Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1868: Chapter 1870: Dropping More Hints

Sitting on a chair in the airport terminal, Cheng Su watched the people coming and going and listened to the airport announcements, sighing heavily.

”Alright, how many times have you sighed already? If it weren’t winter and the leaves had already fallen, you probably could have sighed a leaf off the tree,” Ning Ge said.

”Look, all these people coming and going, how many of them are truly happy on their faces, but who’s not seriously living their lives? Why do some people just not cherish it?” Cheng Su said.

Seeing her gloomy look, Ning Ge couldn’t bear it, reached out to push her head lightly, and said, ”Stop lamenting over the seasons. Autumn has long passed. Stop worrying about others, just live your own life seriously!”

Mentioning her son, Cheng Suxin felt a stir in her heart, glanced at him, flipped her hair, and said, ”Speaking of, the New Year is just a few days away, another year has passed. You’re not exactly young yourself this year, are you?”

Ning Ge chuckled and said, ”Just turned thirty, young and promising, it’s a good time.”

Cheng Su said, ”They say by thirty, it’s time to settle down. Well, about Song Jiaying...”

Ning Ge frowned, ”Why suddenly bring her up?”

”Isn’t it because the New Year is coming? Haven’t you gone to see her?” Cheng Su asked.

”Why go see her? If she wants to appear, she’ll appear. Need I look for her?” Ning Ge huffed.

”You...” Cheng Su raised her fist, nearly about to punch.

”What are you doing? Why are you so excited?” Ning Ge looked utterly confused.

Cheng Su said irritably, ”I’m excited, I almost...” She paused and said, ”I mean, don’t you like her? If you like her, why not go after her?”

”Who likes her!” Ning Ge lifted his chin, looking a bit awkward.

”Stop pretending. You know very well what’s in your own heart,” Cheng Su poked at his chest and said, ”Live according to your heart, got it? Don’t wait for regret before you realize.”

Ning Ge swatted her hand away and said, ”What’s gotten into you? Acting all mysterious, what got into you?”

Really baffling, can’t say things directly, has to play this guessing game.

”As a friend, I don’t want you to always be a stinky single dog, barking all the time, so I’m telling you to settle down soon,” Cheng Su rolled her eyes.

”Hey, hey, don’t go with personal attacks, at most I’m a single nobleman, a diamond bachelor, not the barking you mentioned,” Ning Ge shook his sleeves.

Cheng Su was about to say something when the broadcast reminded them of the flight, and she checked the time, realizing it was time to go through security and prepare to board. She stood up and said, ”I won’t say more, anyway, it’s New Year, Song Jiaying is bound to come home for the New Year, right? If you have time, go to the Song family, see if you can run into her, or ask your sister to find out. At least get in touch with her, right?”

”Alright, alright, I know what I’m doing, it’s time to board, go through security!” Ning Ge urged impatiently.

Seeing his attitude, Cheng Su knew he didn’t take it to heart and said, ”There’ll be a day when you regret it, I’m leaving.” Forget it, this kid doesn’t understand human speech, she hinted so much, and still won’t take it to heart, he must be taught a lesson.

Ning Ge waved his hand, hands in his pockets, watched her leave, and until she passed security, still shouted reminders to go find someone at the Song family, chuckled, turned to leave, took a few steps, then stopped and looked back, muttering to himself, ”Strange, why’s she suddenly so concerned?”
