Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 186: Chapter 185: The Whole Family Mobilizes

Song Yueqin had a fever all night long, and though it subsided the next day, her cold was still severe.

Under these circumstances, she wouldn’t be able to attend school for another two or three days, and her grades were already poor, so this wasn’t doing her any favors.

Thinking of An Hao’s face made her so angry she began to sob.

”Stop crying, if you can’t study at school, just study at home! The environment is comfortable and warm,” Zhang Juyun said.

As they brought up the subject, Song Yueqin remembered all her textbooks had been thoroughly torn to pieces by An Hao.

”Mom, I don’t have a single textbook left, An Hao ripped them all up...”

”What?” Zhang Juyun’s brows knitted into a tight frown, ”What on earth happened with you two yesterday? Tell me about it, quick.

Song Yueqin retold the events that had happened at school yesterday, halfway through her story, Zhang Juyun was fuming with rage.

”I didn’t give birth to you, Song Yueqin, just so you could be bullied like this. You’ve been picked on by that damned girl An Hao at school!”

”Mom, I can’t beat her,” she said furiously. ”It’s terrifying when she gets crazy, as if she loses all her reason.”

”You wait, I’ll go get justice for you,” Zhang Juyun, unable to stand her daughter being upset, decided to confront An Hao.

”Mom, I just worry that you might end up being beaten by that An Hao wild girl!”

”If she dares to hit me, it’s utterly disrespectful. After all, I am her elder,” Zhang Juyun said angrily.

”That’s right, Mom, I’m counting on you completely!” Song Yueqin said grievously.

............

When An Hao came home from school in the afternoon, backpack in tow, she saw from afar a crowd of people gathered at her house’s entrance.

As she got closer, she saw Zhang Juyun at the center of the crowd, talking animatedly about something.

Since An Hao had just fought with Song Yueqin yesterday, she had a good idea why Zhang Juyun was there.

She feared their reasons for being there were not good.

Indeed, Zhang Juyun’s sharp eyes spotted An Hao in the crowd,

rushed over and grabbed her hand, pinching it like a vise against An Hao’s body.

As she pinched, she shouted, ”An Hao, how did my daughter, Song Yueqin, ever wrong you, that you pushed her into a mud pit and beat her up like that! Covered in mud and water! Her clothes are ruined! Do you know how much those clothes cost? You have to pay up today, for the clothes, books, and even my Yueqin’s medical expenses! You’ll pay for everything!”

”Exactly, exactly! How could you bully someone like that!”

”If you ask me, just hitting her is enough! Slap her face, show her what’s what!”

The group of women speaking up were all Song Yueqin’s aunts and relatives.

Zhang Juyun pinched, and An Hao tried to dodge, surrounded by a crowd that wouldn’t let her escape.

Bullying someone with the whole family in on it, eh? Since you aren’t acting your age, I see no reason to back down!

Since she was already infamous for being fierce, she might as well go all out with the ruckus!

While Zhang Juyun was pinching An Hao, she also reached out her hand. If it was just pinching, then let’s pinch!

An Hao targeted Zhang Juyun’s inner thigh and pinched viciously.

This spot was tender and hidden!

”Ouch! Oh my ancestors! That hurts!” She cried out in pain, releasing An Hao, who took the chance to run home, slamming the door shut, and bolting it with a wooden latch.

The group of irritated women shouted at An’s house, ”Come out here! If not, we’ll smash down your door!”

The neighbors, whipped up into a commotion, converged upon An Hao’s doorstep.

Old Granny Li from next door couldn’t stand it anymore and said to her husband, ”Do you see this? Having someone bullied like that? Go fetch the village chief... Hurry up, don’t let them wrong that young girl An Hao...”
