Chapter 852: Chapter 96: The Devil’s Deal (2)

A chilly breeze blew through, here in an elevated level of the hospital.

Mr. Ofi did not know how he was brought out and led to this place—the entire time, he was contemplating the fact that Dr. Ferenc had awakened from death.

Although, after waking up, Dr. Ferenc fell back into slumber once again under the mysterious man’s pat—yes, he fell asleep, not lying on the bed with a cold body and without breath not long before.

A few ‘Wizards’ suddenly pushed Mr. Ofi forward.

Mr. Ofi stumbled a few steps forward, only to see the mysterious figure who called himself the Messenger of God, currently standing with his hands behind his back, gazing at the city’s night view.

“I can keep Ferenc alive forever.”

Mr. Ofi heard this and his heart suddenly thumped, only to see that the Messenger of God slowly turned around, calmly saying, “But in return, you must become my servant.”

The Messenger of God slowly levitated, showcasing Extraordinary Power beyond the realm of science in front of Mr. Ofi, completely shattering Mr. Ofi’s long-held beliefs.

“Why… me?”

Ever since leaving the morgue, countless thoughts had crossed Mr. Ofi’s mind—he wasn’t someone who easily lost composure or was swayed, but the phenomenon of resurrection was so unnatural, it left a tremendous impact on him.

The Messenger of God calmly said, “I need to develop my God’s church, and before my God’s glory truly shines upon the earth, I do not want any hindrances from this country, so I need someone who can serve my God. Mr. Ofi, Dr. Ferenc’s resurgence is an early reward from my God for you.”

“You want me to help you… cover up all traces of your activities?” Mr. Ofi’s heart suddenly shook violently.

As the Minister of National Defense and Security, with the power to mobilize most of the country’s secret forces, intelligence, etc., he could easily imagine how a New Church supported by him could rapidly develop… yet he knew nothing about the purpose of this religion.

“Do you, or do you not, agree?” Baqi looked down, articulating each word clearly.

Mr. Ofi suddenly gave a wry smile, looking up, “You… are actually a Devil, right? This is paid assistance, not a gift.”

His voice was low, audible only to Baqi in front of him. Just as Baqi was planning to continue persuading this guy with prepared lines, Mr. Ofi suddenly knelt.

Mr. Ofi raised his head, calmly saying, “I have nothing to hesitate about… Messenger of God, is it? From now on, I will be your servant. But…”

Mr. Ofi stood up again, speaking sternly, “But if you disappoint me, then waiting for this so-called church will be the force of this country… all of its force.”

The Messenger of God… Baqi chuckled lightly, though actually scared to death.

Damn, stop scaring people with the entire country’s force… but I know you’re really something!

Baqi took a deep breath… the miracle the club Maid promised seems almost achieved.

Next, Baqi recalled the details the Maid mentioned before the mission and said, “Dr. Ferenc’s resurrection will cause significant upheaval in society. Mr. Ofi, I think you know what to do, how to cover it up. And going forward, there might be many incredible events in society, I hope you can handle them well too, and don’t let me down.”

With that, the Messenger of God and his followers quietly left.

Mr. Ofi remained in place, gazing up at the starry sky, murmuring, “Madam Maggie, I seem to have made a very foolish decision, but I couldn’t refuse… and won’t refuse.”

What an incredible night, truly existing, resurrection.

…

…

Hiss, hiss.

A light tube in the hospital corridor suddenly flickered, seemingly due to unstable voltage.

At this moment, a doctor in his forties suddenly stopped in front of a door, knocking lightly. Shortly after, a voice came from inside, “Who is it?”

“It’s Layn, Professor Moqi.” At this moment, Dr. Layn directly pushed the door, entering Professor Moqi’s office.

Professor Moqi, sitting in the chair, curiously asked, “Is there something you need, Dr. Layn?”

Dr. Layn sat down in front of the desk, seriously saying, “Professor Moqi, regarding Dr. Ferenc’s condition this time, there are some questions I would like to ask you. I wonder if you can clear up my confusion.”

“Dr. Ferenc? What’s wrong with him?” Professor Moqi said regretfully, “Oh, Dr. Ferenc is such a pity… Of course, his medical case is unprecedented, perhaps an invaluable contribution to medicine, at least we’ve gained precious data.”

But Dr. Layn shook his head, then stared at Professor Moqi, saying abruptly, “Professor, I’m not talking about Dr. Ferenc’s medical case, but something else.”

Saying so, Dr. Layn reached into the pocket of his doctor robe, then took out a small sealed bag and placed it in front of Professor Moqi, saying, “This pill, it’s the special nutrition drug you prescribed for Dr. Ferenc to maintain his body’s energy consumption.”

“Oh… that’s correct, is there a problem?” Professor Moqi looked at Dr. Layn without concern.

Dr. Layn said, “I took it for component analysis and found many unknown elements, furthermore… the technology to create this pill seems… seems beyond current technology, right?”

“So what?” Professor Moqi responded leisurely.

Dr. Layn chuckled, “Professor, I fed this pill to white mice, guess what I found?”

“What did you find?”

“It’s… poison.” Dr. Layn smirked coldly, “Although I don’t know how it synthesizes exactly, it’s obviously highly toxic. Even though it can provide the human body with immense energy, I’m afraid… this is Forbidden Medicine, right?”

“So?”

Dr. Layn continued to smirk coldly, “Professor, if people find out you’re secretly developing hazardous Forbidden Medicine… if Mr. Ofi finds out you gave Dr. Ferenc this dangerous drug, I wonder, what consequences you’ll face?”

Professor Moqi merely smiled, reaching to lift the small sealed bag that Dr. Layn put down before him, observing the little pill inside, calmly saying, “You should have extra copies on hand, right? Tell me, what do you want?”

Dr. Layn’s eyes gleamed as he said, “It’s simple, in the upcoming appointments, I hope you recommend me to become the director. And… I wish to be involved in the development of this drug, I want to collaborate with you, Professor.”

“Quite ambitious.” Professor Moqi nodded, though somewhat disappointed, “But that’s all? It’s simply… a waste of my time.”

“What?” Dr. Layn was suddenly stunned.

Professor Moqi calmly said, “This drug was never meant to be used alone; it requires a companion liquid. I prescribed it for Ferenc merely because, without it, Ferenc couldn’t have survived until now. I didn’t want the Master saying I didn’t do a good job with after-sales service. So…”

Amidst Dr. Layn’s horrified gaze, Professor Moqi, the lead doctor of Dr. Ferenc’s consultation, slowly transformed…

From an old man, he gradually became a stunningly beautiful woman in a black dress.

Became her, a person of absolute beauty.

“So… I really have no interest in you. Forget about what happened tonight, and then destroy those secretly kept medicines and your experimental data.”

The instructions were as calm as water.

Creak.

Dr. Layn expressionlessly, like a puppet, gently pushed open the office door and walked out dumbly…

…

…

They were actually all affluent individuals with clean reputations, and almost all of them were in Mr. Besong’s circle of friends.

Baqi needed a large number of followers. Of course, he didn’t explicitly mention this to Mr. Besong, yet fully absorbed in the fervor of the great ‘Baqi God,’ Mr. Besong easily deduced what he needed to do.

As the first servant of the Messenger of God, and as the servant closest to the omniscient and omnipotent Baqi God apart from the Messenger, how could he not devote all his power to spreading Its glory?

Even his wife would quietly enter the room of the Messenger of God at night to discuss various matters, and Mr. Besong pretended not to see.

Even if Madam Maggie attended to the Messenger of God in ways that were quite pleasing, Mr. Besong did not mind, feeling even a bit eager to join in himself.

So, naturally… forgive her!

Mr. Besong had already decided to offer everything of himself. Therefore, presenting his wife, whom he regarded as his own property, to the Messenger of God seemed appropriate.

Mr. Besong would even meticulously ask his wife if there was anything during the process that displeased the Messenger of God, fearing that any error in service would upset this great envoy.

Mr. Besong was so dedicated to contributing all his power to the revival of ‘Baqi God.’

Therefore, when the Messenger of God announced he would demonstrate a great miracle in front of the followers, Mr. Besong felt as if he had received numerous blessings, filling him with energy!

A miracle!

The great Messenger of God, after saving him, was again planning to create a miracle of life!

Mr. Besong could hardly sit still!

He immediately rushed to notify all his friends who had secretly joined the church under his persuasion, especially those who were initially hesitant but hadn’t truly committed, as they were the key targets of persuasion.

Thanks to Mr. Besong’s tireless efforts, preparing costumes and standing by, the scene saw the appearance of many followers dressed as ‘Wizards.’

And in fact, when the Messenger of God revived a person declared dead by the hospital, Mr. Besong and all the followers present were not disappointed.

Arranging the standpoints of these followers, Mr. Besong listened to them secretly discussing the incredible events of the night, feeling indescribably excited.

Because from their conversation, tone, and involuntary reverence, he was sure that after this night, these people would become just like him, wholeheartedly devoted to the greatest omniscient and omnipotent Baqi God.

Oh… and our great Messenger of God!

Mr. Besong was even contemplating whether to entice a couple more female followers to receive the glory of the Messenger of God tonight.

Because Mr. Besong noticed that after receiving the glory of the Messenger of God for several nights, his wife’s skin had improved considerably, and she appeared much younger, reminiscent of the youthful beauty from a few years ago when he married her.

Regrettably, Mr. Besong lamented not being female himself, otherwise, he would wish to personally partake in receiving the glory of the Messenger of God… I wonder if the Messenger of God had any interest in going in the back?

Unaware of Mr. Besong’s private thoughts, Baqi suddenly felt a chill down his spine, as if something dreadful was eyeing him.

“Messenger, the last group has been sent off. Rest assured, I was very careful. A friend of mine who is also a believer and a shareholder in this hospital ensured no one discovered our visit.” Mr. Besong zealously approached Baqi.

Baqi only felt the chill on his back deepen, and he shivered involuntarily.

Mr. Besong immediately showed concern, “Ah, Messenger, what’s wrong? Is it exhaustion from performing this miracle?”

“I…” Baqi looked to the night sky, appearing profound, slowly saying, “… need to pee, I’ll find a restroom first.”

Saying this, Baqi hurriedly went off in search of the restroom.

Mr. Besong blankly watched the Messenger of God run off, marveling, “Truly divine, even the urge to pee is distinctive.”

…

Of course, Baqi wasn’t really needing to pee; he was just seeking the maid who had guided him in founding the church.

In the hospital’s underground parking, Baqi glanced around, finally arriving at the elevator door, anxiously waiting—the elevator had started, someone was descending from above.

Ding—!

As the elevator doors opened, the maid in a black dress slowly stepped out, her first sight landing on Baqi.

“Baqi, why are you still here? What are you doing?”

Baqi immediately stepped forward, showing a fawning smile, “I’m here to report tonight’s victory to you! Ms. You Ye, let me tell you, this time really…”

Unexpectedly, the maid waved her hand, calmly saying, “No need. From now on, I will cease advising you. How your church develops henceforth relies on your own efforts.”

“What?” Baqi was stunned, quickly retorting, “Please, I still need your guidance for many things!”

Suddenly, You Ye gazed at Baqi, sending chills down his spine, “You started with nothing, now your spiritual power has significantly increased, and you have gained fervent followers like Besong. After this miracle, your prestige among the followers is very high, even subduing Ofi to serve you… Baqi, don’t you agree?”

“But what about Dr. Ferenc?” Baqi anxiously asked, “I feel even with blessing magic, it doesn’t seem sufficient.”

At this point, You Ye tossed Baqi a bottle of medicine, “Take this, administer one tablet to Ferenc every week, then use blessing magic on him daily, and his life can be sustained.”

“Thank you, Ms. You Ye.” Baqi rejoiced, hurriedly accepting with both hands.

Unexpectedly, the maid coldly added, “There’s a charge—200 units of the Power of Faith, thank you for your patronage, customer. Given your recent development, you’re allowed to credit temporarily.”

Baqi… The Messenger of God twitched his mouth.

So far, he had only collected about ten units of the Power of Faith… indeed, there’s no free lunch in the world!
