Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2192: Chapter 2187: Absentminded

Just as Qin Jian was about to speak, An Hao gently patted his arm and said, ”Qin Jian, I think it’s necessary to let Father know about this. I believe parents are the ones who care the most about us and are the most trustworthy! If we don’t say anything, they might really get worried.”

”Well... alright!” Qin Jian pondered for a moment and said, ”Actually, Yuan Yunong is a spy! We’ve basically confirmed this, but An Hao and I discovered that she seems to have another major mission. In other words, this spy is carrying a dual mission. To figure out her second mission and catch her red-handed as a spy, An Hao and I played along with her in a drama...”

In the living room.

Zhang Yun was playing with the two children.

”Grandma, you’ve misplaced the chess pieces again! Ah, how come you’re so different from Grandpa?” Ning Chenyang complained as he watched Zhang Yun mix up the positions of the ”knight” and the ”elephant” pieces.

”Oh oh. Grandma didn’t see it clearly! Let’s do it again.” Zhang Yun casually rearranged the chess pieces correctly.

After she finished setting up the chess pieces, she noticed that both children seemed a little distracted.

”Hey? Yangyang, Guangguang, why aren’t you two playing? Weren’t you the ones who kept clamoring to play chess? Grandma’s already set it up, why aren’t you playing?”

”Grandma! Look at you, your eyes are on the chessboard, but your ears have probably flown away already, right?” Ning Chenguang popped a bunch of grapes into his mouth one by one.

Ning Chenyang seemed to have seen through Zhang Yun’s attitude as well, so he hugged an apple and began to eat it earnestly.

Seeing that her two grandsons had read her mind, Zhang Yun decided to put the chessboard away and said, ”Fine! If you don’t want to play, we won’t.”

As soon as she finished speaking, a loud sound of a cup being smashed came from the study, startling Zhang Yun greatly.

”Your grandpa, that old coot, is losing his temper again!”

”Grandma, you’re talking bad about my grandpa again!” Ning Chenyang said while chewing on the apple.

”You little rascal. Come over here, both of you. Grandma wants to ask you, are your dad and mom fighting all the time?” The last time Zhang Yun left, her son and daughter-in-law were in a period of quarrelling and cold war.

Although she was worried, her son and daughter-in-law had said everything was fine, so she didn’t say much.

But this time when she came back, it wasn’t long before she heard from Zhuang Wenhui, that big mouth, about Qin Jian and An Hao fighting, making everyone here find out.

”Yes! Didn’t you know? Yesterday, mom was so fierce she even slapped the teacher’s face! Dad kept protecting the teacher, and as a result, mom ran off in anger!” Ning Chenguang spat out the grape skins and said.

The smile on Zhang Yun’s face disappeared, and she sighed deeply, ”Sigh!”

Her actions were seen by her two grandsons, and they tugged at Zhang Yun’s arm to comfort her, ”Grandma! Don’t sigh! Dad and Mom made up later.”

”Really?” Zhang Yun asked.

”Yeah.” Ning Chenyang secretly leaned over to Zhang Yun and said, ”Grandma! You probably didn’t know, but I woke up at night and saw Dad and Mom kissing! Mom was so happy! You don’t have to worry at all.”

”Oh, you rascal! Not sleeping at night, what are you sneaking around for?” Zhang Yun pursed her lips, unable to hold back her laughter.
