Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 382: Oz And Zygozʼs Actions

The three winged races immediately stood up and wiped the blood from their mouths, but Zachiel then moved in front of the barrier before touching it. ”What do you guys think of this barrier? The counterattack just now was really strong, but it seems like itʼs not the full power of this barrier, and we might die if we suffer a counterattack stronger than just now.”

”Our higher-ups said that the two Ursulas are ancient demons, and they have been around since the time of the first demon emperor, so I think this barrier is also an ancient barrier.” Yofil then turned to Chiel. ”What do you think we should do now? Should we report this matter to our higher-ups? That way, they can send stronger angels; otherwise, we will never be able to find the white Amaris.”

Chiel rejected Yofilʼs idea by shaking her head. ”If this barrier is truly an ancient one, then none of us can destroy it, and only our leader can do it. Unfortunately, Lady Daniella told me that he is preparing something for our next invasion, and he is closing himself in on his private floor, so we canʼt call him for now.”

”We should leave this place now, or weʼll be too late if Ursula suddenly returns, and weʼll die in their hands.” The three-winged race immediately turned to Leon with a frown. ”Even if the six of us join forces to attack them, we still wonʼt be able to deal with ancient demons like them, especially since their rank should already be at Empress rank.”

”Do you need to think about that, Leon?”

The six of them immediately turned to Zygoz, who suddenly appeared in the distance. Leon, Tauri, and Avros were completely shocked by his arrival, and they were thinking the same thing in their hearts. ʼCrap! How did this old man manage to find us? Moreover, these winged race members are with us now, so we wonʼt be able to cover everything anymore.ʼ

Chiel, Zachiel, and Yofil also looked shocked by Zygozʼs sudden appearance. Even so, they didnʼt seem to be afraid of his presence, and they immediately prepared the demon-suppressing tools that their higher-ups had given them earlier.

Zygoz smiled faintly at their reaction, and he immediately sealed the entire area of the place so they would not be able to escape. ”I have long suspected that you three, along with the Amaris Twins, have betrayed us, but I have never had any evidence of your betrayal towards us. However, everything is clear now, so I will capture you, and the other demons will witness your trial.”

The three demon rulers panicked hearing that, but they immediately took out their respective weapons, especially since Zygoz had already sealed the place, so they had no other choice but to fight him. Tauri pulled out his gigantic axe, Avros pulled out his long bow, and Leon wore lion fists on both fists.

The three winged racers were also immediately prepared to fight Zygoz, and Zachiel then said to him. ”Old Demon, you are alone, and there are six of us now. Moreover, we have strong light power, so you will never win against us, and we will capture you before handing you over to our leader.”

”Hahaha.” Zygoz laughed at Zachielʼs words. ”What an ignorant brat! Even your Throne wouldnʼt dare say such a thing to me, yet a low-ranking bird like you dares to threaten me. Since you are so confident in your abilities, you can try to stop me.”

”Zachiel!” Yofil and Chiel exclaimed as their friend suddenly floated into the air by himself, but they didnʼt see Zygoz do anything to him.

”Argh!” Zachiel screamed in pain as he felt something crush his body. ”Attack him now!”

Yofil and Chiel exchanged glances for a moment before moving towards Zygoz, and they immediately used their light power to attack him. In addition, they intend to use their demon-suppressing tools on him.

Unfortunately, Zygoz was an old demon whose experience and power were on par with the first demon emperor, so he could easily see through their plans. He immediately used the same ability he used on Zachiel before, causing both of them to float in the air, rendering them unable to move their bodies.

ʼDamn it! This old demon is really strong!ʼ Yofil and Chiel groaned in their hearts as they struggled to escape from Zygozʼs ability.

Zygoz then sucked the demon-suppressing tools towards him, and he immediately grabbed them before observing them. ”Oh? They have prepared themselves well for their next invasion, and these tools are much better than the ones they used in the past. Unfortunately, they only sent weak birds like you three, and I could use them to find a countermeasure to the effects.”

Seeing their comrades in dire straits, the three demon rulers moved together to attack Zygoz. Tauri leaped high into the air as he swung his huge axe at him, and Leon immediately dashed towards him to attack him with his fists. On the other hand, Avros immediately took out several large arrows and fired them at him, but he responded to their attacks with a faint smile.

Zygoz made a gesture with his hand, and two portals shot towards Leon and Tauri, sending them to another area. Their attacks were in vain, as they only hit the air. He easily caught Avrosʼs arrows and shot them back at him, catching him unprepared for the counterattack, and they pierced through his body directly. ”Argh!”

ʼDamn it!ʼ Leon and Tauri cursed, then moved to attack Zygoz once more.

Leon used his ability to increase his speed, which increased his speed several times, and he immediately punched Zygoz repeatedly.

Meanwhile, Tauri utilized his ability to enhance his brute strength, which resulted in a decrease in his previously slow speed. However, his attack power increased significantly. In addition, he did something useless by using his earth power, especially since Zygoz himself was an earth power possessor.

Tauri was actually aware of it, but he deliberately used it to distract and hinder Zygozʼs movements, and he hoped that Leon would attack him if he did that.

While watching his two comrades attack Zygoz, Avros did not remain silent, and he struggled to use his bow. This time, he did not use many arrows; he only used one arrow, which was made of a special material.

*Swoosh*

Zygoz immediately grabbed Avrosʼs arrow, and he also dodged all of Leonʼs punches, causing him to repeatedly attack the air around them. ”You young demons are really rash and careless, you know?”

After he said that, Zygoz looked at Tauri, who was already near them, so he immediately shot Avrosʼs arrow at him. However, he didnʼt aim it at his vital point, but rather at his giant axe.

”Shit!” Tauri tried to dodge the arrow, but it quickly penetrated the handle of his axe, breaking it into two pieces before penetrating into his right shoulder. ”Argh!”

*Bam*

Tauri instantly fell to the ground on his back after he lost his balance, and Leon took advantage of that to launch his strongest punch at Zygoz. Unfortunately, the old demon immediately grabbed both of his hands and crushed his weapons, as well as his bones.

*Bam*

”Guah!” Leon spurted blood from his mouth as Zygoz slammed him to the ground very hard, and his expression also looked painful from the injuries on both of his fists. ”Fuck you, old man!”

”Haha.” Zygoz laughed before stomping on Leonʼs chest. ”You three are my juniors, remember? As an old man, I must teach traitors like you guys a lesson, right?”

”I think youʼve toyed with them enough.”

The voice made the three demon rulers freeze, and their bodies trembled violently as they saw Oz land in the distance. The three winged race members also looked shocked by the appearance of the second demon lord, causing their faces to turn deathly pale, and cold sweat quickly drenched their bodies, especially since no one of them would be able to escape from him. ʼHow...

how could he be in this place now? Didnʼt... didnʼt he disappear for so long?ʼ

Oz looked at the three demon rulers with a disappointed look, but then he sighed heavily before speaking to them. ”Back then, my predecessor chose your ancestors as his aides, and they fought bravely by his side to repel all enemies who tried to take over our realm.

Thatʼs why I appointed you guys as their successors after they disappeared, but I never expected that the three of you would betray my trust by plotting with those birds, and your actions have truly disappointed me.

Unfortunately, I didnʼt have any proof of that before, so I decided to disappear and disguise myself as Zygoz for the past years, and Iʼve been closely monitoring your movements during this time.”

After hearing that, Avros, Leon, and Tauri became even more frightened of Oz. ʼShit! Heʼll definitely kill us!ʼ

”However, Iʼve got all the evidence, so you guys have to bear the consequences of your decision to plot with them.” Oz then glanced at Chiel, Zachiel, and Yofil before continuing to speak to the three demon rulers. ”I can give you powers to make you worthy of being my aides, so I also have the ability to revoke your powers, and you will return to being ordinary demons.”

”No... No... No...” Avros, Tauri, and Leon panicked after hearing that, and they tried to plead with Oz. ”Lord! Please! Donʼt take our power away!

We donʼt—Argh!”

Oz didnʼt listen to their pleas at all, and he immediately absorbed the power of the three demon rulers, causing their bodies to weaken rapidly as their demon auras also diminished rapidly. Soon, the three of them had returned to their demon beast form: a bull, a lion, and a horse.

Zygoz shook his head before shifting his feet away from Leonʼs body. ”Unlike the other demon rulers, such as Virgil and others, who attained their current rank through their own hard work, these three were able to become demon rulers because of the power you bestowed upon them, and I have also taught them as best as possible so that they can be comparable to their predecessors.

Unfortunately, their power blinded their eyes and hearts, and they also became greedy.”

”Haha.” Oz laughed and moved to Zygozʼs side before patting his shoulder. ”You donʼt have to blame yourself, old man. Moreover, they were too young and had too much ambition, so they made the foolish decision to collude with those birds. However, itʼs all over now, and they wonʼt be able to run rampant like before.

Even so, our task is not yet finished, especially since they still want to rule our realm. Therefore, we must organize everything and prepare to ward off their attacks, and we will destroy them once and for all if they dare to try to invade our realm again.”

Zygoz nodded in agreement before looking up at the sky. ”Why are you still hiding there, Kid? Donʼt you want to do something to these three birds?”

”Old Man, your actions earlier scared me quite a bit, so I decided to hide from you.” Zygozʼs lips twitched at that, especially since Feltia clearly didnʼt seem afraid of him. ”Anyway, the way you used your portal manipulation ability really surprised me, and I didnʼt expect you to be able to use it in such a way.”

”Haha.” Zygoz laughed and waved his hand, causing quite a few portals to appear around them. ”As you can see, these portals are connected to each other, whether short-range or long-range. However, all abilities have their drawbacks, and it takes quite a lot of demon power to use this ability on a large scale, so I usually use it on a small scale like I did before.”

Feltia nodded in understanding as she landed beside Zygoz, and she immediately tried to mimic his portal manipulation ability, but she was shocked by the notification that appeared next.

[Ding]

[The host is unable to mimic Zygozʼs portal manipulation ability.]

ʼWhat the hell? Mei, why canʼt I mimic his portal manipulation ability?ʼ

[Iʼm sorry, master. I donʼt have a definite answer for that, and his portal manipulation ability is probably a special ability that only belongs to him, so you canʼt mimic it.]

Feltia let out a sigh of disappointment, especially since he was eager to acquire Zygozʼs portal manipulation ability, which he found interesting. ʼForget it; I will look for other more useful abilities in the future. Anyway, can I replace the abilities that Iʼve mimicked before with the new one, Mei?ʼ

[I canʼt say for sure, so you can try it yourself once the slots are full, master.]

Feltia then looked at Zygoz, who immediately brought the three members of the winged race to him, causing Zachiel, Yofil, and Chiel to tremble after they saw her strange smile.

Feltia immediately touched their chests in turn and implanted her demon slave mark on their souls, but she didnʼt change their memories at all, especially since she wanted them to feel the suffering of living as her slaves. ”Starting today, the three of you are my slaves, and you guys donʼt bother to commit suicide, especially since itʼs impossible for all of you to do so.”

Their faces became even paler after hearing that, but they were in shock as soon as Oz used his soul manipulation ability. He then merged Chielʼs soul into Feltiaʼs soul, especially since her rank was higher than the other two, and he hoped to get information about their higher-up plans from her memories.

”What do you get from her memories?” Oz immediately asked Feltia.

”Currently, the Throne is shutting himself on his private floor, but none of them know his purpose, so we can only investigate it slowly.” Oz was disappointed with Feltiaʼs answer, especially since such information was completely useless for them. ”When you return to the Tian Realm, tell Moraes and the others that the three demon rulers are alive, but donʼt tell them about Ursula.”

Zachiel, Yofil, and Chiel immediately left the place, especially since they couldnʼt refuse Feltiaʼs order.

After Zygoz gave Feltia those demon-suppressing tools, he and Oz immediately left the Death Valley, taking the former three demon rulers with them.

Meanwhile, Feltia took the orb that Ursula gave her, and she immediately entered the black castle to meet the Amaris Twins.
