Chapter 899: Chapter 143: Sorry, I’m a Bit Emotional Right Now

In fact, there were still several survivors.

They were guests who escaped from the Dungeon Maze… But, in total, only four people remained.

The four had been trapped in the Dungeon Maze all along. When the Dungeon Maze started collapsing, a crack opened, allowing them to escape.

Upon escaping, the four realized they were less than a meter from the surface.

The four survivors were genuinely terrified, huddled in a corner, trembling. Some of the bodyguards outside the manor found them during their search and asked what happened.

But after experiencing the events in the Dungeon Maze, the few were extraordinarily tense.

“Blood-sucking monsters… zombies, a lot of zombies! They’re all zombies!!”

They recounted their terrifying experience with nervousness and fear, but those who found them were baffled — the things they talked about sounded too fantastical.

“Hey, ladies and gentlemen, I think you were too scared and saw hallucinations.”

A black bodyguard said at this moment, “I just wanted to ask if you have seen this person in the photo. He’s my employer, and I want to know if he’s still buried alive down there.”

Then, various bodyguards who came to the scene also questioned the whereabouts of their employers to the survivors.

“Really, believe me!! Believe us!” The survivors desperately clung to this black bodyguard.

The black bodyguard frowned at this moment, glancing at his companions and other colleagues… They all felt these people might have been scared foolish.

What no one noticed was that in the darkness, a figure also struggled to crawl out from the ruins in the corner. If Zhong Luoyue were here, she’d recognize that the person crawling out was actually Natasha, who had teamed up with her in the Dungeon Maze.

She was lucky because Song Da blocked the passage, allowing her to avoid encountering any zombies and nearly escape to the dungeon’s exit, just as the collapse occurred.

But she was still lucky, as she hadn’t ended up buried alive, successfully crawling out — although it had drained all her strength.

At the moment of her emergence, she saw a large group of bodyguards and a few survivors, and Natasha wanted to call them, but due to a moment of relaxation, she collapsed before getting the sound out, falling to the ground in a faint.

At this time, the survivors became increasingly agitated, with more and more bodyguards gathering… Seeing the survivors’ excited reactions, many frowned, secretly noting the mysteriousness of the situation — had these people collectively witnessed illusions, or did they really encounter something terrifying below?

And this unexpected collapse… the event truly emanated a sense of mystery everywhere.

Just then, a bat suddenly flew from the ruins, settling on a large broken stone, observing the crowd’s chaos from above.

It suddenly flew again, transformed into black mist upon touching the ground… From the mist, a handsome man slowly emerged.

“What have these ignorant and uncivilized fools done again?” The handsome man shook his head.

Wearing a black tailcoat outfit, he walked with crossed arms. As he reached the crowd’s outskirts, he raised his palm, on it a bottle, opening it and slowly blowing a breath.

A purple smoke accompanied by a breeze gently spread into the crowd—they instinctively inhaled the purple smoke, then froze in place, momentarily dazed.

Including the four emotionally charged survivors, they too calm down at this moment.

A strange scene unfolded—suddenly, it became quiet around, everyone silent.

After the silence, several survivors suddenly seemed to wake up, looking blankly around, at the ruins of the manor castle, and finally, curiously asked, “What happened?”

And at this moment, those bodyguards were also scratching their heads, seemingly puzzled by the situation… No one noticed the handsome young man in the black tailcoat quietly walking away from the ruins.

Only the little muttering sound: “The Amnesia Curse Potion is running out… Time to restock, perhaps.”

Meanwhile, several large shadows were flying from afar in the sky… They seemed to be helicopter-like flying tools.

…

Luckily, the Song Big Three Brothers escaped through a secret passage in the treasury—when they emerged, they found themselves a kilometer away from the manor.

They certainly couldn’t just leave like this—after getting out, their phone signals had restored, and the Song Big Three quickly informed Elder Song, who was playing chess with Uncle Wu at the Han Residence.

Elder Song wouldn’t doubt what the Song Big Three Brothers said—throughout Song Tianyou’s years of military life, he’d encountered numerous strange events, vaguely knowing the world wasn’t as simple as it seemed.

But with the Song Family’s two most important successors in such a hazardous situation, Song Tianyou could hardly remain calm.

He made a call, and a certain official army stationed outside the city directly dispatched several armed helicopters… Don’t doubt the Song Family’s clandestine influence in this country.

If time weren’t insufficient, for the Song Family’s two most important successors now, Elder Song, half a step into his coffin, might have unleashed the ‘Eagle Tail Flower’ village.

“I don’t care whether zombies or monsters… if anyone dares touch those two grandsons of mine, I’ll destroy them!!”

Uncle Wu hadn’t seen Elder Song make such declarations for over a decade… The last time was when Miss Song Ying’s parents were assassinated.

No one knew who the culprit was, but a month later, a small country’s regime was completely overturned in the world.

At the pinnacle of the tomb-robbing family… always a sleeping lion, never to be provoked into awakening.

At this moment, in the clearing, an armed helicopter hovered, dropping a rope ladder which the Song Big Three promptly climbed up.

“Mister Song Da, long time no see!” The speaker was a thirty-something officer.

Song Da didn’t engage in too much pleasantry now, “Colonel Hani, let’s drink next time, now is the time to save people… Did your men bring enough weapons?”

This Colonel Hani patted his chest, “Rest assured, the general ordered us to bring three armed helicopters and one transport aircraft, all equipped with elite strike force veterans, enough to fight a small battle! Speaking of, Mister Song Da, what kind of enemy is it?”

Song Da nodded solemnly, “In any case… be cautious, don’t get scared later.”

Colonel Hani had seen Mister Song Da and his two brothers, Mister Song Er and Mister Song San.

During a private meeting between Old Master Song and the General, the three of them collectively floored the general’s guard squad in under a minute… Since then, Colonel Hani, who esteemed martial prowess, revered the Song Big Three Brothers immensely.

“Seems it’s quite serious…” Colonel Hani nodded, giving orders as the hovering armed helicopter resumed movement, heading towards the manor.

…

…

“What… what should we do now?”

Zhong Luoyue had to ask because she saw Elizabeth seemed to lack much initiative.

Having seen some of Elizabeth’s memories, Zhong Luoyue knew that Elizabeth was much older than she appeared. However, because Elizabeth often used sleep to reduce the need for blood, her mental age was around that of a young girl of eighteen or nineteen.

Most importantly, many times, decisions were made by her deceased grandfather, Amunst.

As for Luo Qiu—she only knew the name of this mysterious young man who was brought by Song Ying, and that he possessed mysterious powers, nothing more.

More crucially, Luo Qiu appeared carefree and indifferent to the situation at hand, nonchalant… Zhong Luoyue had no choice but to speak first.

Saying “we” naturally came with a little intention.

“We don’t need to do anything.” Luo Qiu said matter-of-factly, “Later we can blend into the crowd and act like bystanders.”

“Yes, yes!” Elizabeth nodded quickly, appearing very compliant.

You’re nodding like a ghost…

Zhong Luoyue had to rub her brow, wondering if these beings with supernatural powers were all so capricious! Didn’t they consider the consequences?

Seeing Zhong Luoyue anxious like this, Luo Qiu suddenly found it amusing—but he wasn’t mocking her, just feeling that his mood right now wasn’t bad.

He was considering whether to erase Zhong Luoyue’s memory of the Dungeon Maze, but later decided against it.

Since his humanity was slightly more dominant at the moment, he would give the Song Family a small convenience, responding to Elder Song’s kindness towards him.

He believed this Ms. Zhong from the Boss Zhong would be a bit more cautious when meeting with the Song Family in the future.

As for this Ms. Zhong transforming into another form of life… naturally, it was something she herself should be concerned about, he would occasionally pay attention to it in the future.

But just when Zhong Luoyue was sulking about it, Luo Qiu turned around, looking at a collapsed wall, and simultaneously, Elizabeth seemed to sense something and followed his gaze.

From behind the wall, a shadow suddenly emerged.

The collapse of the manor castle caused some parts to catch fire… probably due to the castle still using many candles for lighting.

Amidst the flames, a handsome man in a black tailcoat walked out slowly.

Upon seeing this handsome man, Elizabeth’s face instantly became unpleasant, showing a trace of fear, and she anxiously clenched her clothes.

This handsome man obviously knew Elizabeth, for he directly called out her name: “Elizabeth Yarton, what happened during your hunt? Why did Fernandis’s castle collapse? In your hunting application, there were no additional notes indicating any other actions, were there?”

“Who is this?” Seeing Elizabeth’s reaction, Zhong Luoyue promptly stepped forward and asked quietly.

Elizabeth lowered her head, very frightened, not daring to look at this handsome man, muttering for a moment before trembling slightly: “He… he’s an inspector of the Thirteen Clans, named Ivan… generally in charge of overseeing those vampires who break the rules, and can take direct action to purge when necessary…”

“This woman…” The handsome man… Inspector Ivan stared, scrutinizing Zhong Luoyue, “A newborn? Who granted the first embrace? Unapproved first embraces are not permitted, I need an explanation.”

Elizabeth hurriedly said: “Lord Ivan, she was given the first embrace by Lady Eve… I think Lady Eve was too excited at the time, causing her to lose control…”

Inspector Ivan shook his head and said indifferently: “Always causing trouble… where is she now? I remember among you, there should be members of the Oriental Takizawa Family, and Xitacil, the Dark Merchant, and also the last of the Yexiel Family, right? Moreover, I encountered some survivors who said zombies appeared, what’s going on?”

“This… this indeed has happened.” Elizabeth looked fearfully at Inspector Ivan.

Participants in the True Blood plan have always been cautious, but the Thirteen Clans have tight control over many vampire families.

Because of being a mixed-blood, Elizabeth’s status in the clan was very low, not often able to get the necessary pure blood supplies, overseen by this Inspector Ivan.

She had succumbed to the powerful influence behind Inspector Ivan more than once, and to Elizabeth, Inspector Ivan was like a mountain oppressing her and her grandfather Amunst, suffocating.

“Let’s discuss this matter after it’s resolved.”

Inspector Ivan suddenly glanced at Luo Qiu and said indifferently: “I will deal with the current situation first… what’s your background? Although I don’t know what you are, you’re definitely not one of us, right?”

“Lord Ivan, he is my friend, and I invited him here!” Elizabeth quickly said: “Please, please don’t hurt him okay? I’ll tell you everything that happened in the dungeon later!”

Even though she knew Brother Luo Qiu was formidable, having said that Viscount Fernando IV and the mutated monsters of Jin Wucheng were destroyed, the Inspector represented the Thirteen Clans!

The Thirteen Clans have the longest history, behind each clan, there’s a powerful Blood Prince… they are the kings among the Vampire Clans, absolutely undeniable.

“Did I allow you to speak?” The inspector gave Elizabeth a sharp look.

Elizabeth’s body instantly flew backward, hitting a wall behind her hard.

“Ignorant mixed-blood,” the inspector snorted coldly, again looking at Luo Qiu: “You, what’s your connection to this incident?”

“No relation.” Luo Qiu shook his head: “I was just passing by… By the way, are you alone here?”

Inspector Ivan frowned, inexplicably feeling a sudden rush of fear.

Luo Qiu sighed: “Actually, if it weren’t for Miss Karen and Mister Tu, I think I’d have an extremely bad impression of you all.”

“Oh, really?” Inspector Ivan squinted.

“Besides, don’t you think it’s very impolite to strike a lady?” Luo Qiu snapped his fingers.

Before Inspector Ivan could react, he too flew backward, but instead of hitting a wall, an invisible barrier emerged behind him at that moment.

He slammed into this invisible wall, his entire body’s bones breaking instantly, spitting out a mouthful of pus and blood, then collapsed to the ground.

Looking at the inspector Ivan, lying like a pile of mud, Luo Qiu said blankly, “Sorry, I’m rather emotional right now.”
