Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 223: Shire Demon City

After she left Oz, Feltia returned to the Dryad Forest, and she immediately sent Janette and Lillea to the training space. After that, she flew to the platform where the portal led to the twin Amarisʼs sub-realm, and she immediately entered it after the portal fully opened.

After the three notifications appeared, Feltia frowned, and she guessed that she would have to go to one of the cities to complete the first quest, like the quest she had gotten when she set foot in the Diyu Realm. However, she felt confused about the second quest, especially since there were no significant clues from it.

As for the third quest, she only needed to find information about the whereabouts of the sand demon snake, so she didnʼt think too much about it.

Feltia then looked towards the front, but she was stunned because the sub-realm was much bigger than she had previously imagined, and the two sides were completely opposite each other. The area on the left is as bright as day, and the area on the right is darker than night. In addition, she could see a tower rising high into the sky in the middle, perfectly aligned with both areas.

”What the hell is wrong with this place? How can these two areas be so contrasting?”

[The power of the white Amaris and the black Amaris created this sub-realm, so you shouldnʼt be surprised by its current state. Anyway, I detected a lot of evil energy from the dark area, so I thought the demons and demon beasts in that area were very fierce.]

”What about the bright area?”

[Surprisingly, I didnʼt detect any evil energy from the bright area, but you should still be careful going into there, especially since appearances are often deceiving and they are likely using something to disguise their evil energy.]

ʼI know, Mei.ʼ Feltia then opened the map and searched for the Twin Amaris, discovering their position at the towerʼs highest peak. However, she found another demon ruler there, who was none other than Leon the Leo. She also discovered several large cities in both areas, each home to various demon races.

As for the sand demon snake, she couldnʼt find the demon beast anywhere, so she thought about going to one of those cities first before looking for information about it. ”Since theyʼre busy in the tower, Iʼll check the dark area first.”

[Eh? Master, why donʼt you check the bright areas first?]

Feltia immediately used the invisibility ability before flying away towards the dark area. ”Mei, they are all demons, remember? Furthermore, Janette informed me that Virgil is the only demon possessing the power of light, which left me feeling uneasy about the white Amaris. I suspected there was something unusual in that area, so I decided not to venture there for now.”

[Well, thatʼs true. Anyway, are you thinking about accepting Ozʼs offer, Master?]

”No.” Feltia responded as she surveyed the area beneath her, observing that all the inhabitants of the sub realm, whether demons or demon beasts, were female. ”Even though Iʼve examined his soul and found nothing untoward in him, I donʼt know much about Oz. Therefore, I wonʼt blindly trust him, as thereʼs a chance he might use me as a sacrifice to deal with the people from the Xian and Tian Realms.

Moreover, Iʼm not part of this realm, so I donʼt care about the fate of the demons in this place except for the Dryads, especially since they are Jannetteʼs relatives, and I only save them if people from both realms are attacking here.”

Mei chose not to comment about that matter, especially since her masterʼs character was like that, and she only cared about those closest to her or those who were targeted by her. [Master, I think it would be better if you looked for more normal demon cores first before going to one of those cities, especially since you only have one, and youʼll only get a hundred demon coins from it.]

Feltia nodded in agreement and looked for demon beasts that were quite old, especially since Janette had told her that she could only get demon cores from them. After she found several demon beasts that were quite old, she immediately summoned the demon extermination sword to face them.

However, Feltia chose to use her darkness element instead of her usual light element, particularly because she didnʼt want the three demon rulers to be aware of her presence. Despite this, it didnʼt pose a problem because her sword was a formidable weapon against them.

In addition, Feltia utilized the tree controls to manipulate the nearby trees, which promptly moved to assist her in combating the demon beasts, leading to a chaotic situation within the herd of demon beasts.

A few hours later, after killing too many beasts, Feltia unsummoned the demon extermination sword, fearing that her actions would raise suspicion among the demons in the sub-realm. After she extracted the normal demon cores from their heads, she immediately used her fire element to burn their corpses.

[You obtained 50 normal demon cores.]

”Hmm?” Feltia suddenly felt a strong demonic aura heading towards her quickly, so she immediately hid behind a large black tree, using her invisibility once again. She raised her eyebrows slightly when she saw Leon flying so quickly towards the portal out of that realm. ʼSo he is the ruler representing Leo, huh? That guy does look as fierce as a lion, and his demon aura is also powerful.

Even though he is significantly weaker than Oz, I am still not his opponent.ʼ

After Leon disappeared from her sight, Feltia immediately flew quickly in a state of invisibility, but she felt confused about which city she should go to first. In the end, she decided to check on the residents of Shire Demon City, the city closest to her location. Her eyes glistened as she noticed several demon races that caught her attention. ”Oh? Dark elves, huh?

Iʼve read that elves are gorgeus, both ordinary elves and dark elves, and Iʼm really curious about their beauty, so Iʼll go to that city first to look for them.”

[Ha ha ha! Master, you always reprimand me when I label you as a pervert, but your actions clearly demonstrate that you are indeed a pervert! You even decided to go to that city just because of those dark elves!]

After hearing that, the corner of Feltiaʼs lips twitched. ”So what if Iʼm a pervert? If you had a real body, I would definitely eat you too, Mei.”

[Humph! You can keep dreaming about it, especially since I donʼt have a real body, so it will never happen.]

After she flew for some time, Feltia arrived at Shire Demon City, but two female demon guards immediately stopped her as she was about to enter the city, and one of them asked her directly. ”Whatʼs your name? Youʼre a newcomer to this sub-realm, right?”

”My name is Feltia, and I usually live in Lord Zygozʼs sub-realm, so this is my first time here.”

The female demon guards didnʼt seem suspicious hearing Feltiaʼs answer, especially since they also knew that there were many succubi living in Zygozʼs sub-realm. ”What is your purpose in coming here?”

Feltia shook her head before giving her answer to the female demon guards. ”Honestly, I didnʼt have a specific purpose for coming here, and I felt bored with Lord Zygozʼs sub-realm, so I decided to take a look at the sub-realms of the other rulers.”

”To enter this city, you must pay for a normal demon core or one hundred demon coins.”

ʼTch! What a robbery!ʼ Feltia inwardly cursed, but she immediately handed them a normal demon core, and one of them promptly noted down her identity. ”Do you know where I can exchange demon cores for demon coins? I didnʼt bring anything with me when I left my house, and I hunted demon beasts on the way here, so I want to exchange them for demon coins.”

”Over there.” Feltia immediately followed the direction pointed out by one of the female demon guards, but she quickly raised her eyebrows, especially since the place looked like a pub. ”You can go there and meet Lady Ashreth; my lady Amaris has appointed her to oversee this city, so you can exchange your demon cores with her.”

”All right, I will go see Lady Ashreth right now.”

Feltia strolled slowly into Shire Demon City, observing the buildings. She noticed numerous mingzhu-like crystals affixed to the buildings, serving as the cityʼs lighting source. ʼHmm? Mei, who is the strongest demon in this city? Is Ashreth the strongest?ʼ

[Master, Ashreth is not the strongest demon in this city; she holds the rank of countess, just like Janette. The strongest female demon in this city is a female gorgon named Kyllia, who possesses strength comparable to Lilleaʼs and resides in a building at the back of the city. Even so, sheʼs no match for Boitata, so you donʼt need to worry about her.]

Feltia nodded in understanding as her eyes followed several female dark elves who were walking towards Ashrethʼs pub. ʼApparently, that woman is the leader of the dark elves in this city, or else they wouldnʼt be flocking there.ʼ

[Master, Ashreth is indeed a dark elf, so you can go there to seduce her.]

ʼGoddamnit, Mei! You always ask me to seduce women, but you also call me a pervert!ʼ

[Ha ha ha! Itʼs a fact that you are a pervert, so you donʼt need to deny it, Master.] Feltia gritted her teeth after hearing that, but Mei then told her again. [Master, look at the building in the northeast; I think you can go there to have fun with the female demons there.]

ʼHmm?ʼ Feltia raised her eyebrows as she looked at the building Mei pointed out, but she immediately choked up after seeing the signboard in front of the building. ʼCough... Cough... Hey! Itʼs a brothel! How could you ask me to go there?ʼ

[Master, donʼt you personally believe that the Yin-Yang Pavilion is comparable to a brothel? So it shouldnʼt be a big deal if you have fun in that brothel, right?

Moreover, there are no male demons in this sub-realm, so I think those female demons are much better compared to the female disciples of that sect, and you can get tons of female essence from them, which can increase your demon rank even faster.]

Feltia nodded in agreement with that. ʼYouʼre right about that. However, I am a man, and I donʼt want to have fun with them while Iʼm in the disguise of a succubus like now. If I transform into an incubus now, Ashreth is likely to inform the Amaris Twins about my presence in this city, and Kyllia is likely to launch a direct attack on me. Therefore, I will refrain from taking such risky actions.

Moreover, Iʼll probably be staying in this city for quite a while, so I donʼt need to act hastily, and Iʼll act accordingly.ʼ

Not long after, Feltia arrived in front of Ashrethʼs pub and entered directly, and a glimmer of desire to subdue her flashed in her eyes when she saw her figure.

Ashreth herself has a beautiful face with long black hair tied in a ponytail, wide pink eyes, a slender nose, pointed long ears, and a long neck. Her black skin exudes an exotic charm, while her body exudes sensuality with her E or F-Cup breasts wrapped in black cloth. The black cloth, shaped like mini jeans, covers her bottom and accentuates her long legs.

[Humph! A pervert will always be a pervert!]

Feltia ignored Mei and approached Ashreth directly. ”Excuse me, Lady Ashreth. My name is Feltia, and I am a newcomer to this city.”

”Oh?” With a dazzling smile, Ashreth turned to Feltia, and she lifted her chin with one finger while asking. ”What can I do for you, young succubus?”
