Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 364: Natural Races

Xing Mei decided to leave the Chu Clan and go to the Heavenly Sword Sect. After all, she was not a foolish woman, and she was fully aware that she would never be able to win against Zhang Xiaolong, especially with Boitata and all the clans on his side.

[Master, I thought you would do something to that woman, especially since she seemed to want to kill you.]

”Hmm?” Zhang Xiaolong raised his eyebrows at that. ”Do you really think Iʼd do that to her, Mei? That woman is quite attractive, but I donʼt have that kind of interest in her.”

[Haha! Youʼve already taken a few slaves, and now youʼre holding a few prisoners. Moreover, you also did it with your mother, so I thought you would take her as your servant or something else.]

”Didnʼt you already know the reason I did it with my mother? Back then, I was frustrated with her because she didnʼt trust me and preferred to follow Zhang Haiʼs decision, and my anger got the better of me when I met her again after two years, so I used my demon charm on her.” Mei did not refute Zhang Xiaolong.

”However, Iʼve more or less changed now, so I can understand Xing Meiʼs anger towards me, especially since Gu Zhan died at Boitataʼs hands. Moreover, I would think the same as her if someone killed my son, and I would take revenge no matter what the cost.”

[What are your plans for your grandmother, master? Arenʼt you going to give your yang qi to her?]

”Cough... Cough...” Meiʼs question caused Zhang Xiaolong to choke. ”Somehow, I feel that you are crazier than me! I never planned such a thing for my grandmother, and she herself would feel weird swallowing my yang qi, so I never thought of giving it to her.”

[Well, thatʼs true. However, your grandmotherʼs cultivation is the slowest among them, so she will sooner or later fall far further behind them. Moreover, if she swallows your yang qi, it doesnʼt necessarily mean she will become a member of your harem. You can simply give it to her in a bottle, so there shouldnʼt be any issues.

Even though you have restored her youth, it will be difficult to increase her lifespan, and if that happens, she will die of old age, which is something you certainly donʼt want to happen.]

After hearing that, Zhang Xiaolongʼs expression turned serious, particularly because his grandmother was the most important person in his life. She is the one who has always loved and believed in him, so he certainly didnʼt want Zhang Chen to die because she was out of her life span. ”Sigh!

Youʼre right, I donʼt want that to happen, but Iʼll discuss the matter with her first, and I wonʼt force her if she doesnʼt want to.”

[Additionally, you can also give your yang qi to Xu Lingʼer, which will greatly benefit her and accelerate her cultivation. Even though sheʼs still a child now, sheʼs already expressed that she likes you very much, and she canʼt wait to grow up so she can marry you.

Thatʼs why it doesnʼt matter if you give it to her, as long as you donʼt engage in intimate or dual-cultivation with her, and she will surely accept it with pleasure.]

In fact, Zhang Xiaolong still felt strange about Xu Lingʼerʼs feelings for him, especially since she was still a child, so he always thought that her feelings might change as she grew up and met many other men in the future. ”Weʼll discuss this later; we should deal with Pang De first.”

Zhang Xiaolong then walked out of the Chu Clanʼs main hall before jumping to the highest place in the clan residence, and he observed the surrounding area to find the right location to confront Pang De. After searching for some time, he found the most suitable place for it, and the location was right in front of the western forest, which was the gateway to the natural racesʼ sub-realm.

After thinking about it, Zhang Xiaolong decided to summon Zefyr out of the training space, especially since she was a member of the natural races, so he wanted to discuss his plans with her first.

”Why did you call me out? Do you need my help?” Zefyr immediately asked Zhang Xiaolong as soon as he flew out of the training space.

”Yes.” Zhang Xiaolong later told Zefyr about his plans for Pang De. ”Is it okay if I lure him there? ”Iʼm sure he has the demon miasma inside his body, like Pang Zhen, so I have to lure him somewhere else so that he doesnʼt cause people in this city to suffer.”

”I think itʼs okay, especially since the demon miasma wonʼt affect our sub-realm.” Zefyr then looked towards the western forest. ”However, the trees in that area will likely die from the effects, so you should get rid of that person as soon as possible to reduce the impact, especially since they are the protection for the gate to our sub-realm.

If they die, humans will be able to find our sub-realm, and they will probably use various means to breach it.”

”I see.” Zhang Xiaolong then asked Zefyr again. ”Hey, are there any dryads in the fairy forest?”

”Do you intend to move Lillea and her race to our sub-realm?” Zhang Xiaolong responded to Zefyr with a nod. ”Actually, Dryads are one of the natural races, and many of them live in the Fairy Forest. Although they are demons, and many of them possess the darkness element, I believe they will not mind accepting them.

However, you should discuss this matter with them first, especially since it is not easy to leave our ancestral land, and they may miss their home in that realm.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Zhang Xiaolong agreed with Zefyr, especially since he himself still continued to miss life on earth, even though he was comfortable with life in the Sky Jade Realm. After that, he took Lillea out of the training space, and he immediately told the Dryad Queen about his desire to move her kin to the Fairy Forest, which surprised her. ”What do you think about that?

Zefyr said there are many other dryads in her sub-realm, so I donʼt think they would feel out of place if they moved there. Moreover, the situation in the Diyu Realm is still unstable, and war is still looming over the realm, so I think moving to her sub-realm is the best choice for them.”

Instead, Lillea turned to Zefyr. ”Is that true? Are there really that many dryads in your sub-realm?”

”Yes.” Zefyr answered Lillea with a nod. ”Apart from our races, there are still several other nature races, such as dwarfs, druids, gnomes, centaurs, and others. Life in my sub-realm is safe and peaceful, and the Dryad leader is kind, so Iʼm sure sheʼll accept you all.”

Lillea found it difficult to leave the Diyu Realm, as it was their ancestral land. However, she was queen of the Dryads, so she had to think about the members of her race who were always oppressed by the rulers.

Moreover, their numbers had decreased a lot because of those wars, and they were constantly hunting them in the past, so she thought of moving out of that realm and going to a new place to find a better life.

Zhang Xiaolong then spoke to Lillea. ”Leaving the ancestral land is indeed not easy, and I can understand your feelings. However, you and your race members have endured too much oppression, and you all deserve a better life. The fairy forest is the ideal location for this, particularly because only natural races reside there.

Moreover, I can bring you back to the Diyu Realm whenever you want, so you just need to tell me if you miss that place, and I will take you there right away to relieve your longing.”

After thinking about it for quite a while, Lillea immediately agreed with Zhang Xiaolongʼs idea. ”All right, Iʼll bring them into this realm, but Iʼve got to talk to them first. Moreover, if they move to this realm, they can also become cultivators, right? That way, they can grow stronger, and we can take revenge on the rulers who have oppressed us for so many years.”

”Haha.” Instead, Zhang Xiaolong laughed at Lilleaʼs last sentence. ”Honestly, you donʼt have to think about them, especially since Oz has already made his move and the Amaris Twins are already half under my control. Moreover, several other demon rulers have agreed to join him now, so those traitors will soon be wiped out.

Even so, the situation in the Diyu Realm will not be completely safe even if they are gone, especially since people from the Tian and Xian realms continue to lurk there, and they might attack there in the near future. Thatʼs why I want you to move them here as soon as possible, so they wonʼt be affected if a war breaks out there.

Anyway, maybe not all of them can become cultivators, especially since we need cultivation veins to cultivate, so I have to make sure of that first.”

”Itʼs okay.” Lillea answered with an understanding nod. ”Even if they canʼt become cultivators like us, dryads have a very long life span, especially if we live in a favorable environment. Most of them have lived a long time and are mature, so Iʼm sure theyʼll understand.”

Zefyr informed Lillea immediately. ”In fact, not all members of the nature races living in the fairy forest are cultivators, and there are many of them who canʼt cultivate. However, we never differentiate between each other, and we always work together for everyoneʼs sake, so your people wonʼt feel disappointed even if they canʼt cultivate.”

”Thatʼs even better.” Lillea then said to Zhang Xiaolong. ”If thatʼs the case, you can send me back to the Dryad Forest so I can talk to them directly. However, they will probably need some time to accept my decision, so you can pick us up in two to three days.”

After that, Zhang Xiaolong sent Lillea back to the Dryad Forest, but he did not send the wind fairy into the training space. Instead, he took Zefyr to the western forest, and he prepared some things outside the forest. ”This way, I am more and more confident that we can get rid of Pang De, and he can enjoy his new life in the other realm, as long as they donʼt kill him directly.”

”Haha! Youʼre really evil; do you know that?” Zefyr then waved her hand, surprising Zhang Xiaolong, especially since many trees had suddenly moved and formed a formation. ”If you look closely, all of the trees in this forest are too old, even older than Boitata, and all of them are really alive.”

Zhang Xiaolong immediately asked Mei to scan the trees, and the results were as Zefyr said just now. ”Anyway, you can wait for me here, and I will return to the Chu Clan to wait for that guy.”

”All right.” After Zhang Xiaolong disappeared, Zefyr took out an object before whispering something to it, and it immediately shot towards the fairy forest. ”This way, they can help him fight that evil guy, and his planʼs success will increase significantly.”

”Hmm?” Oliver, who was sitting relaxed in front of his house, raised his eyebrows for a moment. He then reached forward to grab the object that Zefyr had previously used, and he immediately heard a message from his granddaughter.

Oliver immediately called several people to meet him, and several leaders of the natural races quickly filled his house, one of whom was the leader of the Dryads.

”Why did you suddenly call us?” A man with a half-human and half-horse body asked Oliver, and he was the leader of the centaurs.

”Persix, I havenʼt told you guys about something, and Iʼm waiting for the right time, especially since itʼs related to the future of our natural races.” The centaur and the others raised their eyebrows after hearing Oliverʼs answer. ”The heavenly fox has returned to this realm.”

”What?” After hearing that, Persix and the others yelled in shock.

The leader of the dwarves, a dark red-haired, tiny old man with a muscular body, then questioned Oliver. ”Are you sure that the heavenly fox has returned? How did you know about it?”

Oliver let out a soft sigh before answering him. ”Gravir, my grand-daughter Zefyr, accidentally met the heavenly fox in the southern region, and she is with him now. In addition to his identity as a heavenly fox, he is also a demon and a human, so the writing on the monument has been fulfilled, and he will be the next ten-tailed fox.”

Their expressions became serious after they heard that, but they still didnʼt seem to believe Oliverʼs confession, so he touched their foreheads one by one and shared with them the image of Zhang Fei in his three forms, which he had gotten from Zefyr back then. ”You guys can see him for yourselves, and he really is the man the ten-tailed fox wrote about on the monument.”

They didnʼt answer Oliver right away, and they first saw all the images of Zhang Fei in their minds, which excited them, especially after they saw his three forms, and they finally believed him.

”Oliver, where is he now? Whatʼs his name?” A waist-length red-haired young woman with a tall and plump body inquired, her expression impatient to meet Zhang Fei.

”Ha ha.” Oliver laughed at their impatience. ”Sabina, you donʼt have to be so impatient, do you? In fact, I havenʼt met Zhang Fei myself, and I only know about him from my grandaughterʼs memories. Anyway, he is currently outside the forest, waiting for the arrival of an evil enemy.

However, that person is very strong, and Zefyr is not confident that they can defeat him, so she contacted me to ask for our help. Thatʼs why Iʼve gathered all of you, and we will head out to help them.”

Hearing that, Sabina immediately led them to fly towards the exit of their realm. ”Letʼs go! The ten-tailed fox saved us in the past, and that kid is his successor, so we must help him.”
