!”

After she finished, An Hao bit her lip in hatred, shot him a glance, and stormed out, slamming the door.

The house fell silent.

Yuan Yunong, covering her face, looked at Qin Jian apologetically and said, ”Captain Qin, I’m sorry, did I do something wrong? Have I disrupted the peace and harmony of your family? I really didn’t expect this! If I had known this would be the result, I wouldn’t have visited while Dr. An wasn’t home, let alone come here to take care of you!”

”You’re not wrong! She’s the one who’s wrong!” Qin Jian irritably unbuttoned his collar, hung his cap on the coat rack, and then asked Yuan Yunong, ”How are you? Did it hurt when she hit you?”

”It’s fine. I’m alright!” Yuan Yunong shook her head, tears streaming down her eyes.
