Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 369: Disappointment

After he summoned the fourth clone, which he named Zhang Xiaogang, Zhang Xiaolong immediately sent him into the training space, and he immediately asked Mei to activate the comprehension feature so that he could study all the formation arrays that Di Xingjie had given him before.

Meanwhile, Zhang Xiaolong himself began to cultivate in his hiding place, and Mei continued to monitor the movements of the two heavenly foxes, as well as the movements of the heretics.

In the Diyu Realm, specifically in the Death Valley, Ashreth and the others finally reached the deepest area of the place. However, they were disappointed to find Nauvia no longer there, especially after Zhang Xiaolong helped her escape.

”Did you get the wrong information? Why isnʼt my daughter here?” Nadea asked Ashreth in an annoyed tone.

Ashreth shook her head at Nadea. ”My information canʼt be wrong because some demon hunters have checked it thoroughly, and Nauvia controlled all the demons in this place to attack them. However, I donʼt know how she could disappear from this place, and she might have gone to another area by now.”

Unlike them, Kyllia was more interested in the ancient black castle, and she immediately approached it before asking the others. ”Hey, guys, do you think Nauvia entered this castle?”

”I think itʼs impossible.” Ashreth responded to Kyllia by shaking her head, but she also approached the ancient black castle. ”Even our rulers have tried to breach this barrier repeatedly, but they have never succeeded, so I am not sure that Nauvia can get in.”

Nadea also moved towards the black castle before touching the barrier. ”I agree with her, Kyllia. This barrier is too strong, so Iʼm sure my daughter isnʼt inside. However, Iʼm afraid if she dares to go to that place, especially since itʼs the most dangerous place in this sub-realm, and she would face great danger if she really went there.”

”Do you mean the Endless Abyss?”

”Yes.” Nadea nodded to Ashreth and Kyllia. ”My daughter is too stubborn, and she also has a lot of courage, so I think there is a possibility that she will go to that place.” After hearing that, Ashreth and Kylliaʼs expressions turned serious, especially since they themselves did not dare to approach the Endless Death.

If Nauvia really went there, their chances of bringing her back were zero, especially since the ancient demon beast would attack anyone who approached that place, and she would definitely die by its hands.

”Nadea, we-”

”I know.” Nadea interrupted Ashreth with a heavy sigh. ”Regardless, I must go to Endless Death, and I will do anything to save my daughter. She is my only daughter, so I donʼt want her to die at the hands of that ancient demon beast. Anyways, you guys can go back to your respective places, and I will go there by myself.”

Ashreth and Kyllia exchanged frowning glances, but they could understand Nadeaʼs feelings, and they decided to accompany her to the Endless Death.

When they were about to leave the place, a hole suddenly opened in the barrier surrounding the ancient black castle, and a black hand immediately came out from inside it before pulling the three of them into it.

The other demons who came with them were shocked after seeing that, so they moved in front of the ancient black castle and banged on the barrier repeatedly, but it didnʼt give any reaction.

In the end, one of them decided to leave the Death Valley, and she immediately rushed to the tower to report this matter to the Amaris Twins.

”Shit!” Ashreth immediately cursed as soon as she saw the area inside the ancient black castle. ”What the heck is going on? Do you think that black hand belongs to our rulersʼ ancestor?”

”Yes.” Kyllia responded to Ashreth as she looked at the area around them. ”According to history, this ancient black castle was built by one of them, and her corpse is also buried here, so the black hand just now belongs to her.

However, I donʼt understand why it only reacted now, especially since our rulers have tried to breach it many times, but we have never succeeded, and it has never shown any reaction before.”

After she tried to open the exit gate and failed, Nadea then turned to her two friends. ”So what should we do now? We canʼt get out of this place, so we can only go forward. However, Iʼm really worried about my daughter, and it will be too late for me to save her if weʼre trapped here for too long.”

”I can understand your feelings, but we have no other choice, right?” Kyllia then pointed forward. ”For now, we can only move forward to check, and we might find a way out of this place, so it would be better if we moved now.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.”

After that, the three female demons immediately walked to the inner area of the ancient black castle, and all three had already drawn their weapons, especially since no one knew about the mystery of that place.

While Nadea and the two female demons were looking for another way out of the ancient black castle, Nauvia had already sat in front of the youngest demon ruler and explained everything to her, and Angela looked surprised after she told her that it was Zhang Xiaolong who sent her.

”Since you are a siren, I will accept you in my sub-realm, and you can live in peace here.” Nauvia was relieved by Angelaʼs answer. ”Moreover, I know quite a lot about life in the Amaris Twinsʼ tower, and the struggle to maintain their status in that place is very harsh, so it is natural that a young demon like you is uncomfortable living there.”

”Thank you, Ruler Angela.” Nauvia expressed gratitude.

”No need.” Angela then asked Nauvia with a suspicious gaze. ”Do you have any relationship with Zhang Xiaolong?”

”Eh?” Angelaʼs question took Nauvia aback, but she immediately denied it. ”No! Iʼve only met Zhang Xiaolong twice, so I donʼt have any relationship with him. Honestly, I myself donʼt understand his reasons for saving me, but Iʼm really grateful that he did, or I would have gone to endless death to avoid them.”

”Youʼre crazy; do you know that?” Angela said this while shaking her head. ”Even us twelve rulers dare not approach that ancient demon beast, and the black Amaris has suffered heavy injuries from it in the past. If you dare to go to that place, then you will be eaten alive by it.”

”Haha.” Nauvia laughed bitterly before asking Angela. ”Do you have any relationship with him, my lady?”

Angela smiled in response to Nauviaʼs question. ”Iʼve met Zhang Xiaolong three times, and heʼs already come to my sub-realm. Even though we donʼt have such a relationship, Iʼm happy with his presence, especially since he likes my singing so much, and I canʼt wait to see him again.”

ʼIt seems that ruler Angela has been captivated by Zhang Xiaolong. Otherwise, she wouldnʼt say such a thing, especially since she doesnʼt really like non-aquatic demon beasts.ʼ Nauvia silently pondered before posing the question once more. ”Do you know about his true identity?”

”What do you mean by that?” Angela asked with a raised eyebrow.

”Zhang Xiaolong is a human.” Angela abruptly stood up from her seat and stared at Nauvia in shock. ”I donʼt know how this is possible, but he really is a human. However, he is also a demon and a fox beast, and his three forms are real.”

Nauviaʼs explanation further shocked Angela, especially since Zhang Xiaolong never told her about his other identities. ”Explain to me how you could know about it.”

ʼCrap! Apparently, Zhang Xiaolong didnʼt reveal his other identities to ruler Angela, and I shouldnʼt have asked her about that.ʼ Nauvia muttered to herself as she sighed regretfully. ”The first time he came to the Death Valley, he used his white fox form to defeat the demons I controlled, and he had extraordinary light power, which is stronger than Virgilʼs ruler.

He also used his demon form, which was an incubus, and then showed me his human form.”

Angela frowned after hearing all that, but she was also shocked by the fact that Zhang Xiaolong had three forms. However, she didnʼt say anything and immediately disappeared from Nauviaʼs sight, making her feel even more regretful for bringing that up. ”Sigh! I hope he wonʼt be mad at me.”

Angela quickly left her sub-realm and rushed towards the Zygoz sub-realm, but she was shocked when she saw Oz and Virgil flying towards the Amaris Twinʼs sub-realm, so she immediately went over to them.

”How did you suddenly appear in our realm, Lord? Where have you disappeared to all this time?” Oz immediately looked at Angela and explained the truth to her behind his disappearance, and he also told her about his cooperation with Zhang Xiaolong, especially since she had already established contact with him. ”Does that mean you both already know that he is human?”

”Oh?” Oz and Virgil were momentarily taken aback by Angelaʼs question. ”Yes, we already know that he is human, and he came here because Janette brought him. Moreover, he is both an incubus and a fox beast, but his beast form is not a demon beast, and he combines his demon and beast forms to meet you.”

”I see.” Angela looked disappointed after confirming the truth of Zhang Xiaolongʼs three identities.

Virgil immediately spoke to Angela. ”I understand how you feel, but you shouldnʼt be so disappointed, and Iʼm sure he had no intention of deceiving you. Perhaps he was afraid that you would be hostile to him if you found out that he was a human, so he hasnʼt told you the truth.

Moreover, he has helped us in many ways, and he is our only hope to restore peace in our realm, so I hope you wonʼt be hostile to him after learning everything.”

”Am I that petty, Sister Virgil?” Angela asked with a shake of her head. ”I wonʼt be hostile towards him just because heʼs a human, but Iʼm disappointed that he didnʼt tell me the truth from the start, especially since he already knew that I was on your side.”

”Haha.” Instead, Oz suddenly laughed and then rubbed Angelaʼs head. ”Do you like him that much, little girl? You donʼt need to lie to me, because Iʼve known you since you were little. Thatʼs why I know your feelings well enough, and you wouldnʼt be this disappointed if you didnʼt like him.”

Angela did not deny Ozʼs question. ”Yes! I like Zhang Xiaolong, and I want to continue meeting him, especially since he is the second person who likes my singing besides you.”

”I see.” Oz nodded in understanding before speaking to Angela again. ”I understand your disappointment, but he didnʼt do that to deceive you. Although he has much better escape abilities than you, he is still too weak now, and those traitors are also continuously monitoring the situation in our realm, so he has to act very carefully in this realm.

Anyway, it would be better if the two of you had a heart-to-heart conversation if he came to your sub-realm again, and Iʼm sure that you would be able to understand his reasons.”

”All right.” Angela nodded to Oz before asking. ”Do you two want to go to the Amaris Twinʼs sub-realm?”

”Yes.” Oz then told Angela. ”Kinos disappeared without a trace, and we canʼt find him anywhere. Moreover, that kid told me that the black Amaris was so exhausted, like she had used her demon power excessively, so we suspect that she did something to him. Unfortunately, that kid couldnʼt find him in her tower, and he thought that he was hidden in the endless death, so we thought to go there to check.”

Angela was shocked again after hearing that. ”Does that mean Zhang Xiaolong is in the Amaris Twinʼs tower?”

”Yes and no.” Angela was confused by Ozʼs answer. ”That kidʼs real name is Zhang Fei, and Zhang Xiaolong is one of his clones. In addition, he still has one more clone named Feltia, a succubus. He uses her to infiltrate their tower, so he can monitor their every move.”

”Zhang Fei, huh?” Angela muttered softly, her expression growing increasingly disappointed, particularly since he had used his clone to approach her. ”I will join you two in going to the Endless Death.”

Oz nodded in agreement with Angelaʼs wishes, and the three of them immediately entered the Amaris Twinʼs sub-realm before rushing towards the endless death in the black Amarisʼs dark area.

.

.

.

With their high speed, the three of them had arrived above the endless death, and they observed the dark abyss from the sky. However, they could not sense Kinosʼs demon aura in that place, including Oz.

”Lord, it seems that Kinos is not in this place, and the black Amaris might have hidden him somewhere else.” Angela said this as she turned to face Oz.

Oz nodded and turned to Virgil. ”Try using your light power to check inside.”

”Are you sure about that?” Virgil doubtfully asked. ”We all know that the ancient demon beast has existed since your predecessorʼs time, and its demon rank should have reached Emperor rank like you and Zygoz, so it might attack us if I do that.”

”Hehe.” Oz chuckled at that. ”Even if its demon power has reached the Emperor Rank, it still wonʼt be able to fight me, so you can do it now, and weʼll leave right away if we canʼt find Kinos here.”

”All right.” Virgil then stretched her right hand forward with her palm facing down, and countless light balls immediately rained down on the area, causing the dark abyss to become extremely bright.

However, they suddenly felt a strong pressure from within the dark abyss, and black flames gushed out of it. Even so, it was no problem for Oz, who immediately countered it with his demonic magic, so the flames quickly disappeared.

*Roar*

An angry roar suddenly sounded from within the dark abyss, and the ancient demon beast immediately flew out from it. Oz immediately protected the two female demon rulers, especially since its demon rank had reached the Emperor rank.
