Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 241: Hidden Sea Palace Disciples

Ning Xiang observed the male owl bear for a moment before taking out a jade flute. ”We can face that beast together, but Iʼm not a close combat fighter, so you two should attack it, and Iʼll use my flute to distract it. However, you guys should be careful, especially since we donʼt know for sure his mental strength, so I donʼt know how long my sound techniques can distract him.”

”All right.” Mu Lingshu immediately drew her white sword, and Luo Yu used her hardened silver threads as a weapon. After that, the two rushed to attack the male owl bear, and Ning Xiang also started playing her flute to disturb his concentration.

*Clang*

”Roar!”

Even though the owl bear felt dizzy from Ning Xiangʼs sound attack, he still managed to deflect Mu Lingshuʼs sword with his long and sturdy claws.

The owl beast wanted to counterattack Mu Lingshu, but Luo Yu immediately entangled both of his arms with her silver thread as she stepped on his back. She tried hard to pull his arms backwards, but his strength was much greater than hers, so she had difficulty doing so, which enraged him further.

”Roar!”

*Swoosh*

However, a sound wave shot towards the beast before slicing his chest, leaving a deep wound on his chest and causing him to stagger backward.

Without thinking twice, Luo Yu immediately stomped her legs onto the owl bearʼs back to get away from him. She also used her silver thread to attempt to knock him down, but he responded by stomping his right foot on the ground to support his massive body.

When Mu Lingshu saw this, she immediately thrust her white sword towards the owl beast, but the thickness of his skin prevented her sword from injuring him.

”Roar!” The owl bear let out an angry roar and exerted his strength, causing Luo Yuʼs silver threads to break. He immediately swung his right arm towards Mu Lingshu in an attempt to attack her.

”Watch out, Sister Lingshu!” Luo Yu called out as she stabilized her body on the ground.

”I know.” Mu Lingshu swiftly jumped away from the owl bear, and she slashed her sword at him at the same time. Instantly, two white crosses swiftly shot towards him, but he immediately crossed his arms in front of his body to ward off her attacks.

*Slash... Slash...*

Unfortunately, the owl bearʼs skin was extremely thick, and Mu Lingshuʼs attacks only scratched his skin and had no significant impact on him. Her attack made him even more furious, so he opened his mouth wide before attacking her with a loud roar. ”Roar!”

*swoosh*

The owl bearʼs mouth sent out a sizable shockwave towards Mu Lingxhu, and his attack was too fast for her to dodge, throwing her quite far back.

When Ning Xiang saw that, she immediately jumped down from the top of the tree, caught Mu Lingshu, and carried her up the tree. Luo Yu also immediately moved to their side. ”Are you okay?”

”Iʼm fine.” Mu Lingshu replied softly as she wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. ”Anyway, there seems to be something strange about this owl bear. His cultivation appears to be merely a disguise to deceive us, particularly considering that his recent attack matched the strength of a cultivator at the 9 or 10 Star Core Realm, and his skin is so thick that my sword cannot pierce through it.

However, your sound attack seems to have a big effect on him, so I think it would be better if we attacked him from a distance.”

”Yes.” As she observed the owl bear, Ning Xiang nodded in agreement, and she thought of a way to take him down as soon as possible.

Even though the beastʼs name is owl bear, he canʼt fly like an ordinary owl because his body is too big and his wings are too small to support it.

Luo Yu raised her eyebrows before conveying her idea to them. ”How about we contact Zhang Fei [1]? He wonʼt have any trouble taking him down, so we can go carry out other missions as soon as possible.”

”No.” Ning Xiang and Mu Lingshu immediately rejected Luo Yuʼs idea. ”The three of us are cultivators, so we canʼt keep relying on Zhang Fei [1], and we have to fight on our own to take down this beast.”

Suddenly Du Yuan and Gu Yan landed on another tree branch after they heard the sound of fighting from that location, and then they looked at the owl bear, who was angrily walking towards the tree where the three women were hiding.

”Wow! An adult owl bear is really strong! Even you three havenʼt managed to take him down yet.” Gu Yan spoke as she pulled out her shotbow, loaded it with several arrows, and positioned herself to fire at the beast. ”Let me try attacking him.”

After encasing them in her qi, Gu Yan immediately fired her arrows toward the owl bear, but his tough skin deflected them. ”Shit! His skin is really thick and tough.”

”Thatʼs true. Iʼm not sure if my spear can penetrate his skin, so we have to be careful.” Du Yuan then turned to the three women. ”Do any of you have any ideas? Weʼll waste a lot of time if we attack this beast from a distance, especially since only Ning Xiangʼs sound attacks are effective against him.”

”No.” They answered Du Yuan with a shake of the head, and Ning Xiang then said to her. ”At first, we intended to attack him using long-range attacks by relying on my sound techniques, but you are right that it would take too much time.”

*Bam!*

As he attempted to shred the massive tree with his claws, the owl bear cast a menacing glance at the five women and unleashed a powerful shockwave attack toward them. However, Ning Xiang immediately played her flute to counter his attack, and the collision of their attacks produced a huge explosion sound.

*Boom*

”Haha! It looks like weʼve angered this owl bear.” Gu Yan said this with a soft laugh.

Ning Xiang continued to play her flute, and the owl bear began to push back due to her sound attacks. However, he shielded his body with his large arms, leaving both of them covered in wounds from her attacks.

”Roar!”

*Swoosh*

Suddenly, two blue qi shot towards the owl bear out of nowhere, and he was sent flying backwards by the two attacks before slamming into a boulder with a bang, causing it to explode.

*Bam!*

”Who?” The five women shouted, their faces filled with anger, as someone suddenly attacked their prey.

Soon, three women in light blue dresses landed on the ground right in front of Ning Xiang and the others, and they could see the words Hidden Sea Palace on the sleeves of their dresses.

The first woman has a childish face, two wide brown eyes, thin eyebrows like needles, and pink lips that look seductive. She neatly ties her long brown hair, with two long side bangs hanging down to her chest. Her expression looks flirtatious and playful, and her smooth shoulders are exposed from her dress, which is slightly open at the top.

Although she was not particularly tall, she possessed a waist with an alluring curve, a butt that protruded from the back, and medium-sized breasts that appeared perfectly round.

Despite her lack of beauty, the second woman stood out as the most mature among them, with her long black hair falling loosely and short bangs framing her broad forehead. Although she was slightly taller than the first woman, her body was excessively slender and her chest was nearly flat, which made her lack of appeal.

The third woman is the ugliest among them, but she has the sexiest and most seductive body among them, and she deliberately shows off her deep cleavage. However, her expression looked extremely arrogant, and she looked at the disciples of the Yin-Yang Pavilion with disdain.

”Iʼm sorry, but this owl bear was our prey. Weʼve been hunting him for days, but he managed to escape from us time and time again.” The second woman spoke to Ning Xiang and the others as she pointed her blue sword at the beast. ”Thatʼs why I hope you guys donʼt bother us to capture him, and you can look for another owl beast in another area of this forest.”

However, the third woman suddenly spoke to them with full of contempt. ”Moreover, you are weak bitches, so you will not be able to defeat that owl bear; therefore, all of you better get out of our sight immediately, because you are eyesores.”

After hearing that, Mu Lingshu and the others raised their eyebrows, but they werenʼt surprised either, especially considering that most people always thought of them as prostitutes simply because they were disciples of the Yin-Yang Pavilion, which was once a brothel area.

Hearing that, the first woman shook her head and scolded her sect sister. ”You donʼt have to insult them like that, Sister You Han. Even though-”

”Why are you defending them, Chu Xing?” You Han yelled angrily at her, pointing her index finger at the five women perched on the trees. ”Youʼre not from this region, right? Itʼs understandable that you may not be aware that Yin-Yang Pavilion was once a brothel area, housing numerous prostitutes. Despite the transformation of the area into a sect, they continue to engage in prostitution.

Since they are disciples of that sect, they are no different from prostitutes, so you donʼt need to defend them.”

Hearing the name of the first woman, Ning Xiang and the others immediately exchanged glances with each other as they recognized her identity. ʼChu Xing? Isnʼt she the second young miss of the Chu Clan? Doesnʼt that mean sheʼs Zhang Fei [1]ʼs sister-in-law?ʼ

The second woman let out a soft sigh and stopped them. ”All right, stop it, you guys. There is no need to fight because of disciples from other sects, and we just need to focus on capturing that owl beast as soon as possible, so we can return to our sect afterwards, especially since we have been gone for a few weeks.”

They nodded in agreement with her, but You Han turned to Ning Xiang and the others, and she insulted them once more. ”Hey, Bitches! Shoo! Leave this place now! Otherwise, Iʼll beat up lowly bitches like you, and ugh!”

”You Han!” Chu Xing and the second woman exclaimed when they saw their sister being suppressed to the ground, and they looked towards the five women but realized that they were not the culprits. ”Who!?”

”Honestly, I donʼt like hurting a woman, but I wonʼt let anyone insult my partners.”

”Fei!” The five women were overjoyed as Zhang Fe [1] appeared in front of them along with Xia Qianqian.

In fact, they had already arrived at their location since they started fighting with the owl bear beast, but Zhang Fei [1] wanted to see their fighting abilities first, so he decided not to help them fight the beast.

Chu Xing was stunned when she saw Zhang Feiʼs [1]ʼs face, but her lips curled up into a flirtatious smile, especially after her eyes moved down to his body. ʼHaha! He doesnʼt appear to be just a dual cultivator; he seems to be a body cultivator too! I like his muscular body, especially his abs.ʼ

Naturally, Zhang Fei [1] noticed Chu Xingʼs gaze, but the sight of her face made him feel incredibly familiar. ʼHey, Mei, show me her status.ʼ

[Hahaha! She is your sister-in-law, Master.]

ʼI didnʼt expect to meet Qingyuʼs second daughter in a place like this.ʼ Zhang Fei [1] responded with a slight nod before speaking to Chu Xing. ”I have long heard about you from your mother and two sisters, but I didnʼt expect that we would meet in a situation like this, sister-in-law.”

Hearing that, the second woman looked at Zhang Fei [1] for a moment before turning to Chu Xing. ”Do you know her, Xingʼer?”

”No, Iʼve never seen his face before, Sister Wei Luan.” Chu Xing then pointed to her own face as she asked Zhang Fei [1]. ”Do you know me? Why did you address me as your sister-in-law? Weʼve never even met before, and my two sisters arenʼt married either.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [1] laughed when he heard that. ”It seems your mother hasnʼt told you about me, huh? Hey, I am married to Chu Ying and Chu Qing, so you are my sister-in-law, right?”
