Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 177: Chapter 176 Deliberately Looking for Trouble

Seeing Liu Guizhi do well on the test, An Hao was also happy for her, ”Don’t thank me, this is the result of your diligent study.”

Liu Guizhi, affirmed by An Hao, felt even happier, ”An Hao, would you continue explaining problems to me in the future? I need your help.”

”Of course, we’re classmates after all, helping each other out is only right. Congratulations, Guizhi, I hope you do even better next time.” An Hao offered her encouragement timely.

”Mmm!” Liu Guizhi nodded vigorously.

The ordinary conversation between An Hao and Liu Guizhi sounded differently in Song Yueqin’s ears, and she thought An Hao was deliberately trying to annoy her.

Consequently, her gaze towards An Hao grew even more unfriendly.

At that moment, Teacher Wei had almost finished distributing the test papers and only two were left in his hands.

”These two test papers in my hands belong to Shen Zhihua and An Hao. Both papers are perfect with neat handwriting and clear problem-solving processes. I won’t be handing these out; instead, they will be posted on the lectern as examples for everyone to see after class.”

After Teacher Wei had spoken, the classroom instantly became abuzz.

”An Hao is so amazing, always getting the highest score.”

”Who’s to say otherwise? Not just in math, she excels in other subjects too, and I see her having no trouble at all with the college entrance exams.”

”The class president’s grades are quite impressive too. These two are like a match made in heaven.”

Hearing this, Song Yueqin felt very unpleasant.

Aside from academic performance, in what way was she not better than An Hao?

”Alright now, quiet down, we’ll start discussing the problems.”

With a single sentence from Teacher Wei, the students’ attentions were redirected back to the class.

Throughout the entire class, whatever Teacher Wei lectured about, Song Yueqin did not absorb. His ears and eyes were already blinded by jealousy and anger.

It was not until the bell rang for the end of class that she snapped back to reality. When she looked over at An Hao, she saw her holding a textbook and walking outside.

An Hao, holding the exercise book she had just bought, caught up to ask Teacher Wei about a problem.

”Teacher Wei, I think there’s a problem with this exercise in the book... I feel like it’s incorrect.”

Teacher Wei took the book and immediately confirmed An Hao’s suspicion, ”You’re right. I came across this question last night while preparing for class, and indeed, it’s an error.”

”Oh, that’s good.”

”An Hao, your grades are very good, getting into a key university shouldn’t be a problem, just keep working hard in the remaining time,” Teacher Wei encouraged her.

”I understand, Teacher Wei, thank you.”

Song Yueqin had been listening to An Hao’s conversation with the teacher the whole time until the teacher left. An Hao, holding her book, stood under the eaves outside the classroom.

Song Yueqin watched her take two cold pancakes out of her pocket and then start munching on them.

”Pauper! Looking all pathetic!” Song Yueqin muttered under her breath and walked towards An Hao.

An Hao, having rushed out in the morning without having breakfast, felt it was somewhat inappropriate to eat in the classroom while everyone was studying, so she stood under the eaves munching on her pancake.

While eating, she suddenly felt her body hit hard by someone, followed by a sharp pain in her ankle.

She nearly lost her balance and almost fell over, quickly leaning against the wall for support; however, the exercise book under her arm and the pancake in her hand both fell into the mud in front of her.

And the reason she did not fall? It was actually Song Yueqin stepping on her injured foot.

An Hao looked back in anger, met by Song Yueqin’s sneering face.
