Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1535: Chapter 1535 Severe Punishments

”Dad, don’t be in such a hurry! You know how I feel about Zhiyuan!” Guan Qing said, as she heartily spoke, ”I saw him looking miserable and lost, so I just took him out for a few drinks... I didn’t expect...”

”I think I’ve been too indulgent with you. I am also to blame! I need to reflect on this! I shouldn’t have let you two meet!” the military chief grew angrier as he spoke, ”How many times have I said? He’s a married man, and you need to control your feelings! What did you promise me? I... am about to be angered to death by you.”

Having said that, the military chief hung up the phone with a snap.

”Dad... Dad!” Guan Qing, frowning, hung up the phone and realized that her father was unwilling to intervene at this time.

Now, Hen Zhiyuan was really in trouble.

Her father wouldn’t say a word, intending to watch as the soldier he meticulously trained ruined himself.

Guan Qing sighed deeply, unsure if her actions last night were out of love or harm.

An Hao had submitted all the evidence of Hen Zhiyuan’s marital infidelity, and the disciplinary committee promised that they would deal severely with him—the issue was too serious.

Overnight, it had caused a storm across the city.

The entire army group was aware of what Hen Zhiyuan had done, and the disciplinary committee promised to report the matter truthfully to the central government to see what action the military commission would decide on.

Once it was reported, Hen Zhiyuan’s military career would be over.

But what An Hao wanted was more than just that.

During the earthquake, he deliberately let go, causing Qin Jian to fall into a crevice, and despite Tian Niu’s heroic efforts to save him, he even kicked Tian Niu away.

This was already a criminal offense.

She couldn’t allow a criminal to escape justice.

That day, her submitted application and evidence were transferred to the security section, which decided to file a case for investigation. Once confirmed, they would immediately apply to the prosecutor’s office for an arrest, and also bring a lawsuit in a military court.

Due to the special nature of the case, the upper management paid particular attention and pushed for quick action on the matter. A week later, the leadership’s handling opinions were delivered.

They required Hen Zhiyuan to be transferred locally.

Simply put, Hen Zhiyuan was discharged from the military because of the affair.

This was expected by everyone.

When this decision was made, An Hao also breathed a sigh of relief; she invited everyone who had helped her to a meal as a way of thanking them on behalf of her family.

What followed was waiting for the security section to conclude their investigation. An Hao looked forward to seeing Hen Zhiyuan tried in a military court.

At night, the people in the hospital room had left.

An Hao took a shower and came out refreshed.

Qin Jian leaned against the headboard, reading a military magazine, and looked up to see An Hao sitting beside him, engrossed in peeling a bright red apple.

Soft light poured down from above, casting a hazy glow over her graceful figure.

Qin Jian felt a stir of emotion and moved closer to quickly kiss her on the cheek.

”Ah...” An Hao was startled by the sudden kiss, the knife slipped nearly cutting her hand, ”What are you doing? You scared me!”

”What are you thinking about? You seemed so focused?” Qin Jian asked.

”Guan Qing,” An Hao spoke softly, ”Because of Hen Zhiyuan, I looked into Guan Qing’s background. It turns out she’s the mother of my classmate Guan Kexin. It’s just unbelievable.”

”Hmm. Is there a problem with that?”
