Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1168: Chapter 1168: Trampling on a Young Girl’s Heart

”I don’t understand, I can’t figure it out,” Ruan Fangfang’s hands trembled as she held the paper, ”I was studying so well, why do they want to expel me? He didn’t promise me that before.”

Ji Chuan looked at Ruan Fangfang with cold eyes: ”I don’t care about any agreement you had with the dean before, but the decision has been made. His intention is for you to not have to intern anymore, and to leave now.”

”I don’t want to go. Please, I beg you, help me, Director, I don’t want to go, I want to stay in General Surgery,” Ruan Fangfang pleaded desperately, gripping Ji Chuan’s hand.

Ji Chuan frowned and withdrew his hand: ”It’s not something that I can help you with just because I want to. Throughout your studies, I’ve always given you chances, consistently urging you to advance, but what is the result you’ve given me?”

Ruan Fangfang looked down, and her tears began to drop continuously.

”Leave, you’re not suitable to be here.” Ji Chuan’s simple words were like a sharp blade, piercing straight into Ruan Fangfang’s heart.

”Director Ji,” Ruan Fangfang wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and looked up at Ji Chuan, ”I want to see what comments you’ve written for me.”

”The same as theirs. It might even be sharper, are you sure you can handle it if I say it out loud?” Ji Chuan glanced at her and spoke indifferently.

In that instant, Ruan Fangfang felt a massive blow to her spirits.

Suddenly, she felt all her previous thoughts were just wishful thinking.

At that moment, her face was extremely unsightly, overwhelmed by an unprecedented sense of humiliation.

”So you also hope that I leave, right?”

Ji Chuan did not answer her directly, but his icy demeanor had already made the point clear: ”General Surgery will only keep those who should stay.”

”So among all these people, you’re also one who stabbed me in the back, right?” Ruan Fangfang looked at him, tears falling continuously like beads off a broken string.

”If I tell you it’s true, do you plan to strike back at me later?” Ji Chuan looked up at her.

Ruan Fangfang stood up abruptly, saying angrily, ”I will sever all my fond thoughts of you, it’s you who trampled on my young heart.”

”I don’t care about what you think, my duty is to produce qualified doctors, excellent doctors, and to make them stay,” Ji Chuan said, then gestured to Ruan Fangfang, ”You can leave now.”

Ruan Fangfang left the office in tears, went back to the doctors’ break room, packed up her stuff, and walked out.

Everyone in the department watched her, not a single person came up to ask a question or offer a word of comfort.

And so, Ruan Fangfang left, holding her belongings, feeling deserted.

An Hao came out of the patient room, passed by her, and seeing her crying as she left, An Hao felt somewhat puzzled.

Just as she was about to return to the break room to ask others what had happened, she turned around and encountered Ji Chuan, who had just come out of the director’s office.

”Director, what’s going on?” An Hao asked curiously.

Ji Chuan smiled at her, ”All I can tell you is that you’ve found yourself a good husband.”

”Qin Jian? Did he do it?”

”Ask him about the details when you get back,” Ji Chuan threw her a word, ”Don’t be so happy that you neglect your work.”

Ruan Fangfang got home, threw herself on the bed, and cried her heart out.

Ma Mei heard about the incident at the hospital.

She was supposed to have a surgery in the afternoon, but she delegated it to someone else and hastily rode her bicycle back to the compound.
