Chapter 814: Chapter 58: Drugs

In the beginning, perhaps it was ancient, or maybe before ancient times, the initial power wielded by western humanity seemed to originate from external objects.

Blood, items imbued with a unique aura within nature, special languages, and so on. These served as mediums to access the extraordinary power in nature, gradually allowing exploration and application.

Lucifer bit her finger and wrote on Uncle Amm’s body with blood using an ancient Hebrew script—a part of the mystical domain in the old Hebrew writing system.

But undoubtedly, this was a system outside of her inherent power—even an ordinary person, having enough mediums and understanding of the methodology, could apply it.

Of course, such a primitive application of ancient extraordinary power would not achieve significant results.

Yet for Lucifer’s current state, this was a chance that prevented her from losing completely and having no hope of a comeback—even though she didn’t think of making a comeback.

“Ah… it seems my blood still contains the power of the origin.”

Lucifer watched as the bloody incantation written on Uncle Amm began to emit a glow under her manipulation, frowning slightly.

From this, she could deduce some mysteries of her current loss of power—perhaps, she merely severed the communication with her origin power, much like a blocked path.

Of course, she didn’t think this blocked path would be easily cleared.

Nonetheless, since the power contained in the blood still existed, the range of operations she could perform increased… Lucifer pondered for a moment, then had a new idea.

“SU-DUO-TA… A-WAR… GA-QI-XI… KU-O… WENG…”

Her lips moved, producing one bizarre syllable after another… This used her blood as a medium, an ancient summoning magic, a method to summon a demon from Hell to serve her.

Lucifer dared not summon too powerful a demon, lest her current state cause imminent disaster.

The blood-red incantation on Uncle Amm’s chest began to animate, the strange words twisted, then burrowed into Uncle Amm’s body. His entire body rapidly withered, all organic matter now transforming into the power source for this magic.

Until his entire body disappeared, leaving only a clump of red substance on the ground. They coalesced into a red sphere of light—like a red light egg!

Crack!

The eggshell suddenly cracked, and a small creature emerged from the light egg, finally resting on Lucifer’s shoulder.

Blood-red, its body like flames, not entirely fixed in form, without hands or feet, but a demon that could continuously grow by consuming blood, named: Blood Sprite.

For Lucifer, this type of demon suited her well—she could nourish the Blood Sprite with her own blood, eventually raising it to a very high level, thereby creating an avatar of her own Blood Sprite—of course, this might take an extremely long time.

This Blood Sprite, now, couldn’t even absorb a milligram of her blood.

Once the Blood Sprite was summoned, the surrounding Black and White Capuchins, in a frenzy, instinctively sensed danger, baring their teeth at Lucifer.

Lucifer snorted coldly, sweeping her gaze over these Black and White Capuchins. The Blood Sprite on her shoulder felt its master’s will, immediately flying out to devour the blood of these Black and White Capuchins.

In an instant, the blood of dozens of Black and White Capuchins was consumed, and when the Blood Sprite returned to Lucifer’s side, its body had already grown a bit—the growth speed of a newborn Blood Sprite was quite decent.

At this time.

“Uncle Amm? Are you there? Uncle Amm… Lucy… Uncle Amm…”

It was Charlotte’s voice—perhaps she heard some noise, so she searched in this direction. Lucifer patted the Blood Sprite beside her, suddenly having a new idea.

To raise a Blood Sprite, it was best to feed it high-quality blood from the beginning—such as the blood of a virgin.

Undoubtedly, Charlotte was a very ideal blood source sacrifice.

As for the elderly nun at the monastery, her quality seemed good too, though old but still maintaining a pure body, more importantly, Delan Mammy also possessed the seed of divine power.

After carefully considering for a while, Lucifer’s face showed a peculiar smile.

The power lost, trapped in a child’s body… Yet she still was the arrogant mistress, queen ruling Hell, she had no intention of submitting to fate.

“Stop shouting, I’m here, come over.” Lucifer suddenly shouted towards where Charlotte was.

Soon after, Charlotte jogged over. Seeing Lucifer unharmed, Charlotte was very happy, carefully examining Lucifer’s body, fearing she might be hurt.

“I’m fine, and for now, I’m quite well.” Lucifer brushed away Charlotte’s hand.

The Blood Sprite was at this moment attached to her body, forming a blood-red flame mark on the skin of her back.

“By the way, did you see Uncle Amm? Lucy?” Charlotte asked at this time.

“No…” Lucifer subconsciously wanted to say no, but just as she uttered a word, she started having a splitting headache, cold sweat dripping.

“I did.” Lucifer looked at Charlotte, utterly sincere: “I killed him. I used his soul and body as materials to create a demon.”

“Oh~” Charlotte nodded, then grabbed Lucifer’s hand: “Uncle Amm should be alright, maybe we should return to the camp. If we go further, I fear I might get lost.”

“I said, I killed him.”

“Oh…” Charlotte still nodded: “Are you hungry?”

“…Let’s go, back to the camp.”

…

“By the way, Lucy…”

“I am called Lucifer.”

“Right, Lucifer, where do you live?”

“Hell.”

“Such a poor child… being treated like that surely feels like Hell.” Charlotte observed the collar and chains on Lucifer’s body, and her weak appearance when she appeared.

“…”

“As soon as the path outside is cleared, I’ll take you to the police station immediately, they can help you! It’s a serious crime to abuse children!” Charlotte said, indignant.

Lucifer looked at the twinkling stars, saying: “The police can’t help me.”

“Could it be… is the person tormenting you very influential?” Charlotte frowned slightly.

“In the heavens and on earth, even the God you believe in, if possible, would choose not to oppose it.”

Charlotte nodded: “Hmm… I think I’m starting to understand what you’re getting at. Although your way of putting it is somewhat strange, it seems they are quite powerful then.”

She recalled when she found Lucifer, she was wearing a red dress that didn’t fit in size—though she didn’t know why she was dressed like that, the dress seemed to be of very high quality.

As Uncle Amm would say, she’s an imaginative child—perhaps, after experiencing so much cruelty daily, the only refuge for her heart was the world of fantasy?

Thinking this way, Charlotte’s pity for Lucifer increased a bit, an idea vaguely forming in her heart.

“Lucifer, do you have any family members who can help you?”

Lucifer looked skyward, coldly smiling: “Family? They probably wish I were dead.”

She stood quietly, gazing at the twinkling stars, her expression complicated, while Charlotte suddenly embraced her from behind, whispering: “Don’t be afraid, you won’t be without a place to go. Delan Mammy and I will take care of you. Why not stay at the monastery for a while?”

“Okay.” Lucifer nodded, “I don’t want to stay here anymore, can you take me back to the monastery now?”

“This… better wait until Uncle Amm returns to the camp and then we’ll tell him.” Charlotte considered.

Lucifer replied, “Why don’t you just leave a note saying why? In any case, don’t you believe he is fine?”

“But… alright.” Charlotte nodded: “Then let’s go back to the monastery first.”

Always feels like it’s easy to be led by the nose by this kid.

…

…

Walking through alleys that were either deserted or intricate, a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt soon arrived at an alley filled with various graffiti.

Batman Alley is a well-known tourist spot here. Of course, this mysterious man wasn’t here as a visitor.

He swiftly navigated through twists and turns until he reached the back of a tavern.

The man quickly knocked a few times on the back door in a rhythmic pattern, and someone opened the door to let him in.

Once inside, he flipped up the hood of his sweatshirt and glanced around the room—there were quite a few fellows here… all members of the ‘LK Brotherhood’.

“Where’s the boss?” he asked.

“The boss is upstairs talking to someone.”

“Who?”

The companion shrugged: “Don’t know, it’s a woman, quite hot, but looks like a white-collar. Makes you wanna get with her!”

The man nodded and said casually, “I’ll go up later. Today’s goods are all sold out. I’m going to take a break first.”

The companion made an OK gesture, then turned on the music system in the room. A powerful song blared out, and many of the guys inside started scooping up some white powder with spoons, heating it with lighters, and inhaling it.

In just a few minutes, the place turned chaotic and thrilling, like a den of evil spirits.

…

Meanwhile, upstairs was much quieter… but seemingly more dangerous—for the two men tied with plastic straps, waiting for them might be death.

In fact, before they were tied up on the floor, they had been beaten so badly they were barely recognizable, lying there with likely ruptured internal organs, and their consciousness was terribly blurred.

This was an office-like place, where a thirty-something man sat in a large chair, playing with the tip of a small knife.

This man was the newly ascended boss of the ‘LK Brotherhood,’ named Vita, and opposite him sat a blonde woman in a black skirt suit.

Vita pinned the knife onto the table, then looked at the blonde woman, “Miss Cosini, it seems asking further won’t yield anything, no point wasting time, let’s talk about something else.”

The blonde woman referred to as Cosini nodded, and Vita happily waved, his men quickly took the two severely beaten men out.

With only Vita and Cosini left in the room, Vita went to the liquor cabinet and brought back two glasses and a bottle of rum.

“These two are Bucky’s trusted associates when he was in power, still very loyal to him.” Ignoring Vita’s actions, Cosini spoke to herself, “If Bucky returns, he’ll definitely seek them out to regain control. You should keep an eye on them. Mr. Saint Fran doesn’t want his plans to be affected in any way.”

“Mr. Saint Fran…” Vita drank his drink, “Mr. Saint Fran? Actually, I can’t understand why Doflamingo wants to change his name to that.”

“That’s none of your business, just do what Mr. Saint Fran instructed you.” Cosini said indifferently.

Vita, however, sat directly on the table, exuding a rogue aura. He lifted Cosini’s chin and smiled, “Instructed? Did you misuse the word? At most, Doflamingo and I have a cooperative relationship, he’s not my boss—I’m the leader of LK now.”

Cosini scoffed coldly, “Really? As long as Bucky’s still alive, can you really maintain your position as boss? The most influence you have is with the younger members in LK. The veterans won’t easily listen to you, not without Mr. Saint Fran’s support…”

Vita shrugged, seeming unconcerned, and said sarcastically, “Bucky is just a washed-up boss. During his years in prison, indulging in pleasures, he’s long lost his ambition. Even without Doflamingo, the Brotherhood would soon be mine.”

Cosini seemed unwilling to continue the conversation with Vita and stood up directly. She took a box out of her bag, “Here’s three kilograms, hurry and distribute the goods.”

Saying that, Cosini picked up her handbag, intending to leave.

“Wait!” Vita suddenly grabbed Cosini’s arm, stopping her, and said coldly, “Initially, Doflamingo asked me to distribute his goods, saying it was in exchange for helping me. That’s fine, it’s mutually beneficial. But isn’t the potency of this stuff a bit too strong? And selling it for profit, he doesn’t want any of the money, what’s that about?”

“Nothing special, Mr. Saint Fran is just letting you earn money, aren’t you happy?” Cosini frowned, “Also, please let go of my hand.”

“Leaving so soon?” Vita suddenly pulled hard on Cosini, pressing her onto the table, and said with a sinister smile, “Since you’re letting me earn, why not send yourself to me as well? I promise, I’ll quickly distribute this load.”

Saying this, Vita stroked Cosini’s cheek with his finger, clicking his tongue, “It’s a waste for Doflamingo to have a woman like you around.”

His fingers slid all the way down Cosini’s cheek, touching her neck, and then swiftly moved toward her collarbone.

Cosini, however, remained expressionless, even making a gesture as if sighing with annoyance. At the same time, she bent her knee mercilessly into Vita’s stomach.

This sudden move made Vita cry out in pain. At this moment, Cosini displayed a strength unrelated to any gentle woman, flipping the situation and pinning Vita to the table. She reached out, pulled out the dagger that was pinned on the table, and stabbed it back down along his neck.

All this happened in a flash, but the blade had already cut through the skin of his neck, causing Vita to break into a cold sweat.

He struggled hard several times, only to find that this woman was much stronger than ordinary men—he couldn’t break free.

“It’s Mr. Saint Fran, I hope you won’t call him wrong next time. Understand?”

Vita, looking at the gaze of this hot-looking woman, suddenly shivered… The coldness of this woman made him feel like he was seeing ice.

“Alright…”

Only then did Cosini pull out the dagger, casually tossing it to the side wall—Vita looked over instinctively, and the dagger was now dead center on the bullseye of the dartboard hanging on the wall.

He spat out.

Cosini adjusted her collar, “Remember to distribute the goods.”

Only after Cosini left the office did Vita, trembling, touch his own neck, then quickly drained the glass of liquor, regaining some color in his face.

…

After leaving the tavern, Cosini walked alone in the graffiti-filled alley. She glanced around, then took out her phone and made a call.

“The second batch has been delivered to Vita.”

A strange laugh came through the phone before Saint Fran’s voice said, “I knew you could do it. After this, let’s find some small groups in Rio to help distribute the goods as well… Alright, come back to my side quickly; tonight I need to go to the city government and talk to them about sponsoring the renovation of the municipal theater. As my secretary, you naturally have to be there, the beautiful Miss Cosini.”

“Understood.” Cosini nodded, but then queried, “Actually, I don’t understand. If you want to support public undertakings, there should be many better choices. Why choose to renovate a theater?”

Another strange laugh echoed, and Saint Fran suddenly said, “What if I told you the theater might have a nuclear bomb hidden inside, would you believe it?”

Of course… not.

Cosini quickly vanished into the graffiti alley—as she walked out, Boss Luo slowly emerged from a nearby alley and headed toward Vita’s tavern.

He walked inside.

The booming sound system continued unabated, and no one noticed the arrival of an uninvited guest. Boss Luo ascended the stairs with his hands behind his back, finally reaching the door of Vita’s office.

Opening and closing the door.

Vita, who was drinking gloomily alone, looked suspiciously toward the entrance, frowning. Noticing the opening and closing of the door, sensing something unusual and illogical about the situation, Vita’s line of sight suddenly caught a blurred figure that gradually became clearer.

Vita rubbed his eyes instinctively—as if someone had silently appeared before him, though he couldn’t figure out how this guy got so close.

“Who are you?” Vita suddenly became alert.

Luo Qiu merely snapped his fingers, and Vita lay his head on the table, falling asleep immediately.

On the table was the box Cosini had left behind. Luo Qiu picked it up, opened it, and gazed at the contents—tiny white crystals that looked like coarse salt.

Luo Qiu scooped some out with his finger, thought for a moment, then suddenly placed the tiny white crystals into his mouth.

He then closed his eyes.

It felt as if his brain was stimulated, many thoughts sprang out from consciousness for a moment, yet in just a flash, countless fantasies and impulses disappeared without a trace.

Luo Qiu opened his eyes; the world remained silent like a black-and-white silent film… but a sparkle flashed in his eyes.

“It actually had an effect…”
