Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 186: A double farewell

The last day before the «Reset» was quiet.

Idan and Arabel patiently answered Milica and Lucindaʼs questions about Esme, satisfying their curiosity.

Thanks to Geminiaʼs efforts, no one was able to enter the middle layer of the Forbidden Zone, and the group was able to relax, socialize, and plan their next actions.

All the participants offered Nemo their advice, which, in their opinion, would be useful to him when he leaves Limbo.

Nemo and Izzy listened carefully to these tips. Especially Izzy, who hadnʼt let Sierra or Lucinda know about her all this time. The others, considering this, did not mention her or reveal her presence.

The couple wondered why Izzy avoided the other Valkyries, but respecting Izzyʼs wishes, they remained silent.

The next morning, the process of restoring Esmaʼs partial new essence was completed, and Arabel, summoning her, saw what she looked like: weak and sluggish. At first, she was a little disoriented and didnʼt know where she was, but she gradually came to her senses.

The limitation of her power and the severing of two bonds at once had a strong effect on Esma. At the same time, she felt like her very nature had changed a bit.

Arabel, on the other hand, gained several unexpected advantages due to her connection with Esma. Firstly, her water elemental skills had reached the peak of the second level and were close to reaching the third. With a little practice, Arabel was confident that she could raise them to the third level.

But the most amazing thing is, thanks to the contract, Arabel and Idan found out Esma and Esmariʼs little secret, which radically changed their attitude towards Esma. Now they understood why she was so strange and so passionate about making these strange potions. However, apparently, Esma herself does not attach much importance to this or is not even aware of it.

Before the Reset, everyone gathered at the Temple. Before that, they had only seen him from afar.

Nemo, for some reason, did not want to visit this place, claiming that there was nothing inside except a huge empty space, a mysterious door and two pedestals.

As it turned out, Nemo was right. The space inside the Temple was significantly larger than its exterior. Nemo didnʼt know how to use this space, and after a bit of thought, he asked Milica and Eulalia to decide what to do with this space. Both happily agreed, as they already had some ideas.

As for the mysterious door, at first glance it looked like a double-leaf sliding door with bizarre slits and unknown writing. When they tried to open it out of curiosity, it easily gave way and opened, revealing a simple through passage.

Everyone was surprised and realized that a ”key” was needed to open the passage leading beyond Limbo.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Idan and Arabel were eyeing the mysterious door, wondering whether to set their Anchor directly on it or not, so that when they «Reset», their Anchor would follow the Temple. This door and the pedestals were perfect for that.

After thinking about it, the couple decided that the door would be better suited than these two pedestals, because the door was much more important and would always be inside the Temple.

With just a simple command, the System set up an ”Anchor”, and if desired and possible, Idan and Arabel could already appear inside the Temple in Limbo.

After examining the Temple and, as Nemo said, finding nothing else unusual, everyone waited for the «Reset».

When it came, everyone discovered with some disappointment that the process was no different from how they experienced a ”Reset” inside the cities.

A large dome appeared around the entire clearing where the Temple was located, similar to those that appeared around the three cities. Everything outside the dome was plunged into darkness, and soon everything gathered again, revealing a completely new picture.

A dense forest grew up around the clearing, not much different from the previous one. Only the internal structure of the Forest of Doppelgangers and its location have changed.

No one began to guess where exactly the Forest of Doppelgangers appeared. All their attention was focused on Nemo, who was about to leave Limbo and join Junonia immediately after the «Reset».

”Kitty!” called Nemo, and the little beast, hearing him, instantly transformed into Nemoʼs right hand.

Everyone around watched this amazing transformation with admiration. As Nemo explained, he and Kitty acquired this ability after studying the second volume of the Manual to the ”Path of the Beast Tamer”.

Without this ability, they would not have been able to achieve such high coordination and communication. Thanks to Kittyʼs amazing ability, she became a perfect replica of Nemoʼs hand, as if it were an integral part of his body. Even the feelings conveyed through it were the same as with a real hand.

Three circles of different sizes appeared on the back of Nemoʼs hand, consisting of mysterious symbols. All three circles rotated continuously.

The symbols on the circles were similar to those on the mysterious door.

Nemo, having received information about the key, already knew the right combination of the code. He used his Soul Force to touch the right symbols in the right sequence. As soon as he touched the last symbol, all the others lit up, separated from their circles and Nemoʼs palm, and then formed a completely new circle in front of his palm.

Holding this circle in front of him, Nemo touched the door with it, and the same symbols lit up on the door and began to move along it, forming the same circle. As soon as the circle was assembled, it began to spin and opened the door in front of everyone, inside which appeared a black passage that was supposed to lead beyond Limbo.

Nemo learned from the crystal that the passage would only be open for about a minute and could only carry someone who had a key.

”Well, Iʼm off!” Nemo said to everyone, using a mental link.

”Good luck, Nemo, and come back as soon as you can! We will be waiting for you with good news!” wished Milica. The others just nodded, agreeing with her words.

After looking around at everyone once more and stopping at Idan, he nodded and stepped inside, leaving Limbo.

As soon as Nemo disappeared into the passage, the passage immediately closed, the door slammed shut, and the symbols stopped glowing, returning to their original positions.

[Ding! The task ”Explore the world and find a way to leave it before the Hostsʼ bodies fully adapt to this force!” has been successfully completed!]

[Ding! The countdown to returning back to your home world begins!]

As soon as the system said these words, the old timer that counted down to the end of the task disappeared. Instead, there is a new timer with a 10-minute countdown.

”Phew!” gasped Idan and looked at Arabel. She returned his gaze, and then they both turned to the others.

”Well, I think itʼs time for us to say goodbye!” said Idan, attracting everyoneʼs attention.

Everyone already knew that after Nemoʼs departure from Limbo, the couple would return to their own world, and they were ready for it.

”Are you sure?” — Milica asked Idan and Arabel, and they just nodded, confirming their words.

”We already felt the pull as soon as Nemo left Limbo, and in a few minutes we will be forcibly teleported away!” explained Arabel, without revealing the existence of the system.

Everyone had a complex range of emotions on their faces as they looked at the couple.

”Esma!” — Arabel called out, and she understood her intentions and nodded. Arabel brought her back to her Star.

Everyone was surprised by this magic again, still not used to such things.

”Weʼre not saying goodbye!” said Idan.

”Weʼll be back as soon as we get a chance!” added Arabel.

The others just nodded, completely trusting their words.

”Donʼt worry, big sister, I havenʼt forgotten about our deal and I promise that I will definitely fulfill my part in the future!” Arabel said with sincerity in her voice, addressing Sierra, which pleasantly surprised her.

”I believe your words, little sister!” replied Sierra with a faint smile on her face.

Idan, addressing Milica and Eulalia, said with confidence:

”Master, Senior, be careful and donʼt take too many risks when you explore the remaining Forbidden Zones. Weʼll join you as soon as we can, so take your time and donʼt try to go through everything without us!”

Idan words brought smiles to their faces.

”Okay!” they replied in unison.

”And finally, we hope that we have created a good impression for you about the inhabitants of our world. However, we want to warn you: be careful if you meet other people from our world. Like yours, our world has its drawbacks, and you can meet different people here, not always good ones. Therefore, I cannot say that only good people can get here!”

The timer had almost stopped, and Idan decided that before teleporting, he needed to warn his new acquaintances, who had become very close to them, to be careful with people like them.

After all, neither Idan nor Arabel yet knew what their system was leading to.

There were many words that wanted to be said on both sides, but no one said a word. Everyone hoped that this would not be the last meeting, and that soon they would meet again and, perhaps, together they would solve the mysteries of this world.

When the timer ended, the space around Idan and Arabel began to twist and tear. The circle-shaped rift grew in size as it rotated until it reached about three meters in diameter, creating a portal leading back to their homeworld.

A pulling force that only affected Idan and Arabel burst out of the portal. Realizing that they were about to be sucked into the portal, Idan and Arabel simultaneously held hands and squeezed them tightly so as not to be separated during the teleportation.

They looked at the others at the same time and said:

— See you soon! And with that, they were both sucked into the rift.

As soon as they disappeared, the rift began to shrink rapidly and soon disappeared completely. The group stood in silence, looking at the place where the couple had disappeared.

”Eh...” Eulalia exhaled and finally said: ”I miss the three of them already!”

Everyone nodded, agreeing with her words.
