Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1166: Chapter 1166: Can’t Hold It Anymore

Qin Jian fell silent for two seconds before deciding to recount the events that had occurred yesterday and prior to the hospital director.

After listening, the director drew in a sharp breath.

It seemed that Hen Zhiyuan’s little niece was indeed no walk in the park.

”A person of such poor character, lacking responsibility and compassion during their internship, I believe, isn’t suitable to stay at PLA Affiliated Hospital,” Qin Jian stated.

This issue suddenly involved two interns from the hospital.

Moreover, both interns came from families with significant backgrounds.

The director had previously promised Hen Zhiyuan to allow Ruan Fangfang to continue her internship at the hospital all the way until summer.

At that time, a comprehensive evaluation of Ruan Fangfang would be conducted, and the decision would be based on the results of that evaluation.

However, there was still some time before summer, and now An Hao’s family had come knocking, demanding Ruan Fangfang’s expulsion.

This truly put the director in a difficult position.

”Director?” Seeing him lost in thought, Qin Jian brought his attention back.

”Our hospital’s standard for evaluating interns is based on their internship performance and evaluation results,” the director said. ”If such an incident has occurred, I think you should perhaps involve the local police to resolve it.”

”This is a military hospital.” Qin Jian tapped his fingers on the desk, his expression one of indignation as he emphasized a fact that simply existed, ”If a student from a military academy were involved in such an incident, could she still remain here to intern?”

Forget about interning; even disciplinary sanctions would be in order.

For such abhorrent behavior as hiring someone to harm another, if tangible evidence could be captured, it would already be a violation of the law.

”This...”

While the director was still hesitating, he heard Qin Jian say, ”If this issue is something the director can’t resolve, I’m afraid I’ll have no choice but to report the matter to the General Logistics Department.”

”No, no, no. It’s not good to bother the General Logistics Department with such a trivial matter,” the director said.

”Then what is the decision?” Qin Jian asked.

”Let me think about it, I’ll definitely give you a satisfactory answer.”

No sooner had the words fallen from his mouth than the door banged open, and Ji Chuan, the head of General Surgery, stormed in, fuming with anger.

He slapped down the documents he was holding in front of the director, exclaiming, ”I demand that the intern Ruan Fangfang be removed from our General Surgery department. If she continues like this, I’m truly going to lose it.”

”What now?” the director asked Ji Chuan with a somewhat embarrassed look. ”Didn’t you see I have a guest here?”

”It’s no bother, he’s come at the right time,” Qin Jian said, his lips curling into a faint smile.

”Sorry,” Ji Chuan said to the director, ”Do you know what kind of person I am? I absolutely cannot tolerate such lazy, sloppy conduct. Especially since medicine requires precision and allows no room for error or negligence.”

”I understand, I understand, just get to the point,” the director, somewhat overwhelmed by their insistence, implored.

”During the sorting of medical records, she actually mixed up the conditions of two patients,” Ji Chuan said angrily, flipping the file open to the relevant page. ”How careless does one have to be to make such a mistake? Director, she is supposed to be a surgeon, meant to operate in the future. Doing something like this, isn’t that making a mockery of the patients’ lives?”

The director sighed deeply, ”It really is a bit too much.”

He could no longer protect Hen Zhiyuan’s niece.

The multiple opportunities originally given to her had all been squandered, and now, so many people were coming forward to complain about her.

There was no other way; he had to make a decision now.
