Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 224: Quest Informations

Feltia inwardly laughed at Ashrethʼs behavior before showing her the normal demon cores. ”I came here to exchange these cores for demon coins, and I also want to find a place to stay in this city for some time.”

”Hmm?” Ashreth immediately counted them before shaking her head. ”You will only get five thousand demon coins from these fifty demon cores, and they are only enough for you to rent a house in this city for a month, as the cheapest rent is five thousand demon coins.”

ʼDang! Even renting a house in this city is so expensive!ʼ Feltia then replied to Ashreth. ”I think itʼs not a problem because I wonʼt be staying in this city for too long, and Iʼll probably only stay for a month before going to look around other cities. Besides, I can still hunt demon beasts to get more demon cores if Iʼm short on them, so itʼs not a problem for me.”

”Thatʼs true.” Ashreth then offered something to Feltia. ”Would you like to work at my pub? That way, you wonʼt have to rent a house, and I will pay you two hundred demon coins per day, so you wonʼt have to think about such things anymore.”

ʼEh? The salary isnʼt that bad, huh? Even though I will still hunt demon beasts, her offer is not bad, and I can get more demon coins.ʼ After thinking about it seriously, Feltia decided to accept her offer. ”All right, I will accept your offer, Lady Ashreth.”

”Thatʼs good.” Ashreth responded with a seductive smile and then lifted Feltia behind the bar counter, a feat of strength that surprised her. However, several groups of female demons suddenly entered the pub, their appearances messy, as if they had just fought a strong opponent.

Feltia didnʼt care much about those female demons, especially since they werenʼt that strong in her eyes, and she was more curious about Ashreth. ʼHey, Mei, show me this womanʼs status.ʼ

ʼHmm? Mei, which of her abilities should I copy?ʼ

[Master, your demon physique strengthening method has already made your physique much stronger than most demons or cultivators, and it will continue to do so as your cultivation increases further. Also, your stamina is very high, so I suggest you copy her regenerative healing factor, especially since it is a passive ability and will help you recover faster if you suffer any serious injuries.]

ʼI see.ʼ Feltia nodded in agreement with that. ʼAll right, I will find a way to copy her regenerative healing factor.ʼ

The female demons immediately approached the counter, prompting Ashreth to ask them questions. ”What happened to all of you? Why are your appearances so messy? Arenʼt you guys looking for that spoiled girl?”

One of them released a heavy sigh before answering her question. ”Lady Ashreth, we wonʼt be able to complete that mission, especially since that siren girl entered the death valley, which is really scary.”

”We have reached the death valley before, but there are too many strong demon beasts there, so we are not their opponents, Lady Ashreth.” Another female demon responded by applying an item like an ointment to the wounds on her hands.

Another female demon was also explained to Ashreth. ”They were right, Lady Ashreth. We tried to fight some of them, but their numbers were simply too many, and two of us died there. Thatʼs why we decided to retreat and return to this city, or we would die there.”

ʼHmm? A siren?ʼ Upon hearing that, Feltia raised her eyebrows and immediately opened the map to locate the death valley, assuming the siren girl had a connection to her second quest. Eventually, she pinpointed the death valleyʼs location, only to discover that it was within White Amarisʼs domain, concealed by a towering mountain range teeming with numerous formidable demon creatures. ʼTch!

I had previously suspected that the area was indeed unusual, and it turned out to be a truly scary place.ʼ

”I see.” Ashreth nodded in understanding after listening to their explanation. ”All right, you guys can go back to your places and rest, and I will send a stronger group there to rescue that girl, or her mother will blame us for not being able to save her daughter.”

”Yes, Lady Ashreth.”

”Letʼs go.” Ashreth immediately pulled Feltia into the door behind the bar, and they walked down a wide hallway. However, the hallway was quite frightening, with numerous heads of various demons and demon beasts mounted on the walls. ”Are you scared of them? These heads are trophies from the demon hunters who work under me, and most of them come from outside this sub-realm.”

”No.” Feltia responded by shaking her head. ”Iʼve seen much more horrific things before, so these heads have no impact on me. In any case, who is the siren girl that you and your colleagues were discussing earlier, Lady Ashreth? Why do you look so serious about her disappearance?”

Ashreth sighed softly and told Feltia directly. ”Her name is Nauvia, and her mother, Nadea, is one of my Lady Black Amarisʼ loyal servants, so their status is higher than mine. That girl has a naughty, spoiled, and rebellious character, and she has disappeared numerous times, making it difficult for us to save her.

This is particularly challenging because she frequently escapes to the most dangerous places in this sub-realm, and she has also gone to the sub-realms of other rulers before. Even so, the reward for saving her is always big, so the other demon hunters donʼt care about their personal affairs and aim for the reward.”

”Since her mother is one of my Lady Black Amarisʼ loyal servants, she should be powerful, right? Why doesnʼt she look for her daughter herself?”

”Ha ha.” Ashreth laughed softly while hugging Feltiaʼs arm. ”I donʼt know for sure about life in the sub-realm of other rulers, but life in this sub-realm is completely different and harsh. The tower offers the best life in this sub-realm, but only the chosen demons can gain entry.

Even though Nadea is now one of my ladyʼs loyal followers, her position is never safe, and many other demons are always targeting it. Thatʼs why she is unable to leave the tower, constantly focusing on securing her position, fearing that her life would spiral downhill if she were to be expelled from that place.”

ʼNot only humans, but even demons also think about material things, huh?ʼ Feltia then asked Ashreth again. ”Lady, do you know anything about the sand demon snake?”

Ashreth immediately stopped walking and looked at Feltia with raised eyebrows. ”Did you come to this sub-realm to hunt the sand demon snake? Do you know how powerful that demon beast is?”

”Haha.” Feltia laughed awkwardly as she shook her head at Ashreth. ”I donʼt know for sure about the sand demon snakeʼs strength, but I heard that there is a huge reward for killing it. Thatʼs why I thought about hunting it, but I donʼt know its hiding location.”

”You are right; the reward for killing the sand demon snake is indeed great, and it lives in a desert in the bright area.” Ashreth answered with a nod. However, the demon beastʼs strength surpasses that of a marquis or a marchioness, and it also possesses immunity to certain elements, such as poison and petrification. Even Kyllia, the strongest in this city, has challenged it once.

However, their battle resulted in her defeat, leaving her with severe injuries. As for you, your demon rank is still at baroness rank, so you should abandon your desire to challenge that beast, or else your death would be in vain.”

ʼThe sand demon snakeʼs strength is slightly higher than the marquis and marchioness, huh? If thatʼs true, I can ask Boitata to kill that snake, and he definitely wonʼt have any trouble doing it.ʼ Feltia muttered inwardly as she searched the map for the desert location Ashreth was referring to. She quickly found it, but the demon beast was not visible there.

Could it possibly be lurking beneath the desert? Sigh. Iʼll devise a plan to reach there later, particularly since the quest doesnʼt have a time limit. My primary focus will be on increasing my demon rank, but I need to find some female demons first.ʼ

[Why donʼt you seduce Ashreth directly, Master? Her demon rank is quite high, and you can get a lot of female essence from her.]

Feltia naturally wanted to seduce Ashreth, but she was one of the Amaris Twinsʼ confidants, so she didnʼt want to rashly seduce her, especially since she herself was in the enemyʼs nest, which would be detrimental to her. ʼSigh, Iʼll think of a way to seduce her, but I wonʼt do it anytime soon.ʼ

”Are you still thinking about hunting the snake demon beast?” Ashreth asked through squinted eyes, and Feltia immediately nodded, causing her to sigh heavily. ”You are such a daredevil, huh? What if you join one of the demon hunter groups? You can increase your strength while carrying out several missions that suit your demon rank, and you can hunt that snake once you are truly ready.”

”Thatʼs not a bad idea, and Iʼll take you up on your offer.” Feltia nodded in response before posing another question. ”Do you always care about all demons as much as you do about me, Lady Ashreth?”

”Ha ha.” Ashreth laughed at Feltiaʼs question. ”Honestly, I donʼt really care if they die while carrying out the mission, and thatʼs actually better because the population in this sub-realm is already too large, and their death will make the competition even less. However, you are such a cute succubi, so I donʼt want you to die.”

ʼWhat a ridiculous reason!ʼ Feltia silently spoke. ”Why do you care so much about succubi? Do you really like the demons of my race?”

”Yes, I do like succubi, but I hate incubus.” Feltia raised her eyebrows after hearing that, and Ashreth then explained it to her. ”You must already know that there are only female demons in this realm, right? This is because the two rulers donʼt like male demons, and neither do the female demons who live here, including me.”

”So all female demons in this realm are like people of the same sex, huh?”

”Yes.” Ashreth answered with a nod. ”Moreover, you, succubi, have some unique abilities that can make us horny and orgasm without having to have sex, right? Thatʼs why I like your race; however, there arenʼt many of them in this sub-realm, so I want you to stay by my side to help me with your abilities.”

[Hahaha!] Mei suddenly laughed inside Feltiaʼs mind. [Isnʼt this a good opportunity for you, Master? Ashreth has already stated her wishes clearly, so you donʼt need to be afraid of her and other demons anymore, and you can make the best use of the opportunity in front of you.]

After hearing that, Feltia shook her head slightly. ”All right, I will help you as much as possible, Lady Ashreth.”

”Hehe, thatʼs good.” Ashreth then took her to the room at the end of the hall, where many female demons gathered. ”Hey guys, Feltia is a newcomer to this sub-realm, and she will stay here with you all from today onward, so I hope you guys will treat her well, or I will punish you if any of you dare to treat her badly.”

Those female demons nodded to Ashreth, but they also felt jealous of Feltia, especially since she preferred her so much.

Ashreth then pointed to one of them, who was a dark elf like her. ”Fyr, I have to go meet our rulers, so Feltia will join your group, and you can explain to her about the demon hunter rules and stuff.”

”Yes, Sister Ashreth.”

Ashreth then turned to Feltia. ”For the time being, you can learn many things from Fyr, and I will see you again after I return from the tower.”
