Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 197: Plant Manipulation

Zhang Fei had already brought his mother, aunt, and cousin to the Chu Clanʼs main hall, but Qing Tan and Quan Xun kept staring at the four women in shock, especially since three of them addressed him as their husband, which means they share a husband with each other.

Not far from them, Zhang Yue and the women from earth were sitting side by side, except for Xu Lingʼer, who chose to cultivate inside the qi gathering formation in the back garden, along with the two tigresses.

Qing Tan and Quan Xun became even more shocked once Zhang Fei explained to them about the Sky Jade Realm, cultivators, and its relationship with people from the Chu Clan. He also told them about his relationship with Zhong Yan, but he hasnʼt told them about his relationship with his family, especially since such a relationship is taboo for ordinary humans like the two of them.

”Anyway, I donʼt have much free time right now because Iʼve made a promise to someone and want to fulfill it as quickly as possible, so I have to focus on my own practice.

Thatʼs why my mother and grandmother will explain to you two about how to cultivate, and you guys will understand the truth of my words after you become cultivators like us.” Zhang Fei then asked Liu Hua to summon the Wen Twins, who soon appeared in front of them, and he later asked Mei to open a portal to the training space before bringing them all in.

After they left, Qing Yi and Zhang Chen led the two people back to the back garden, especially since that place was the best place to start their journey of becoming cultivators, and they also explained to the two about the basics of cultivation.

”Big Sis, whereʼs Heʼer? All of you are here, but I havenʼt seen him since earlier.”

Qing Yi immediately stopped walking before turning to Qing Tan with a sad expression. ”Heʼer is dead, so heʼs not with us now.”

”Huh?” Qing Tan and Quan Xun were completely shocked after hearing the news. ”Who killed him? Why didnʼt you tell us before?”

”Heʼerʼs death hit both of us hard, so you donʼt have to blame Yiʼer for not telling you guys.” They immediately turned to Zhang Chen. ”Moreover, Feiʼer is his murderer, so we donʼt want to talk about this matter anymore.”

Both of them stiffened after hearing Zhang Chenʼs answer, but Qing Tan then, with a trembling voice, asked her. ”Are... you serious, Aunt Chen? Why... did Feiʼer kill his big brother?”

”Letʼs go; Iʼll explain everything to you two.” As they continued their journey to the back garden, Zhang Chen told them about the matter between Zhang Fei and Zhang He.

Qing Tan was truly sad after she heard that Zhang He intended to kill his little brother, but she knew that he had always been jealous of Zhang Fei, and he even snatched Chen Xin from him.

”Thatʼs good because heʼs dead now.” Qing Tan turned to her son with a sharp glare, but Quan Xun ignored his mother and continued. ”Since a long time ago, I have never liked Zhang He, especially since he was always arrogant and bullied Cousin Fei. Besides, Cousin Yue was always good to him, but he and that bitch, Chen Xin, actually framed them, which made them separated for quite a long time.”

”You-”

Qing Yi promptly stopped her little sister. ”Tanʼer, you donʼt need to scold Xunʼer because his words are true, and this matter happened because of Heʼerʼs arrogance and greed. Honestly, Iʼm sad about his death, but Iʼve started to accept it.

Moreover, our lives are different now, and there are so many new things waiting for us in the future, so I donʼt want to keep looking back at the past and focus on our future instead.”

Before long, they had arrived at the back garden, so Zhang Chen and Qing Yi took them into the formation before explaining how to absorb Qi from the air, and they asked the two to try it after they more or less understood it.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei was explaining the function of the device in the center of the room to Liu Qingyu and the others, which amazed them, especially the gravity feature. Despite this, they still harbored many questions about Zhang Fei, particularly because all the things he had ever given and shown them were too mysterious for anyone else to possess.

Zhang Lin then hugged his arm as she asked. ”Big brother! What if you activate it now? That way, we can experience the effects for ourselves, and our movements can be faster than those of other cultivators.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed at his little sisterʼs impatience and then pinched her nose. ”Linʼer, two times gravity is really tough, and Iʼve tried it myself before. Regrettably, Iʼm still struggling to adapt completely, and Iʼm sure that the pressure will overwhelm you, Big Sis, Qingʼer, and Yingʼer.

However, Qingyu, Huaʼer, and the Wen Twins are stronger than us, so they might be able to adapt to the gravity pressure faster.”

”I know that, but I still want to try it.” Zhang Lin said it while pouting her lips.

Chu Ying then spoke to him as well. ”I myself am aware of my limits, but I agree with Linʼer. I want to train using the gravity feature so I can be stronger and faster, and I donʼt have to depend on you or the others.”

”Me too!” As she raised her hand, Chu Qing said this.

”What do you two think?” Zhang Fei questioned the Liu Sisters.

”I donʼt think itʼs a big deal, Feiʼer.” Liu Hua agreed with her big sister, as she herself was actually not that confident to overcome the pressure of two times gravity, and Liu Qingyu then continued. ”At first, everyone will find it difficult to experience new things, but our bodies will always adapt to them.

We may struggle for now, but we can only improve if we successfully overcome the obstacles in front of us, so you can activate it. Even so, I wonʼt train here for now because I have to look after our clan, and I also have to protect Aunt Chen and the others, so you can send me out now.”

”You guys, get ready because I will turn on the gravity feature now, and Iʼll take Qingyu out of this place after that.” Liu Hua and the others looked at Zhang Fei questioningly, thinking that he would train with them, so he directly explained it to them.

”I plan to go to the Central Region to do something, but I wonʼt stay there and go straight back to the Diyu Realm afterward, so Iʼll join you guys after I get there.”

After they agreed, Zhang Fei took Liu Qingyu out of that place, but he didnʼt go straight to the central region, and he dual-cultivated with her first because they both missed each other. Even so, they didnʼt do it for too long, especially since she was overwhelmed by his wildness and quickly became exhausted.

After that, Zhang Fei first traveled to the Heavenly Sword Sect, recording its location in his warp portal before proceeding to the Central Region. Since the region was too far away, he was forced to use the Nine Cloud Steps again and again, and he also swallowed several high-grade qi recovery pills to overcome his qi deficiency.

After he arrived in the Central Region, Zhang Fei went straight to the Blazing Phoenix Sect and saved the sectʼs location. However, he did not meet Zhang Lingxue, as she was busy preparing for her sectʼs internal competition, and Zhao Ziqin was also diligently cultivating in her room. Therefore, he decided to return to the Diyu Realm and headed directly towards the Dryad Forest.

”Where have you been, Fei? Did you take them away to the Sky Jade Realm?” Janette, who was talking to her mother, immediately asked when Zhang Fei appeared in front of them.

”Yes, I just came back from the Sky Jade Realm.” Zhang Fei then turned to Lillia. ”Can I ask you for one thing?”

Lillea nodded at Zhang Fei. ”My daughter has told me about her relationship with you; you are now part of our race, and I will definitely help you if I can.”

”I want to kiss you now.” Janette and Lillea frowned after hearing that, but Zhang Fei quickly explained his purpose to them. ”Thatʼs why I want to mimic your plant manipulation because it will be very useful for me, but I can only do it if I kiss you, so I hope you can fulfill my request.”

Lillea did not immediately give her consent, and she suspiciously asked Zhang Fei. ”How could you know that I have that kind of ability? Moreover, a lust demon shouldnʼt have the ability to mimic another demonʼs ability, so Iʼm really curious about that.”

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei chuckled at that. ”Have you ever met anyone like me before? I am a human, a fox, and a lust demon, remember? Other lust demons may not be able to do it, but I am different from them, and I have mimicked Janetteʼs tree control before.”

Lillea released a soft sigh before agreeing to Zhang Feiʼs request. ”All right, you can kiss me to mimic my plant manipulation.”

After obtaining her consent, Zhang Fei stood in front of Lillea and cupped her cheeks before kissing her, but he only gave her a light kiss while mimicking her plant manipulation.

Upon receiving the notification, Zhang Fei immediately parted their lips and expressed gratitude. ”Thank you, Lillea. This way, I can do something about the herbs in that deserted valley, which will be very useful for me and my family.”

”Itʼs okay; itʼs just a kiss, so you donʼt need to thank me.”

Janette suddenly asked him. ”Fei, could you teach my mother to become a cultivator? If she becomes a demon cultivator like me, then her strength will increase even more, and we can protect our kin from attacks by the armies of those rulers.”

”Sure.” After all, Zhang Fei himself was interested in getting Lillea, so he immediately agreed to Janetteʼs request, and he took out the portable mansion. ”You can take your mother inside and teach her cultivation, and I will practice together with the others for now.”

Janette excitedly pulled her mother into the portable mansion, and Zhang Fei himself immediately returned to the training space to train with his other wives, particularly since he wanted to adapt to the two-time gravity sooner.

[Status: Done]

[Reward: 2,000 red jewels sent to inventory]

Zhang Fei [1], who had just finished the daily quest, immediately opened his eyes. However, he felt someoneʼs presence in front of his bedroom door, so he opened it and pulled Xia Qianqian, who was standing there inside. ”Have you finished taking care of them?”

”Yes, I just finished taking care of them, so I came to you to fulfill my promise.” Xia Qianqian answered with a red face and a pounding heart, but she then glanced at Luo Yu and Gu Yan, who were still in deep cultivation. ”Are we going to do it here?”

”Are you ashamed of them?” Xia Qianqian nodded at Zhang Fei [1]. ”They are my partners, and you will also be my partners after this, so you donʼt need to feel embarrassed towards them. Instead, I will teach you some interesting things that you never knew before, and I dare to guarantee that you will like them. Anyway, why did you decide to become a dual cultivator?

Was Xia Leng the one who took your virginity? I heard that he was overprotective of you, and there were a lot of rumors circulating about the relationship between the two of you.”

Xia Qianqian smiled bitterly upon hearing that, as she herself had heard about them too many times. ”Brother, the rumors about our relationship are false, so donʼt believe them. Big Brother is indeed overprotective of me, but we donʼt have that kind of relationship. In fact, the person who took my virginity was my childhood friend, and he had previously been a disciple of our sect.

However, the sect expelled him, and he moved to the eastern region, leaving me with no further news about him.

Zhang Fei [1] just nodded and ignored it outright, as he didnʼt think much about it. ”Shall we start now?”
