Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 376: Talk With Ursula

”My lords?” Ashreth called out softly as she looked at the Amaris Twins with a tired face, especially since her power hadnʼt fully recovered.

Nadea, who had just opened her eyes, was also surprised by the presence of the Amaris twins. She immediately warned them. ”My lords, you two should be careful; Ursula is not dead yet, and they have just woken up from their long slumber.”

The Amaris twins looked shocked when they heard the name, and they naturally recognized their ancestors. They never knew that the two were still alive, especially since they had never been able to check inside the black castle.

”My lords, Ursula absorbed our demon powers and essences, and they also killed our friends.” The Amaris twins immediately turned to Kyllia. ”They told us that the presence of an unusual man in this place woke them up from their sleep, but they did not tell us about his identity.”

Feltia, who was listening to them from a distance, raised her eyebrows immediately. ʼUrsula should be their ancestors, right? I didnʼt expect that my arrival here would wake them up, but I donʼt understand why they didnʼt attack me if they could sense my presence from within their castle.ʼ

[Master, theyʼre here.] Just as Mei warned Feltia, Ursula had already appeared in front of them, causing them to become tense. [Master, despite having a single body, this woman is actually two people, and their demon rank is at the Empress level.]

Feltia immediately became alert after hearing that, especially since Ursula was too strong, and she didnʼt know anything about their characters. ʼShow their status, Mei.ʼ

ʼDevourer demon?ʼ Feltia muttered inwardly as she read the rest of Ursulaʼs status information, Her interest was piqued by some of their abilities, particularly their devouring art.

”Haha.” Ursula chuckled as they stretched their hands forward, and they immediately pulled the Amaris Twins towards her before strangling their necks. ”Haha! Actually, we still didnʼt want to come to you two, but you guys came to us on your own, so we wonʼt let this opportunity pass.”

Ursula didnʼt give the Amaris twins a chance to break free, and they immediately absorbed their demon powers and essences, causing both of them to groan in pain.

”Argh! Let me go!” As they screamed in pain, the Amaris Twin repeatedly punched Ursulaʼs hand, and they tried to use their illusion on them.

Unfortunately, Uruslaʼs demon rank was far above the Amaris Twinʼs, and they also mastered illusion abilities like them, so their illusions didnʼt work on them at all.

Feeling that she had no other way to escape, the White Amaris immediately used her light power to attack Ursula, but her efforts were unsuccessful. ʼDamn it! They also have light power, and they absorb mine!ʼ

However, the white Amarisʼs action greatly shocked the black Amaris, who had no idea that her twin sister possessed light power, and she felt that she had been deceived by her for thousands of years. Even Ashreth, Nadea, and Kyllia were shocked to see that he could use light power.

”Hahaha!” Ursula laughed at the actions of the Amaris twins. ”Have you both forgotten that we are your ancestors? Naturally, we have the same abilities as you two, but we also have many abilities that you did not inherit. Even so, you two donʼt need to worry because we will not kill you, so you guys should stop struggling and let us absorb your demon powers and essence.”

The black Amaris continued to glare at her twin sister as she endured the pain from Ursulaʼs actions, which made the white Amaris feel guilty towards her.

After they were satisfied with absorbing the Amaris Twinʼs demon powers and essences, Ursula immediately let the two demon rulers fall to the ground. Their faces were completely pale as they were panting heavily, and they had difficulty moving their bodies.

”Hehehe! Thanks to your demon powers and essences, my power has been recovered by eighty percent now. Unfortunately, this is still not enough, and I need to recover my power as soon as possible.” Ursula then looked at Felti and moved in front of her in the blink of an eye, and they immediately grabbed her cheeks before bringing their head closer to her ear.

ʼYou may be able to deceive my descendants, but you cannot deceive me, and I know that you are the male human who met that young siren before.ʼ

Feltia wasnʼt surprised by Ursulaʼs words, especially since they had the eyes of truth, so she wouldnʼt be able to fool them. Even so, they seemed to have no intention of revealing her true identity, so she had no intention of doing so either, and she spoke to them via telepathy. ʼYouʼre right, I am human, but Iʼm also a demon.

Anyway, you donʼt need to think about absorbing my demon power or essence, especially since you wonʼt be able to do it.ʼ

”Oh?” Ursula looked at Feltia in surprise, but they didnʼt believe that they couldnʼt do that to her. Thatʼs why they immediately tried to do it, but the result was as per her words. ”Interesting! Youʼre still so young, and your demon rank is also only at Earl Rank, but we canʼt absorb your demon power and essence.”

Unlike the Amaris twin, who had expected this to happen, Ashreth and the two female demons were truly shocked to hear that Ursula couldnʼt do something like that to Feltia despite their huge difference in strength and rank.

ʼAnyway, I can summon Oz, Zygoz, and Tharnon at once, so you guys wonʼt be able to do anything to me.ʼ Ursula raised their eyebrows when they heard that, but they immediately looked at the token in Feltiaʼs hand. ʼYou may not know this yet, but one of your descendants is a traitor.

The white Amaris is in cahoots with those winged races, and the second demon emperor suspected that the black Amaris kidnapped Kinos the Cancer, so he sent me to keep an eye on them.ʼ

Hearing that, Ursula immediately looked at the white Amaris with a muderous look, especially since they really hated the winged race, causing her to tremble in fear.

ʼHey! You better not do anything to the white Amaris, especially since her life is in my hands now, and I still need her to increase my demon rank.ʼ Ursula immediately returned her attention to Feltia. ʼOz has merged a portion of her soul with mine, so she is mine now.

If you insist on doing anything to her, I will summon the three of them to stop you, and you will be the one who suffers if they come here.ʼ

Ursula frowned after hearing Feltiaʼs threat, especially since no other demon dared to threaten them before, except for the two demon emperors and the two men. Even so, they didnʼt do anything to her and pulled back their hands immediately, but they continued to look at her with irritated looks.

ʼPhew!ʼ Feltia let out a sigh of relief in her heart. ”Can I take them back?”

”I still need them, and I wonʼt let them go until my strength is fully restored.” Ursula immediately rejected Feltia, enveloped them all in their demon aura, and immediately led them into the black castle.

ʼDamn it! Why did they bring us to this horrible place again?ʼ Ashreth, Nadea, and Kyllia grumbled in their hearts as soon as they arrived inside the black castle.

”Hey! You three must take these two little girls to one of the rooms in that area, and all of you must come to me in the master bedroom after you all recover, or I will kill you all.” Ursula ordered the three female demons as they pointed their fingers in a certain direction, and she then took Feltia away with her. ”Do it now!”

Feeling the pressure of Ursulaʼs demon auras, the three female demons immediately lifted the Amaris Twins to their feet, and they laboriously carried the two of them away to that area, as their strength had yet to fully recover.

Meanwhile, Ursula had brought Feltia to her private room, and they immediately sat down at the foot of the bed before asking her. ”Arenʼt you afraid of me?”

”Why should I be afraid of you?” Feltia asked back as she sat down on an empty chair before speaking to Ursula again. ”At first, I was afraid of you because of your Empress rank, and you could kill me easily. However, I also have a unique eye ability, and I can see into your souls, so I know that you two are not as evil as I previously thought.”

”Is that so?” Ursula asked again, with a faint smile. ”Unfortunately, you are making a big mistake if you think that we are not evil, and we have just returned from killing countless demons in Tauriʼs sub-realm.”

”Didnʼt you two do it to restore your strength?” Ursula nodded to Feltia. ”Even though I am much weaker than you, I have killed so many people, whether humans or demons, so I donʼt think that you two are evil.”

”Oh?” Seeing Ursula doubting her, Feltia immediately released her killing intent, causing them to shiver slightly. ”No wonder Oz chose you to help him; it turns out that you are quite terrifying, and your killing intent is not that inferior to old demons like us.”

”Hehe.” Feltia chuckled at that. ”Anyway, how did you two fake your deaths from them? Moreover, Oz didnʼt seem to know that you were still alive before, and your two descendants were the same as him.”

”Youʼre wrong about that.” Ursula replied with a shake of her head. ”Back then, we were hit by an attack from the Throne, so we immediately fled the battlefield and returned to this castle, and we sealed it. They probably thought we were dead because his attack was really powerful, and it hit us squarely at close range.

Fortunately, we had our abilities, and we had prepared something in this place before the war happened, so we managed to keep our lives. However, we became extremely weak, so we fell into a deep sleep at that time, and we wouldnʼt have woken up if you hadnʼt come here.”

”I see.” Feltia nodded in understanding. ”Since they couldnʼt penetrate your barrier, they couldnʼt check your condition, so they thought that you had died from the Throneʼs attack.”

”Thatʼs right.” Ursula then took out an orb. ”This orb is the key to my barrier, and it is a relic of our ancestors, so no one can break through this place, including the first demon emperor.”

[Master, based on the systemʼs scan, the orb is a heaven-grade protective artifact, and it doesnʼt require Qi to activate it. Unfortunately, it wonʼt be useful in the Sky Jade Realm, especially since peak sovereign-level cultivators can destroy it.]

Feltia nodded slightly at Meiʼs explanation. ”Does this mean that you have agreed to join Oz?”

”I donʼt have any other choice, right?” Ursula released a heavy sigh before continuing. ”Oz is a celestial demon, and his race is much higher than devourer demons like us. In addition, our demon ranks are equal, and we demons consider strength to be the most important, so we have to admit that he is superior to us.

Furthermore, we cannot take revenge on the Throne by ourselves, and we need a lot of help to fight him, so our best choice is to join him.”

”Speaking of the Throne, is that guy really that strong?” Feltia curiously asked.

”The Throne is powerful, and he is slightly superior to the first demon emperor with his ten seeds.” Ursulaʼs answer shocked Feltia, but she was even more shocked by their next words. ”In fact, there is still one person who is stronger than him, and that person is the leader of the Xian Realm.

You may find it hard to believe, but that guy can corner them easily, especially if he uses his space abilities. Fortunately, that guy did not participate in the war in the past, mainly because he suffered an injury due to his own mistake, or else this Diyu realm would have disappeared long ago if he participated in that war.”

”Space abilities?” Feltia looked at Ursula in surprise, especially since she had never met cultivators or demons with such abilities before.

”Yes.” Ursula then told Feltia about the manʼs identity and some of his abilities that she knew. ”I donʼt know if that guy has recovered from his injuries or not, but I can say for sure that this realm will have no future if he recovers and attacks us.

Oz is strong, but he does not have the ten seeds, so his strength is still inferior to that of the first demon emperor, and he will never be able to fight him.”

Feltiaʼs expression turned serious after hearing that. ”Why did Oz never tell me about that man?”

”Hehe.” Ursula chuckled before telling Feltia. ”Oz was still a small brat at that time, and the first demon emperor never revealed anything about them, especially since that would only bring panic to this realm, so he didnʼt know anything about his powers. However, I, Tharnon, and some demons in our generation know about him, including Zygoz.”

”Zygoz, huh?” Feltia muttered softly. ”Forget it; I donʼt want to get involved in your business with the people of the Xian Realm, and I will leave this realm after I help Oz to stop those winged races.”

”Oh? Are you going to return to the human realm?”

”Yes.” Feltia nodded to Ursula. ”Even though I am a demon, I never really enjoyed my time in this realm, and I came here for two reasons. First, I want to save the Dryads from your descendants and the others. Second, I need demon essence to become strong, so I have no choice but to come to this realm.”

Ursula supported their chin while looking at Feltia. ”How do you absorb their demon essence? Do you have the ability to devour like us?”
