Chapter 820: Chapter 64: Friday Without the Lord (6)

“…In the name of the Omniscient and Omnipotent One, the great Bucky… I, the Angel Envoy of the great Omniscient and Omnipotent Bucky, can save him!”

Solemn, sacred, seemingly with a touch of mystery.

Black night, streetlights, chaos, the crowd’s gathered gaze, held breaths.

A woman’s grief as she looks at her husband.

At this moment, he wearing a Carnival Mask seems to become the ferryman of souls, leaving a lasting impression… Probably.

However.

“Isn’t he the guy who was causing trouble just now? Don’t come and mess things up!!”

“Get lost!!”

A group of people surged forward and directly pushed this man in a Carnival Mask out, and then continued their discussion again—none other than that this shot man, unless a miracle happens, can only be claimed back by the Lord’s embrace.

“I’m telling you, you guys will incur the wrath of the Omniscient and Omnipotent Bucky… Ah, don’t hit, don’t hit!! No hitting the face… Who touched my crotch!!! Ah…”

Bucky clambered out of the crowd in a sorry state, protectively clutching the Carnival Mask on his face, scurrying to the lady holding her husband, and rushing to say, “Listen, Madam! Your husband won’t live for much longer, you should know in your heart, why not let me try at this moment? What if I can save him? If you don’t allow, then you’d become the murderer of your husband!”

“Kill this charlatan!”

“Wait…” The lady hesitated for a moment, then swiftly wiped away the tears from her eyes, forcefully grabbed Bucky’s arm, “Can you… can you really save him?”

Bucky was about to nod but suddenly remembered the Maid’s explanation of the abilities of the item he received, and glanced at the jewels and trinkets adorning this lady, suddenly had a flash of inspiration, lowered his voice and said, “I think, at least I can give you some time for your husband to make a will.”

The lady’s eyes froze.

Just then, someone began to lift Bucky up, and then several others simultaneously pinned him down, seemingly planning to hand him over to the police—those police, on this congested long street, were in a firefight with an armed man and momentarily couldn’t attend to this side.

“Please… please wait a moment, I want him to try.” The lady suddenly said.

“Madam, this is desperate measures in desperation!” Someone shook their head, “Who knows what he might do? It’s possible he’ll cause your husband’s quicker death.”

Though this shot man, seemingly didn’t have much longer to live anyway.

“He’s my husband, I have this right…” The lady took a deep breath and then looked at Bucky, “But if you’re lying, I’ll make you regret it for life!”

Bucky struggled a few times, those holding him released him accordingly. Bucky tidied up the fake Zegna suit he was wearing, then placed both hands on his chest solemnly, “Madam, I think your husband would certainly rejoice at your decision.”

The lady crawled up from the ground, grabbed Bucky’s shoulders with both hands, pulled him in front of herself, lowered her voice and said, “Can you really give him time to make a will?”

“…”

…

Bucky decided to act fast; without further ado, he had the shot man moved aside.

Several unwilling men together lifted the shot man, looking at the blood flowing from his chest, shuddering in fear.

At that time, Bucky couldn’t bother with a whole lot of ‘ceremony’ or chanting a lot of ‘Spell’ to enhance his professionalism.

He reached out and took the little bottle given by the Maid, opened it, and then secretly hid it at the collar of his shirt, then placed both hands directly on the man’s chest lightly.

In the night, it was easy to see Bucky’s hands emitting a faint milky white light. It began to spread across the shot man’s chest.

These faint lights flickered, appeared, disappeared, and then quickly appeared again. Someone sharp-eyed, at this time, saw that Bucky’s nape and hair tips were already soaking wet.

The lady was also staring hard at her husband, and then unbelievably covering her mouth.

Because—the shot man’s complexion was gradually becoming healthier. His eyelids began to twitch, then slowly opened… he spoke weakly, but he indeed spoke, “Is this… heaven…”

Finally, Bucky released his hands and slowly stood up; because of the Carnival Mask, people couldn’t see Bucky’s trembling lips at the moment.

This blessing Spell only slightly stimulates human potential, which in essence is accelerating the body’s metabolism, giving health and a sense of vitality.

Bucky didn’t know how many times he had used it repeatedly, anyway, he had already followed the Maid’s instructions, absorbed the entire bottle of potion to recover spiritual power, at this moment simply had a splitting headache, heavy eyelids, wished he could just sleep—preferably on a pair of big bosoms.

The shot man at this time also slowly stood up, under the incredulous gazes of the crowd, unbuttoned his shirt, and revealed where he got shot.

Aside from the skin still having blood stuck on it, there really wasn’t a hint of a wound, “I… am I not dreaming? A miracle…”

“This… perhaps is a trick of the eye! These few people… might be in cahoots!” Voices of doubt emerged from the crowd.

Bucky placed his hands on his chest calmly, “I am the Angel Envoy of the Omniscient and Omnipotent One, the great Bucky walking on earth…”

His legs suddenly floated off the ground and then soared to the sky, instantly vanishing into the night…

The doubtful voices were quickly drowned in a cacophony of astonished cries, the crowd dumbly staring at the night sky, but never noticed, that the shot man’s eyes at this moment gleamed with fervor.

He murmured, “Great Omniscient and Omnipotent One, Great Omniscient and Omnipotent One, Great Omniscient and Omnipotent One, Great…”

…

…

Wow—!!!

From high up, a terrified scream sounded, then a figure was falling all the way down, landing on the rooftop of a building across from the theater.

Doing such free-fall movement, directly crashing onto the rooftop, ordinary people would probably instantly be GG. But evidently this one wouldn’t—his body actually halted just before hitting the rooftop floor.

In its abrupt pause less than ten centimeters from the ground, only then did he land.

Bucky hurriedly climbed to his feet, then removed the Carnival Mask, unable to hide the excitement in his eyes.

“Ms. You Ye! Did you see, I did it! I brought that person back to life! Really, I really brought someone back to life!”

“Well done.” The Maid replied indifferently.

Bucky laughed, then puzzledly asked, “But, why did you bring me away so quickly, I think I could continue performing, would’ve surely shut those doubters up completely!”

“I have my intentions.” You Ye shook her head, “Besides, that man, though alive now, is still in danger. Because you merely accelerated the healing of his body wounds, but the bullet still remains in his body.”

Bucky thought for a moment, “But he should’ve died, and I gave him time…”

You Ye took out the olive green Legal Crown, “So you very fortunately obtained the primordial source of faith. In the despair of near-death, being rescued, and will being compressed in an instant, sublimated into fervent worship for you… Truly a lucky fellow.”

How to say.

Though somewhat unintentional, the final result—turned out much better than imagined.

The club’s maid took a closer look at Bucky, then walked into the night, “Find a place to rest yourself, that’s all for today.”

“Huh? What are we supposed to do next?”

“Do nothing… just wait.”

The maid left, silently and quietly. Bucky took a deep breath, then walked to the railing of the rooftop, gradually calming down while watching the chaotic street below… Perhaps he should wait until the place is cleared before leaving.

At this time, he suddenly remembered something and quickly ran to the only iron gate leading downstairs.

“Locked, locked?? How am I going to get down…”

…

…

On the moving stretcher, Caroline’s eyelids twitched and then slowly opened. She took a deep breath and suddenly sat up, breathing heavily, while frantically touching her neck.

Her neck was red with a very noticeable bruise.

Caroline looked around, surrounded by several other injured people, some seemingly sprained, while others were lying down playing on their phones or something.

Many police cars appeared around, the originally blocked street had been cleared considerably, several police cars parked nearby, and the red and blue rotating lights flashed around.

Suddenly, an officer walked up to Caroline, squatted down, and asked, “Miss, you’re awake? Are you okay? Are you clear-minded?”

Caroline shook her head, then nodded, opened her mouth trying to say something, but when she remembered her involvement in the Livia murder case, she swallowed her words back.

“Miss, who was the assailant that attacked you? What’s your relationship? Why did he want to kill you?” The officer questioned Caroline again.

“That person?” Caroline looked tense.

The officer shook his head, “He escaped during the firefight.”

“I… my head hurts so much, can… can you get me a doctor?” Caroline held her head with a pained expression.

The officer had no choice but to say, “Miss, wait a moment, I’ll be right back.”

Seeing the officer leave, Caroline quickly got up, the officer kept turning back to look, seeing Caroline’s actions, he hurriedly tried to stop her, but Caroline picked up the stretcher from the ground and threw it towards him, then quickly dashed into a nearby alley.

By the time the officer caught up, she had disappeared.

“Calling, calling, a suspicious woman wearing a light blue jacket, approximately 1.75 meters tall, around twenty years old, from the Fourth Avenue location…”

…

…

11:00 PM.

In a basement-turned-small bar, a lot of people were gathered—and people were still arriving one after another.

Now two more men arrived. Their car parked far away, but neither of them got out immediately.

“Boss of Boston, Johnny has successfully escaped, but he got shot in the shoulder, do you think we should…” One of the men asked the Boss of Boston, who was sitting in the driver’s seat.

These two were evidently the ones who had kidnapped Caroline and Arno.

“Can’t even keep an eye on a woman and still got shot!” The Boss of Boston spoke harshly, “Johnny is really getting worse! But since he’s gone, let’s not bother with him now, we have business to take care of! Get out of the car… it should start soon. When we go in, be sharp, don’t cause trouble, there are some tough characters inside!”

The underling nodded and then asked puzzled, “Boss, who are we meeting that makes you so nervous?”

Boston shook his head, “I’m not sure either, but it seems like a very powerful guy. I just saw Giant Ah San’s car, even he’s here.”

“Giant Ah San! He owns two major streets; such a formidable person came too?” The underling clicked his tongue in admiration.

Someone like Giant Ah San was already a big shot in their eyes. As for the Boss of Boston, he was just leading a small group with a few guys, hustling around without even a fixed territory—of course, there were many gangs like them in the city.

Boston Boss pushed open the door, instantly many eyes in the bar focused on him. Boston saw some familiar faces and also many that he had to look up to.

He quickly led his men in, heading towards a corner of the bar where a man with a scar on his forehead was already seated, with two strong guys standing behind him—this was the only guy Boston had a connection with.

Boston received the invitation through this man.

“Has it started, Boss Lanqi?” Boston sat down and hurriedly asked.

“Why is it you?” Lanqi frowned.

Boston shrugged and was about to speak when Boss Lanqi suddenly gestured, “Shh, the boss is here.”

Boston quickly looked towards Lanqi’s gaze.

A woman wearing sunglasses, with her golden hair tied up, dressed in western black women’s clothing, walked out from the inner hall of the bar, followed by four strong men.

The woman glanced around then said, “Sorry, I just attended a rather important banquet, hope I didn’t keep you waiting.”

The woman had just finished speaking when a bald man biting a cigar raised his hand, “Who exactly are you? Why did you summon us?”

The woman calmly said, “Are you satisfied with the fifty thousand US dollars that came with the invitation?”

The bald man sneered, “If it weren’t for the money, I wouldn’t have come, nor would I have the patience to wait for you for so long… But if you don’t clearly explain your purpose, sorry about the fifty thousand, I won’t be giving it to you.”

“It was meant as a meeting gift for everyone here, I’m certainly glad you could accept it.” The woman smiled lightly and suddenly clapped her hands.

The crowd instantly became tense, the underlings behind several bosses quickly pulled out their guns.

“No need to be tense, I’m just going to show you something.” The woman waved her hand.

One of the men behind her came forward with a black box, he placed it on the counter, then opened it.

“I hope everyone can become my partners and sell these things well.” The woman with sunglasses stood with her hands behind her back and looked at everyone again.

“What is this?” A slightly plump middle-aged man stood up, walked to the counter, picked up a packet of coarse salt-like stuff from the box, then suddenly frowned, “Is this… bath salt?”

“It’s a newly developed product.” The woman with golden hair and sunglasses clapped her hands again.

Of the several men she had brought, two quickly walked back inside, then brought out a haggard-looking guy.

This haggard-looking guy was clearly heavily addicted, looking dazed, even after being thrown to the ground by the two strong men, he continued to laugh foolishly.

The woman with the golden hair gave another instruction, a man picked up some of the ‘goods’ from the black box and fed it into the addict’s mouth.

“You can see the effect,” the woman said calmly.
