Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1886: Chapter 1888: Loving Couple

After returning from the bustling flower market, Cheng Su and the others all had their share of purchases. Following local customs, they bought some fresh flowers and an orange tree symbolizing good fortune and brought them home to display. As they were about to enter the house, a neighbor heard the commotion and came out, bringing them a platter of homemade fried snacks for the new year.

Qi Xiaoqi had already tired himself out and fallen asleep. Cheng Su told Qi Taiguo to put him in the small bed in the room, and she advised her already exhausted in-laws to wash up and rest.

The house has three rooms, not very big. With everyone staying over for the new year, they had to squeeze in. Qi Jianguo and Qi Fengping were grown-ups and couldn’t share a room, so for these couple of days, it was fathers and sons, mothers and daughters sleeping separately.

Therefore, Cheng Su felt that even if Qi Xiaoqi could remember this, there was no other choice during the festive season. They could only buy a small bed and place it in the room so he could sleep by himself.

After washing up, Qi Taiguo was already waiting for her in bed. Cheng Su felt her face heat up, feeling slightly uneasy.

Moving to the dressing table to apply some lotion before getting into bed, Qi Taiguo pulled her over, causing Cheng Su to fall right onto him.

”Can’t you be a bit gentle?” Cheng Su glared at him, thinking what a rough guy he was.

Qi Taiguo laughed and whispered in her ear, ”Soon, you’ll have to get to the main point.”

”How annoying!” Cheng Su pouted towards the direction of the small bed, saying, ”Be careful he wakes up.”

Qi Taiguo glanced over, looking a bit green, then said, ”Don’t worry, I just checked. He’s sleeping like a log.”

Bold words, a bit inappropriate.

Cheng Su immediately pinched him unceremoniously on the waist, saying, ”It’s the New Year and you’re talking rubbish? Can’t you speak properly?”

”Ouch, my foul mouth deserves a spanking. Deserves a spanking,” Qi Taiguo patted his mouth twice, and with a smiling face admitted fault, ”Wife, I’m wrong!”

Cheng Su snorted, lay down, and before she could say anything, Qi Taiguo pressed down onto her.

”Oh dear, you’re so heavy,” Cheng Su pushed him.

Qi Taiguo propped himself up and looked at her, saying, ”To deeply understand my mistake, wife, tonight I will thoroughly scrutinize my error!”

Cheng Su’s mouth twitched. There was a hint of something in his words—who taught him this? But seeing his high spirits, she cooperated, raising an eyebrow, asking, ”Oh, how will you self-reflect?”

”Like this!” Qi Taiguo pulled the blanket over them.

”The light.”

A hand emerged, fumbling around until it finally found the switch at the bedside, turning it off, and the room went pitch black.

In the quiet room, there was the faint sound of shuffling and constrained sounds coming from under the blanket.

”Qi Taiguo...”

Suddenly, from the direction of the small bed, a tiny sound was heard, startling both of them into stillness.

Although it was just a small sound, Cheng Su instinctively felt frightened and shrank back, and Qi Taiguo couldn’t restrain himself either, surrendering unconditionally.

The small bed didn’t make any more noise, but on the large bed, the couple looked at each other in confusion in the dark and suddenly burst into laughter.

Cheng Su gave him a punch, while Qi Taiguo chuckled helplessly. Even though they were a legitimate couple, why did it feel like they were doing something clandestine?

”I want to change to a big house,” Cheng Su ground her teeth.

Oh heavens, this feeling is too frustrating. If this happened a few more times, she wouldn’t have many years left. She needed to earn lots of money to buy a big house, with good soundproofing so she could do whatever she wanted, and shout as loudly as she pleased.

Qi Taiguo looked at her gritted teeth expression and couldn’t help but burst into laughter, which earned him two sharp glances and a few pinches from Cheng Su.

His wife was indeed a treasure!
