Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 183: Chapter 182 Help from Classmates

”Just tell your side, I can judge for myself,” Principal Lin said.

”Song Yueqin intentionally bumped into me, knocking down my books and breakfast, and she stepped on my injured foot on purpose,” An Hao said, lifting her foot that had been hurt for Principal Lin to see, ”The footprint is still there.”

Principal Lin’s gaze shifted to An Hao’s foot, and indeed, there was a footprint on it.

Because it was cloudy in the afternoon, the ground was all muddy, and the mud stuck to the bottom of the shoes, leaving a clear imprint on An Hao’s foot.

Moreover, after two class periods, the mud had dried up, making the pattern very noticeable.

Students in the class all wore cloth shoes made at home, with soles made of twine and starched canvas woven into many layers. They had no distinct patterns.

But Song Yueqin was wearing leather shoes, and the pattern of the sole was different from everyone else’s and was very clear.

An Hao’s shoes were a pair of plain light blue cloth shoes, and the footprint from the dry mud was very clear.

Song Yueqin seemed to realize this and involuntarily withdrew her foot a bit.

”And then... Song Yueqin went to complain to the head teacher, who punished me severely without asking questions... and now they want to expel me! Principal, this isn’t a joke. I’m planning to apply to Medical University in the future. Any stain on my record...”

”Don’t listen to her nonsense. This girl is quite domineering,” Shi Jianjun said, touching his aching head and grimacing, ”She even hit me just now. With this attitude... tell me... Principal, you can’t indulge her. Otherwise, students will dare to hit teachers in the future.”

”Principal, An Hao was just desperate. She isn’t usually like this. Ask around if you don’t believe me,” Shen Zhihua, afraid that An Hao might get expelled, quickly spoke up in her defense.

Although the students didn’t like An Hao’s temperament, her grades were good, and whenever others wanted to discuss problems, they would seek out An Hao.

She never once refused to help someone out, especially Li Guizhi, who had benefited the most.

Li Guizhi was unclear about why An Hao was being punished, but now that she heard the whole story and saw An Hao facing the risk of expulsion, she couldn’t hold back any longer.

So, she spoke up for An Hao, ”Principal, no matter what they say about the fight with Song Yueqin, isn’t the punishment from the head teacher too severe?”

”What do you know?” Shi Jianjun glared at Liu Guizhi and scolded her in a low voice, ”An Hao even dared to hit a teacher, do you realize how serious that is?”

”What don’t I understand? Director, you made a decision without inquiring into the details, and it might jeopardize someone’s future. Haven’t you heard? Where there is oppression, there is resistance,” Liu Guizhi was not afraid of him.

”Enough from you. You are adding fuel to the fire!”

”Look at you, always quick to label people. Can’t you let others speak?” Liu Guizhi glared back at the head teacher.

Seeing Shen Zhihua and Liu Guizhi speaking up for her, An Hao sent them a grateful look.

Seeing Principal Lin still pondering, An Hao suddenly remembered the incident when she enrolled and said without hesitation, ”Director Shi, I know you dislike me. Wasn’t it your nephew who tried to take my place at this school, and I caught you red-handed? So, you’re taking revenge on me...”

”You... what nonsense are you spouting!!” Shi Jianjun, seeing the change in Principal Lin’s expression, quickly tried to silence An Hao, ”Don’t talk recklessly, you could harm others with your words!”

”Harm? Who’s harming whom?” An Hao’s cold stare fixed on him as she said word by word, ”No need to fear a knock on the door if you haven’t done anything wrong! I almost got replaced; who knows if the same thing hasn’t happened to others at our school... I suggest Principal Lin conduct a thorough investigation...”
