Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1528: Chapter 1528: Evidence for Case Investigation

While Yan Huan was executing his plan, An Hao and Qin Jian were also busy.

In the ward.

Qin Jian and Zhang Jianguo were talking, and the topic was this matter.

”You’re saying Hen Zhiyuan intentionally let go of your hand? And he even kicked Tian Niu’s foot away?” Zhang Jianguo asked in astonishment.

He had considered this possibility in his heart, thinking it might be Hen Zhiyuan who looked on helplessly in death, but he didn’t expect Hen Zhiyuan to actually do such a thing.

”Yes. That’s exactly what happened. Commander, I didn’t tell a single lie,” Qin Jian said earnestly to Zhang Jianguo.

”I believe you. How about this, you write up a report. Submit it up the chain of command, and if he really did kick Tian Niu down and intentionally let go during the rescue, then he’s harming his comrades. We can transfer his case to the security division for investigation. If everything turns out to be true, we can file a lawsuit with the military court,” Zhang Jianguo said.

”Okay,” Qin Jian’s facial expression was very tense, ”I’ll have someone gather the evidence right now.”

”That’s not going to be easy, right?” An Hao had his concerns, ”The security division can start an investigation, but we need evidence, right? What if the evidence isn’t sufficient? We only have witnesses... Can’t the military deal with this directly?”

”After all, he’s a deputy regimental commander! Moreover, the actions you mentioned definitely constitute a crime. If we want him to receive the punishment he deserves, we must have the security division to assess it and apply to the military procuratorate or military court for arrest and execution,” Zhang Jianguo explained.

”Then, is there still a chance he could escape punishment?” An Hao asked.

”That’s possible.”

”That absolutely can’t happen,” Qin Jian clenched his fists, ”Even if he hasn’t harmed us, keeping him in the forces will still be a disaster. Even if the military court doesn’t approve arrest, we still need to kick him out of the military.”

”I’ll go prepare the evidence right now,” An Hao said.

”How will you prepare it?” Qin Jian asked casually.

”Do you remember the little boy you rescued? Although he didn’t witness the incident, he did hear you arguing. This might not count as direct evidence, but it’s indirect evidence, right?” An Hao had previously arranged for two boys, thinking that one day they might be useful.

”What if it’s of no use...?”

”We have to try anyway. Whether it’s useful or not, we must give it a shot,” An Hao said resolutely.

”Okay,” Zhang Jianguo stood up, ”I’ll arrange for a few soldiers to go with you to pick up those two boys. Regardless, we need to let the security division start an investigation.”

”Alright,” An Hao agreed.

Upon hearing this, Qin Jian gently took An Hao’s hand, saying apologetically, ”I’m sorry! I am unable to move right now, and you have to handle everything.”

”Fool,” An Hao bent down and kissed him on the cheek, ”You’re my man! Do we still need to say sorry and thank you to each other?”

”It’s just that making you travel in this harsh winter is really...”

Before Qin Jian could finish, the door of the ward was pushed open from outside, ”Really what? Is it because you’re really worried about your wife?”

”Yan Teacher, how come you are here?” An Hao stood up smiling, ”You’ve learned to joke now.”

”Lightening the mood a bit,” Yan Ye said with a slight smile, pulling an envelope from his pocket, ”You want to start an investigation, right? No need to go so far. I’ve brought you evidence that can be directly used to start an investigation.”
