Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1536: Chapter 1536: Does it Taste Good or Not?

”I feel sorry for her. This woman is quite impressive, having started a business from scratch. Now that the business has grown, she’s a big boss. What kind of man can’t a woman like that find? But she just had to fall for Hen Zhiyuan. Tell me, what’s so great about him?” An Hao said, carefully slicing the apple into segments and handing them to Qin Jian.

”It’s no surprise coming from someone who handles surgical knives. Even cutting an apple is an art form,” Qin Jian commented as he took a slice of apple from her and chewed it with gusto.

”Is it good?” An Hao watched Qin Jian enjoying the apple, her eyes curving into a smile.

”Mmm, delicious. Do you want to try?” Qin Jian smirked.

”Sure,” An Hao said as she lowered her head to peel a piece of apple for herself. Just as she was about to pop it into her mouth, Qin Jian suddenly hooked her neck and pressed his warm, soft lips against hers.

”Mmm... what... what are you doing...” An Hao, caught off guard and still holding an apple and a knife, asked in surprise.

Qin Jian paid her no attention, gently sucking on her lips. His tongue pried her lips apart, entering her mouth to tangle and twist with hers!

An Hao’s body turned limp as he kissed her intensely, she lacked the strength to resist, leaning completely into Qin Jian’s embrace. She no longer cared about the apple and knife in her hands, tossing them aside as she clung to his neck, passionately responding to the kiss. Their lips and tongues grew wilder, interspersed with low breaths.

After a long while, An Hao felt like she was running out of oxygen and finally pushed Qin Jian away, gasping for fresh air.

A captivating flush quietly spread across her cheeks, the kind brought on by deep affection.

”How about that? How’s the taste?” Qin Jian, still breathing heavily, looked at An Hao’s swollen lips with a gleam in his eye, his tone filled with the triumphant glee of a child who’s pulled off a prank.

”I was asking if the apple was tasty,” An Hao scolded with feigned annoyance, ”Were you playing dumb on purpose? It seems to me that your injury’s almost healed over the past few days, so now you’re getting restless again, aren’t you?”

Qin Jian chuckled and told her very frankly and objectively, ”I’m afraid the instances of me being restless are only going to increase from here on. You’d better be prepared. But my instincts tell me you’ll be very happy about it.”

”What’s there for me to be happy about if you’re restless?” An Hao rolled her eyes at him.

”Of course. I can take you to Mount Wu for a romantic encounter...” After saying this, Qin Jian added with a sense of admiration, ”The ancients were indeed amazing, to be able to speak of such matters with such elegance.”

An Hao couldn’t help but burst into laughter, ”Alright, stop with your nonsense. I’m telling you, until your injuries are completely healed, I absolutely won’t allow it. You just bear with it patiently.”

”Okay, I’ll listen to my wife,” Qin Jian replied, thinking that they would deal with the specifics when the time came.

An Hao was very satisfied with Qin Jian’s response, ”To talk about having good judgment, I’m the one with good judgment! Although Guan Qing is a formidable woman in the business world, her taste in men really can’t compare to mine.”

”Oh?” Qin Jian looked at her with interest, ”Tell me, what about me touched your heart in the first place?”

”Can I say it was from a previous lifetime?” An Hao said with a smile.

”I’ll believe whatever you say.”

”I’ve realized you’re quite the sweet talker now! Why didn’t I notice it before?” An Hao laughed, ”I really have found a treasure, lucky for me that Guan Qing was blind.”

”You’re wrong there,” Qin Jian said.
