Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1161: Chapter 1161: Seeking Justice

”Yes, we also agree with the chief of staff’s wife’s opinion. Kick her out; such a person doesn’t belong in our military compound.” The families were furious upon hearing this.

Ma Mei was out of options.

Hen Zhiyuan saw that he had to speak up.

So he stood up, ”Sisters, sisters-in-law. May I say a few words? Ruan Fangfang is indeed at fault, but we can’t deny her a chance to reform, right? Her behavior has been terrible, but when we return home, Ma Mei and I will educate her properly.”

”Do you hear how many wrongs she has done? Can you still educate her?” Zhang Lanxiang disliked Ruan Fangfang not one bit.

Dealing with such a scheming person was exhausting to her.

”Look at what you’re saying, sister. Even convicts get a chance to be educated and start over. Isn’t it true? Everyone agrees, right? Even if not for her, do it as a favor for me. I’m asking you all.”

Now that he had put it that way, who could refuse to give face to the deputy regimental commander?

Zhang Lanxiang sighed, pointing at Hen Zhiyuan, ”Little Hen, your auntie is telling you. Keep your niece in check. We cannot have such filthy incidents in our families’ compound anymore. If anything happens to An Hao, I will deem it your fault.”

”Alright, alright, whatever you say, sister,” Hen Zhiyuan quickly conceded.

”Then it’s settled.” Zhang Lanxiang turned her head to look at An Hao, ”Let her apologize to you, okay? Let the rest go.”

”I’ll listen to you, sister.” An Hao never appeared unreasonable in front of everyone.

This issue couldn’t be resolved today in front of everyone, but it had to be addressed later; she remembered every detail for them.

”Go ahead and apologize now,” Zhang Lanxiang said.

The family of three from the He household apologized to An Hao.

”Sister-in-law, calm down. Don’t be like her. You’ve already hit her, so many people have scolded her too. Just give her a chance to live, she’s still young after all,” Hen Zhiyuan said to An Hao.

”Fine. Since you’ve said so much, I have no choice but to forgive her. Wouldn’t want people to think I drove her to a dead end?” An Hao said with a smile, subtly addressing the flaws in Hen Zhiyuan’s plea.

Hen Zhiyuan gave an awkward smile.

His opinion of An Hao deepened; indeed, Qin Jian’s woman was no easy mark.

The apologies were hardly finished when Qin Jian came upstairs carrying stuff.

Seeing so many people at the door, he knew something had happened. He frowned and stepped up to ask An Hao, ”What’s wrong? Did someone bully you?”

”It’s fine now,” An Hao smiled and replied, ”I did face some bullying just now, but thanks to Lanxiang and the sisters from our neighbors, I’ve had my justice. You don’t need to worry.”

”Thank you,” Qin Jian turned to the people in the staircase, ”In the future, our family will also be living here, so I ask all the sisters to kindly look out for us.”

With the future regimental commander speaking out, how could the families not listen? After all, their husbands held lower military ranks and positions than Qin Jian.

”Sure, sure, don’t worry about it.”

The matter was resolved, and Zhang Lanxiang told everyone to disperse.

”Sister, we haven’t seen each other for a long time. Come on in and let’s sit for a while,” An Hao invited Zhang Lanxiang inside.

”Sure. I was thinking the same,” Zhang Lanxiang readily agreed.
