Chapter 906: Chapter 150: Dawn of the Living Dead (4)

Song Haoran’s reunion with Song Ying’s group occurred without danger, as they also discovered that these zombies seemed to be attracted by something.

The second fainting of ‘Luo Qiu’ was something Song Haoran couldn’t afford to pay attention to at this moment. The priority was to ensure everyone left the hospital safely and then completely sealed it off.

Although zombies are terrifying, they are not impossible to deal with — at least along the way, Song Haoran himself had already killed four zombies.

After meeting up with Song Ying’s group, Song Haoran quickly reunited them with Old Master Song and several others.

Mr. Blind’s Cold Light Bronze Sword had long disappeared without a trace; he could only silently observe the movement of these zombies after they gathered.

“What exactly is… happening?”

The third-floor overhead layer of the hospital building was where the entire Song family gathered. At this moment, Song Tianyou, Song Da, and others were both shocked and scared as they looked below — the parking area at the hospital entrance was the final destination for all the zombies.

Somehow, a ‘tree’ appeared here… something that could barely be described as a ‘tree’.

Now it stood seven or eight meters tall, entirely black, with branches growing at the top… but it was formed by the fusion of many zombies.

At this moment, the slowly moving zombies approached this ‘tree’ one by one and merged their bodies into the ‘trunk’ of this ‘tree’.

Their flesh, their bones, their faces were buried into the body of this ‘tree’, entwining with each other as if becoming a nutrient, making this ‘tree’ grow even taller.

The ‘tree’ had no leaves, but now slowly at the ends of the branches, one after another things resembling fruit emerged, continuously expanding like balloons, as if they would burst open any second.

At this moment, Mr. Blind’s face turned extremely grave. Suddenly his fingers formed a sword shape, and he waved forward; a cold light instantly shot from his body, directly towards the ‘trunk’ of this ‘tree’.

However, when the cold light struck the ‘tree’, it was as if it had hit solid alloy, immediately deflecting… The cold light roamed around in the air for a few turns, continuously shooting at the ‘trunk’ and branches of the ‘tree’, but ultimately couldn’t even cut down the ‘fruit’.

Its hardness was shocking; finally, the cold light slowly returned to Mr. Blind’s side, turning into a Bronze Ancient Sword, held in his hand.

Mr. Blind frowned and said, “Old Master Song, my mind won’t stop resonating; I’m afraid a great disaster is looming. The fruit on this ‘tree’ may be the source of the disaster.”

As he spoke, those gray-black fruits suddenly stopped swelling and gradually deformed… turning into a shape resembling flower buds.

Only then did everyone realize that what’s grown wasn’t fruit at all, but huge flower globes!

“They’re intending to bloom!” Song Haoran’s heart moved, shouting in surprise.

Blind Mr. then opened his eyes in confusion — his eyes were completely murky, without pupils, as if the pupils had been utterly dispersed within the eyeballs, instilling fear in people’s hearts.

He spoke hastily, “This monster tree is condensed from the zombies’ essence, and these flowers have absorbed their essence to grow. I have a premonition that when these flowers finally bloom, they… might spread in another way.”

Everyone cleverly focused on Mr. Blind, subconsciously following this line of thought… if not only through biting, but also able to spread through the air.

“That’s just my worst prediction.” Mr. Blind shook his head at this moment, but there was not a trace of ease, “But regardless, we absolutely must not let this monster tree keep growing!”

Mr. Blind finished speaking and directly jumped out, landing in front of this monster tree, and faced the zombies continuously coming, wanting to become the nutrients of this monster tree, raising the Bronze Ancient Sword in his hand.

Suddenly the sword light grew strong, Mr. Blind wandered around the monster tree, slaughtering the zombies coming one by one.

“Ah Er, Ah San, let’s go down and help the blind man!” Song Da shouted loudly at this time.

For them, truly entered martial artists, the height of the third floor was not a bit challenging; within moments, the Song Big Three Brothers had started wandering around the edges, reducing Mr. Blind’s workload.

The remaining people couldn’t help much, only using handguns to shoot those slipped-away fish, laying out a not very dense fire net.

Just watching the flower buds on this monster tree, now still growing slowly, the speed didn’t seem to have slowed much.

“Fifth Elder, prepare for evacuation, we must make worst-case plans.” Song Tianyou decisively instructed at this moment.

Uncle Wu nodded and began to make a series of arrangements with the phone.

…

…

Her body did not feel the slightest discomfort, even her instincts did not produce aversion, instead a strong impulse surged, making Zhong Luoyue feel just like this… or take a step further.

She didn’t know where this impact came from, only knew that at this moment, he seemed to scoop up her soul from the vast ocean, holding it gently in the palm, touching the softest spot in her heart, mastering all of her.

Without love, it was something even more clingy than love.

Suddenly, Luo Qiu’s palm began to merge into Zhong Luoyue’s body; at this moment, Zhong Luoyue felt unprecedented pain.

She wanted to scream, but the sound couldn’t be conveyed… the palm was deep into not just her body, but her mind, as if trying to pluck the only fruit growing in the ocean of thoughts.

Finally, it grasped the forbidden fruit in the ocean of thoughts; Zhong Luoyue only felt her consciousness instantly turned completely blank, her thinking stopped at this moment.

Luo Qiu’s palm remained inside Zhong Luoyue’s body, but she seemed to have become an empty shell.

He closed his eyes to feel, but his vision was clearer than when his eyes were open; he could ‘see’ the tender light held in his palm, just needing to bring his hand back, he could pick that beautiful light.

The strong, confident, most beautiful and charming light belonging to Zhong Luoyue.

Finally, Luo Qiu’s hand slowly withdrew from Zhong Luoyue’s body; between his fingers, a ball of shimmering light was bouncing, seemingly afraid, like a cub just lost its parental protection, incredibly scared of the unfamiliar environment.

But at this moment, when the ball of light was about to leave Zhong Luoyue’s body, Luo Qiu’s palm suddenly opened, yet he pushed it back into Zhong Luoyue’s body.

Zhong Luoyue’s gaze suddenly became agile and she fainted onto the ground… Queen Elizabeth motionless. Luo Qiu ignored her, only silently watched his palm.

He paused for a moment, slowly exhaled, and softly said, “Finally, I know what this familiar power is…”

At this moment, wisps of gray-black smoke were seeping out from Luo Qiu’s body, moving, gathering… gathering behind him, gradually forming a shadow.

And the shadow was still taking shape when Luo Qiu turned around and saw another version of himself.

The skin was slightly darker, or rather grayish… aside from that, every part of it was identical to himself.

Luo Qiu stared at it for a moment before speaking, “Should I call you… Black?”

It also responded with movement, its demeanor more agile, a mocking smile appearing on its face, “Classifying all things bad, opposing, or even disliked as black, tsk tsk tsk, such foolish habitual thinking.”

Luo Qiu said calmly, “If I called you Black Luo Qiu, I wouldn’t be very pleased.”

“Black and white, if I am black, then you are White Luo Qiu, which I quite enjoy.” Its smile became even more sinister.

Luo Qiu was silent for a while, then his gaze turned to another side, through the walls, through every obstacle, seeing the people struggling to prevent the zombies from approaching a strange, gigantic plant, and suddenly asked, “Airborne transmission?”

“Just slightly altered some of their characteristics.” Black… Black Luo Qiu chuckled lightly, “Don’t you think relying solely on biting for transmission is too inefficient? By the way, this isn’t my doing, but rather yours… using your own powers.”

“Explain.” Luo Qiu said calmly.

It smirked wickedly, “I’m not a product of the club, I am your creation… but I believe I should rather replace you and exist. Simply put, I’ve always been suppressed, part of all your emotions… originally, I fear I would never have had the chance to appear. Both you and I know, as long as you work there, it won’t allow us to have more emotions. However, this repression has always lingered in your heart, your unwillingness, your anger, even your despair, ultimately gave birth to me. Yet, I still couldn’t come out.”

“This vacation?” Luo Qiu suddenly mused.

“Yes, this vacation.” Black Luo Qiu sneered, “What a foolish move… but I really enjoy it. Especially You Ye, she is truly amazing, she even prolonged this vacation time. Ah… how should I cherish her? I really want to dig out her soul.”

Luo Qiu suddenly rubbed his brow, looking somewhat pained, sighed and said, “To be honest, this situation is quite bad… I somewhat feel a sense of shame seeing myself in such an edgy way.”

“You are being too bound by convention!” Black Luo Qiu spread its arms, “Having the club means you possess supreme power, as long as you can sacrifice, you are almost omnipotent! Why not follow your whims? You can obtain whatever you want with ease, why so much hassle? This world, should have been yours… no, should have been mine! I can become the world’s master! My will shall be the will of all things in this world… this world, I want it to live, it lives, I want it to die, it dies! I—supreme!”

Luo Qiu gently rubbed his forehead, “So you influenced me, subtly controlling the changes in these zombies?”

“Let’s say your power was too handy!” Black Luo Qiu’s eyes glowed with fanaticism, “Just a trace! Just a slight nudge of a trace that even you couldn’t perceive, I had already changed the life structure of these zombies! See those flowers? When they bloom, countless pollen will spread with the wind, sending the whole world into panic in no time… countless people will be willing to offer everything to survive! I create a new order! How wonderful this all is!”

“With a new order established, what comes next?” Luo Qiu suddenly asked.

Black Luo Qiu sneered coldly, “I shall be the master of the world, whatever I desire, I shall have, no one can defy my will!”

“After you become the master of the world… what then?” Luo Qiu continued to ask.

“Isn’t it obvious what follows? All things follow my will, anytime I can be happy, I can have everything at my whim, as long as I’m willing, I can play through all of life, do you think I would get bored and lonely because of this? You’re too naive! I can make those I like accompany me eternally! They will accompany me forever! And never will defy my will!”

“What about after that?” Luo Qiu still asked calmly.

“Do you think you can influence me? Naive! Naive! Naive!!” Black Luo Qiu suddenly charged forward, grabbing Luo Qiu by the lapel and lifting him up, “Naive! Foolish!!”

“What about after that? You haven’t answered me yet.” Luo Qiu said calmly.

Black Luo Qiu grabbed Luo Qiu before him, glaring ferociously, “I am the truest reflection in your heart, don’t you understand? Naive one, don’t make futile struggles!!”

Luo Qiu shook his head, “You still can’t convince me… why do all your words sound so uninteresting in the end.”

“Interesting or not, you’ll know if you try it… come on! Let me dominate you!!”

Black Luo Qiu suddenly dispersed, turning into billowing black smoke, pouring into Luo Qiu’s body… after everything had flowed in, Luo Qiu closed his eyes.

When he reopened his eyes, a sinister smile appeared on Luo Qiu’s face.

But ‘his’ smile immediately froze, ‘his’ body seemed to be out of control, and a hand slowly started to rise.

‘He’ panicked as he tried using his other hand to suppress the rising hand.

However, no matter how ‘he’ tried to organize, at this moment, a dense black mist began to seep from Luo Qiu’s body and gather in the palm.

‘He’ crazily exclaimed, “I will not disappear! As long as you intend to maintain your humanity, I will not disap… so much nonsense.”

Luo Qiu’s expression had returned to calm, with only the black orb of light suspended in his palm.

Luo Qiu’s hand began to close, compressing the black orb… only when it had almost been compressed to a tiny point did it start to tremble madly as though making its last stand.

Even Luo Qiu’s hand seemed unable to close, locked in a stalemate.

But Luo Qiu suddenly said, “By the way, if you appear again, it’s not because I let you take advantage, but because I was bored, just like this time. If my subconscious doesn’t intend this, yet helps you out, do you think you can come out? I’m just on vacation, it’s not…”

It instantly ceased its struggle, as if feeling some kind of despair.

Luo Qiu’s hand suddenly formed a fist, thoroughly scattering the black essence. He exhaled slowly, then looked around, Zhong Luoyue was still unconscious, while Queen Elizabeth was still in a state of distraction.

“Black history.” Luo Qiu shook his head, muttering, “All the agitation and anxiety have been vented, emotions should stabilize soon… I can continue my vacation for a while. The effect is adequate…”

But in that moment, a voice resonated in Luo Qiu’s mind.

Only he could hear it, and he wasn’t sure if it was something he imagined or if it truly existed… the voice of that mysterious altar from the club.

“Congratulations to the club owner for successfully toying with himself, club owner privilege upgraded, Border Gate functionality enhanced, added option for multiverse descent coordinates…”

Luo Qiu paused, blinking his eyes.

Successfully toying with himself… what kind of nonsense is this???
