Chapter 884: Chapter 128: Forget Worry, Three Lives (11)

Xitacil was a seventh-generation bloodsucker, and within the Fernandis Family, the highest bloodline belonged to the previous generation of Baron Fernandis, who was hanged to death. He was a fifth-generation bloodsucker.

The power of the previous generation is stronger than that of the next, giving the progenitors a strong dominance over their progeny. This is almost a natural law in the Vampire World.

Karen is a bloodsucker of the same generation as Xitacil, so Tu Shenyi is considered an eighth-generation bloodsucker.

Among the bloodsuckers, different generations have different variations. For instance, the Takizawa Clan’s transformed bloodsuckers… Strictly speaking, they should be called blood monsters. Their generations may be lower, but their power is not calculated by generation.

In addition, bloodsuckers will develop unique superpowers of their own. The effects of different superpowers in combat naturally vary—so, unless they belong to similar lines, it’s difficult to determine the strength and weakness between bloodsuckers.

Unless, the bloodsuckers evolve to the third generation, which is at the level of the clan leaders of the Thirteen Clans, also known as Blood Princes.

Third-generation Blood Princes, regardless of the clan, whether transformed or wild, have power strong enough to suppress bloodsuckers below the third generation—this is the unyielding iron law in the Vampire Species.

Among lower-generation bloodsuckers, there’s also a situation where the descendant ‘devours’ their progenitor, receiving the blood ties and breaking through the long accumulation of time to advance to a higher generation.

Karen and Xitacil once knew each other, and they can be counted as belonging to similar factions, so Xitacil can say that Tu Shenyi shouldn’t have such powerful strength now.

“Although I don’t know whether you ‘devoured’ Karen or gained temporary strength through other methods.” Xitacil shook his head, his gaze slightly cold, “But as a junior, you should have the etiquette of a junior. Tu Shenyi, you’re being far too unruly.”

As he spoke, Xitacil transformed into a shimmer of light, appearing in front of Tu Shenyi.

He did not fear Tu Shenyi’s suddenly enhanced power… Although being a seventh-generation bloodsucker doesn’t sound high, most of those who roam the world are sixth or seventh-generation Blood Ghosts.

Fifth generation and above are some ancient relics, either in slumber or stationed at bases, taking on the important responsibility of protecting their clansmen, rarely appearing easily.

It’s not like encountering every fellow like Luo Qiu, whose strength leaves him with no chance to counterattack.

In an instant, when he flashed to Tu Shenyi’s front, Xitacil already swung his Blood Whip. However, Xitacil was shocked the next moment… Tu Shenyi acted faster than he did, even effortlessly!

Easily grabbing Xitacil’s wrist, preventing the Blood Whip from unleashing its full power.

Tu Shenyi caught Xitacil’s wrist, immediately lifted him up, swung him around, and slammed him into the ground!

Xitacil’s entire back collided with the floor, creating a large crack, as he stared blankly at the ceiling, with an expression contemplating life.

At the same time, a few short swords made of blood light suddenly shot down from the air, pinning Xitacil’s hands and feet, completely immobilizing him.

Ah—!

Xitacil let out a painful scream—of course, such injury wouldn’t take the life of a bloodsucker. But the pain wouldn’t disappear!

Tu Shenyi leisurely circled around Xitacil and calmly said, “Xitacil, have you been a Dark Merchant for so long that you’ve forgotten how to fight?.”

“Tu Shenyi!!” Xitacil appeared furious, showing sharp fangs, clenching his fists, trying to struggle free from the restraints of the Blood Swords.

“Much of a bloodsucker’s power comes from anger; now you do know how to get angry.” Tu Shenyi shook his head, “It’s a pity you’ve been living too comfortably for too long; your body is rusted.”

Raging blood energy erupted from Xitacil, dispersing like hot steam, causing a violent gale at the front of the laboratory.

Tu Shenyi just shook his head, and with a wave, another giant Blood-colored Longsword appeared out of nowhere, this time aiming straight for Xitacil’s heart.

For a bloodsucker, the weakness lies in the source of their power, the heart—when the Blood-colored Longsword pierced through Xitacil’s chest skin, his expression changed drastically.

The power erupting from anger instantly decreased, accompanied by deep fear… Perhaps Tu Shenyi was right; Xitacil hadn’t fought in a long time!

Faced with the threat of death, he thought not of resistance, but of evasion due to fear, and the rose-like pattern engraved on the Blood-colored Longsword.

“You… did ‘devour’ Karen… this is her…”

The Blood-colored Longsword pierced through the skin of the chest, effortlessly penetrating through Xitacil’s chest, almost sinking the blade entirely within. After finishing the last sentence, Xitacil closed his eyes, and his body came to a complete stop.

Tu Shenyi bent down, gripping the hilt of the Blood-colored Longsword, slowly pulling it out… but then suddenly paused.

The blade hadn’t completely withdrawn, but Xitacil’s body suddenly began melting at that moment—as if a castle made of sand was washed away by running water.

Xitacil’s body gradually liquefied, eventually turning into a black, muddy substance.

Tu Shenyi ultimately pulled the Blood-colored Longsword from the ground and shook his head, “There’s not much fighting ability left, but your escape skills sure have improved.”

Tu Shenyi said this and looked around. After confirming Xitacil wasn’t hiding somewhere else, he slowly left, saying softly, “If it wasn’t you Xitacil, then it’s down to Takizawa and Eve…”

…

In the ancient castle’s Dungeon Maze of the vineyard.

In a place deeper underground than the Dungeon Maze, a black long coffin was placed—the lid of the long coffin suddenly opened.

A figure abruptly sat up from the coffin, gasping heavily, still with a look of terror on his face.

Xitacil instinctively grabbed his heart, his expression changing from fear to ferocity, no longer handsome or alluring, “It actually cost me a Doppelganger Mudman… After so many years as a Dark Merchant, I only got two from the Magician’s Association! Tu Shenyi!”

Xitacil climbed out of the black coffin, feeling a bit fortunate. He did not expect to be almost instantly killed by Tu Shenyi, and he hadn’t even unleashed all his power…

He snorted coldly, suddenly saying, “So what if I’m a merchant? Merchants are full of treasures. If I weren’t a merchant, I might’ve died this time!”

Xitacil suddenly looked upward, as if wanting to see through the layers of soil, looking at everything above the Dungeon Maze, his gaze turning cold and sinister, “Tu Shenyi, it seems you have no sincerity to hand over the True Blood… then don’t blame me.”

With that, Xitacil suddenly extended his arm, rolling up his sleeve, and cut his wrist with his nail.

A stream of blood flowed from his wrist, falling to the ground, and was instantly absorbed by the black earth on the ground.

You could hear Xitacil lowly chanting something.

“Sleeping ancestors… great Originator of the Fernandis Blood… please awaken from death…”

The blood seeped into the earth, sinking deeper… eventually, it seemed to stop on something.

It was a completely dried-up corpse.

When the blood seeped into the chest, the heart of the corpse suddenly beat once… and a pair of eyes filled with blood light snapped open!

…

…

As they moved forward, Luo Qiu suddenly stopped, causing Zhong Luoyue, who was stealthily… following behind, to become nervous.

In an unusually terrifying environment, tightly stretched nerves are too easily triggered by small things.

“What happened?”

Luo Qiu suddenly looked down at the ground, and Zhong Luoyue followed his gaze. But there was nothing on the ground, and she didn’t know what Luo Qiu was looking at.

“Nothing, just suddenly thought of something.” Luo Qiu shook his head.

Zhong Luoyue seemed to have gotten used to this young guy. She just nodded at his words. She looked at the butterfly flying ahead and asked in confusion, “Why are you following it? Is there any special intention? And… you’re not an ordinary person, are you?”

The last question was something Zhong Luoyue considered for a good while before deciding to ask.

Luo Qiu glanced at Zhong Luoyue, then continued to follow the Goddess of Light Flash Butterfly ahead. Zhong Luoyue had to catch up, “Sorry, everyone has their own secrets. It’s my recklessness if you don’t want to talk about it.”

Luo Qiu suddenly said, “Actually, in my eyes, you are not an ordinary person either.”

“Me?” Zhong Luoyue was stunned, then she smiled bitterly, “Faced with those terrifying zombie armies and bloodsucking monsters, I could only be slaughtered.”

“What is the definition of an ordinary person?” Luo Qiu asked another question.

“A mediocre person.” Zhong Luoyue frowned, then cautiously gave an answer—she suddenly had a strange feeling, as if she was humbly asking for advice, as if facing a mentor.

But this person… is still very young.

“No distinguished family background, no affluent material life, but mentally sound, capable of feeling lost, capable of being happy…”

Luo Qiu slowly said, “No particularly dazzling skills, maybe with one or two specialties. They struggle in society, thinking about tomorrow every day. Their vision is not long-term, but they focus on the present, full of hope yet full of resentment. There are many things they cannot do, but there are also many things they can achieve. They are the largest group of people in the world.”

Zhong Luoyue tentatively asked, “The common people?”

“Is there anything else?” Luo Qiu asked in return.

Zhong Luoyue shook her head, disagreeing, “I mean, in another sense of non-ordinary. Maybe… you have some special ability, divine power.”

Luo Qiu said, “Miss Zhong, do you think that in the eyes of ordinary people, the wealth you possess, the connections, and what your family represents, isn’t that also a kind of special ability, divine power?”

“This…” Zhong Luoyue was at a loss for words.

People say money is almighty; it can do almost anything… Wealth seems to be a powerful ability.

Luo Qiu smiled slightly, “I recently watched a movie about two superheroes. The first asked the second superhero what kind of superpower he had. The second superhero said speed, he had incomparable speed, even faster than lightning. Then the second superhero also asked the first superhero what kind of superpower he had, and the first superhero’s answer was that he was very rich.”

Zhong Luoyue opened her mouth.

Luo Qiu said, “The superhero with superpowers can achieve many things. The rich one can equip himself with a lot of high-tech gear to achieve many impossible tasks. And they…”

Luo Qiu looked at Zhong Luoyue, “In the eyes of the world, they are all superheroes. Miss Zhong, what do you think?”

Zhong Luoyue shook her head, smiling bitterly, “My question differs from this, but now I have nothing to say… You’re just arguing. However, I won’t ask again.”

“Maybe you’ll like your former state more in the future,” Luo Qiu said softly, “but maybe not.”

“Alright.” Zhong Luoyue smiled bitterly again, “Thank you for the philosophy lesson… But I just want to get out of here. Perhaps you can help me? Let’s be straightforward, take me out of here, and I won’t owe you anything.”

“No need to rush; you’ll be very safe with me,” Luo Qiu casually said, “I won’t leave here for the time being.”

Zhong Luoyue was helpless—she couldn’t do anything about this guy.

However…

The superheroes with superpowers and those rich superheroes made Zhong Luoyue gain some insights… but unfortunately, the current situation doesn’t allow her to calmly reflect on the meaning behind this.

The butterfly was still flying ahead, and the two seemed to be moving deeper underground.

But the strange butterfly soon stopped, stopping in front of a stone door—this was also the end of the passage they were on.

The butterfly stopped on a protruding decoration next to the stone door at this moment. Luo Qiu walked over, fiddled with it, and seemed to trigger some mechanism. They heard the rumbling sound of the stone door slowly moving.

The phone’s flashlight instantly shined into the room within the stone door.

Empty, with nothing, just a simple stone chamber. Zhong Luoyue used her phone to illuminate around, finding the stone chamber not very large, about thirty square meters.

However, the walls of this stone room were densely cracked, as if by claws of beasts.

The cracks on these walls intersected crisscrossed, densely packed, almost covering all four walls—meanwhile, the flashlight moved to the front, discovering here also a tool for restraining people.

Chains and shackles hung on the wall.

“This seems like a place for imprisoning people.” Zhong Luoyue frowned, “The castle seems to have some history, this dungeon is built like a maze. Maybe the former owner of the castle was a lord or a military strategist… this underground maze may be a defensive measure.”

“Based on what?” Luo Qiu asked curiously.

Zhong Luoyue said, “I see some zombies appearing, wearing leather armor that looks a few hundred years old… The mystery of this place may be more than imagined.”

“Nice deduction.” Luo Qiu nodded but gave no further praise.

“This place is useless.” Zhong Luoyue shook her head, “It’s just a cell, nothing worth looking… what are you doing?”

Luo Qiu had walked to one of the walls, reaching out to touch the claw marks on the wall. His fingers moved slowly along the claw marks’ patterns, one time after another, particularly slowly.

Suddenly, Zhong Luoyue heard some noise, causing her to quickly move to Luo Qiu’s side, shining her phone’s flashlight toward where the sound seemed to come from.

It was a corner of the stone room, where a small figure was curled up, trembling… a woman in a black dress, with a head full of white hair.

And beside the white-haired woman, there was a hole, a hole that had been broken through.

Did she come into this room through that broken hole? Zhong Luoyue thought instinctively, but at this moment, Luo Qiu walked toward the shivering woman.

“You… be careful.” She couldn’t help but remind.

Luo Qiu waved his hand, indicating he was fine.

Finally, he came to the woman curled up on the ground, half-squatting down, and softly said, “Queen Elizabeth.”

The woman slowly raised her head, her eyes under white eyebrows were bloodshot, tears flowing, her face pale, with only her lips showing a strange red, and two protruding bloodsucking fangs…
