Chapter 808: Chapter 52: Wonderful Times

According to the plan, they need to depart from Sao Paulo by train, reach a certain city, then transfer to a plane and leave the country, heading to the ‘homeland’ that Song Haoran mentioned.

It’s a place in another country—of course, geographically speaking, it’s still located on the South American mainland.

At dawn, they set off by car, leaving Rio, which was experiencing a power outage due to yesterday’s storm, and caught the train in Sao Paulo.

Song Haoran visited Luo Qiu last night, and received Luo Qiu’s reply by midnight.

He wasn’t surprised that Luo Qiu responded so quickly—even though this seemed unexpectedly smooth to him.

However, his Super Intuition felt there wasn’t any problem with this matter: Without a doubt, Song Haoran very much trusted his Super Intuition.

The train roared past the lush green forest paths.

Now, he is with Luo Qiu in the train’s first-class cabin—naturally, Song Haoran is not one to skimp, certainly not during travel.

At the same time, Luo Qiu also saw the so-called Xiao Li and A Qiang.

Of course, he now knows Xiao Li’s name is ‘Lluvia,’ and ‘Oni’ was the real name of the one who once used the alias A Qiang.

Lluvia and Oni had somewhat peculiar looks towards Luo Qiu—because Song Haoran did not reveal Luo Qiu’s identity to them, only saying he would be a very important ‘guest’ of the Old Man.

At the same time, Lluvia and Oni also learned through some special channels that the Old Man, who hadn’t left the base in recent years, seemed to be making a move this time, arranging the itinerary for this meeting with Luo Qiu, in a city outside the base.

Although not in the base, it is a place where the Iris’s influence is deeply rooted, a place where the Iris can be considered as a local ruler.

Nevertheless, this is indeed the first time in years that the Old Man will be leaving—even someone like the Fire King, a traditional South American power figure, wouldn’t be visited by the Old Man leaving the base personally.

Luo Qiu’s identity really piqued Lluvia and Oni’s curiosity, not to mention Song Haoran’s attitude towards Luo Qiu which was incredibly affectionate, almost unbelievably so.

“Could this be the strategist’s illegitimate child?”

Of course, Lluvia and Oni were not in the same cabin with Song Haoran and Luo Qiu, but instead were on guard outside like guards.

Lluvia rolled her eyes; she wondered how she had partnered with this guy all this time, managing to endure until now.

Oni wasn’t surprised, laughing, “You better believe it. In my village there were plenty who became dads at thirteen or fourteen! I’ve heard that the strategist’s homeland has early marriage and childbearing traditions too!”

“The strategist is only 29 this year! Luo Qiu is obviously 21 or 22! You can have kids at seven or eight?” Lluvia rolled her eyes again.

Oni shrugged shamelessly, “Anyway, I lost my virginity at nine, to the lady next door. People always called me ‘Oni from next door’!”

“You’re just a breeding pig,” Lluvia stomped on Oni’s foot hard.

The two started to bicker—and just then, someone walked past them and seemed to drop something: a note.

Lluvia pretended to pick it up casually, then opened it and glanced at Oni. Finally, the two left their seats one after another, heading to another train car.

Before leaving, Lluvia took out her phone and sent a message to Song Haoran.

…

Song Haoran seemed particularly interested in the scenery outside the train window.

He leaned his cheek against his hand, watching the outside, while his other hand played with a round tag. This tag was something he always wore around his neck, while Luo Qiu sat opposite him, quietly reading a book.

The phone placed on the small table suddenly chimed with a text message alert. Luo Qiu and Song Haoran both glanced at the phone, and their eyes met unexpectedly.

Song Haoran seemed in no hurry to check the message, just smiled slightly and continued to look outside.

“A very special tag,” Luo Qiu suddenly remarked.

Song Haoran looked over, “Interested?”

Luo Qiu said, “Just curious, it’s rare to see someone wearing a tag. Is there a special story behind this? You seem to be thinking about something.”

Song Haoran suddenly whispered mysteriously, “What if I told you this tag is a gift from God to mankind, it brings incredible power to its holder, would you believe it?”

Luo Qiu was taken aback, glanced around and chuckled, “Like the black giant snake from your adventure story?”

“You’ve not answered me, do you believe or not?” Song Haoran’s face showed even more playful colors.

Luo Qiu replied simply and straightforwardly, “At least show me what the so-called incredible power is.”

“Well, watch closely!” Song Haoran took a deep breath and opened his hands in front of Luo Qiu.

His fingers were very long, quite suited for playing piano.

Song Haoran lifted his sleeves, then waved in front of Luo Qiu, took out a coin, placed it on his left hand, and then clenched both fists simultaneously, placing them in front of Luo Qiu.

“Which hand is the coin in?” Song Haoran smiled and asked.

Luo Qiu pointed at his right hand.

But Song Haoran opened his right hand, revealing nothing.

He then opened his left hand, the coin still there and unchanged. Song Haoran chuckled, “Does this count as incredible power?”

Luo Qiu smiled warmly, then looked out the window, “You’re like sunlight.”

“I just feel you’re a bit stuffy.” Song Haoran placed the coin on the table and started spinning it, seeming to amuse himself with just this one coin.

“Actually, with just the two of us, there’s no need to book this whole place.” Luo Qiu casually mentioned, “Why not let your friends join us here?”

“They have other things to do, staying in the rear car is fine.” Song Haoran looked at Luo Qiu, blinking, “As for booking here, the reason is simple.”

Luo Qiu showed a doubtful look.

Then Song Haoran suddenly clapped his hands, and a stewardess from outside the first-class cabin came in, holding a bottle of red wine.

“Drink?” Luo Qiu was a bit surprised.

But Song Haoran shook his head, then suddenly stood up, “She’s here to drink with you.”

Song Haoran smiled as he walked behind the stewardess, gently holding her arms, “She will keep you entertained, of course, if you want to do something else, there’s time… Hmm, I also have something to do.”

“Wait…” Luo Qiu frowned.

“Take good care of this distinguished guest for me, my beautiful lady.”

“Yes, Mr. Song.”

Then… Song Haoran just patted his behind and dashed off.

Undoubtedly, she was a woman with an outstanding figure and appearance, even giving a flirtatious glance—she was Asian, very much fitting the aesthetic standards of his countrymen.

“Sir, may I sit down?” The woman sat down and spoke with a fragrant breath, “My name is Gan Hong.”

Boss Luo nodded, also curious about the woman’s accent, “Your accent, where are you from?”

The woman had a flirtatious look, gently bit her lip, then took two glasses from under the table, intentionally or unintentionally leaning closer to Boss Luo.

“My father is Vietnamese, my mother is Thai-Karen,” Gan Hong smiled slightly, skillfully opening the wine bottle.

“Did Mr. Song say anything to you?” Boss Luo curiously asked.

Gan Hong softly said, “He asked me to serve you well, to your satisfaction. No matter…”

She slightly leaned down, an enchanting and deep line at her neckline faintly appeared, her voice even more gentle, “…anything at all.”

“Anything at all?” Boss Luo nodded.

“Anything at all.” Gan Hong was gentle, like a slave from ancient times.

“Then just sleep.” Boss Luo nodded.

Gan Hong was taken aback, then she reacted, pursing her lips and laughing, “Sir, you’re really straightforward… So, how do you want to sleep? Is it below, or… or… or… or…”

As Gan Hong lowered her head, she suddenly fell asleep, and Luo Qiu shook his head, slightly swinging his arm outward, and Gan Hong’s body was moved to a seat beside the aisle.

“With the surname Gan, it should be a major surname in Viet/nam.”

A familiar voice sounded.

After dealing with Gan Hong, Luo Qiu, who had just opened his book, heard You Ye’s voice. Boss Luo closed the book and lifted his gaze.

In the aisle of the carriage, the maid was dressed in a train attendant’s outfit, pushing a dining cart. For a long time, Boss Luo had vaguely known that the maid had a penchant for costume changes.

For example, when she went to someone else’s laboratory, she would wear a white coat, saying it matched the environment better.

“Sir, it’s afternoon tea time. Would you like anything?”

If you didn’t know her, you might just see her as a high-quality attendant responsible for welcoming first-class passengers on this train.

Boss Luo chuckled cooperatively, “What do you have here?”

The attendant smiled, “Cupuacu salad and bacon rolls. For drinks, there’s a special fruit tea or Ipanema coffee.”

The attendant opened the exquisite silver dish covers one by one and poured fruit tea and coffee into two different cups, and lastly poured a glass of water into an ordinary glass, placing them in front of Boss Luo one by one.

Napkins and cutlery were also placed neatly.

“Sir, please enjoy.” The maid turned attendant nodded with a smile and then left, pushing the cart away.

“Sit down. Since you’re here, keep me company.” Luo Qiu instructed.

Originally, the portion was enough for two people. Seeing the disguised maid sitting across from him at the table, Luo Qiu asked amusingly, “I remember I just left in the morning?”

“But didn’t the master say that I can now handle the store matters independently? And the master requested I remember to arrange meal times and try the most delightful flavors?”

“Hmm… And then?” Boss Luo asked with interest.

The maid said softly, “Dining with you would be the flavor worth remembering.”

Unfolding the napkin, Luo Qiu smiled and nodded, “My uncle won’t be back so soon… Uh, dear chef, aren’t you going to introduce this bacon roll’s preparation to me?”

“I’d be delighted.”

The train ran on its tracks, its roaring sound rhythmically echoing, with the afternoon sunlight filtering through blinds into mottled patches of light.

Rushing past the lush greenery.

Leisurely moments.

And quietly sleeping… the original attendant, Miss Gan Hong.

…

Song Haoran came from the service counter in the rear carriage, carrying a can of coffee. After passing through several carriages, he finally found Oni and Lluvia.

They had arrived earlier, now sitting in a booth, with another older man seated inside. Oni was beside him.

Seeing Song Haoran approaching, Oni stood up, pretending not to know him, “Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.”

Song Haoran shrugged, giving way for Oni to pass and then sat down himself. Looking at the man inside, he said casually, “I’m a bit tired, mind if I rest here for a while?”

The man said casually, “Suit yourself.”

Song Haoran seemed to make conversation, “What line of work are you in, sir?”

The man’s eyes flickered, seemingly nervous, but his voice remained calm… or deliberately composed, “Meat products, a small business. What about you?”

“I run a farm,” Song Haoran said proudly, “Every livestock on our farm is fed the best feed, regularly checked, vaccinated, and all documents are complete. Of course, the price is a bit higher, but it’s definitely worth the value.”

“Is that so?” The man nodded, “Do you deliver?”

“There’s no service that money can’t buy. As long as you pay more, we can deliver anywhere,” Song Haoran laughed, “Of course, if it’s to outer space, we have no way of doing that.”

“What’s the price?” the man continued asking.

Song Haoran replied casually, “That depends on whether you want beef, lamb, or pork.”

“Beef.”

“How much?”

“One will suffice, clean slaughtered, with all documents and procedures complete, then frozen.”

“The address?”

“Here,” the man took out a card.

“Our farm’s rule is to pay half the deposit first, okay?” Song Haoran took the card.

“It’s fine.”

At that moment, opposite Lluvia adjusted her clothes nonchalantly and then left—before leaving, she took a black briefcase from under the table.

Shortly after, Oni returned, looking at Song Haoran still sitting in his place, he frowned, “Buddy, that’s my spot!”

“Sorry, sorry, couldn’t buy a seated ticket,” Song Haoran stood up hastily, apologizing, “How about I sit opposite? I saw that lady also left, how about letting me sit for a bit longer?”

“Scram!” Oni scowled fiercely.

Song Haoran quickly stood up, “OK, OK, EASY! EASY, MAN! I’ll go now, OK?”

No one paid attention.

Because many people did the same, buying only standing tickets and searching for empty places to sit.

…

…

When Song Haoran returned, the attendant named Gan Hong was just walking out from the first-class carriage.

She rubbed her neck, looking somewhat puzzled.

Song Haoran looked at her in surprise and blinked.

Gan Hong shook her head, biting her lip, “Sorry, young master, I think I fell asleep…”

“Really fell asleep?” Song Haoran blinked again, “This kid, can’t see that, really fell asleep? Not bad, quite bold… Seems there’s some hope for expanding the family lineage.”

“Young master, actually…”

“Alright, alright, you go on with your work.” Song Haoran waved his hand dismissively, “Go back and claim your reward.”

“No, young master, actually I…”

“Go on, go on,” Song Haoran continued waving, then pushed the door and went inside. Gan Hong, seeing this, felt there might have been some misunderstanding but didn’t want to make a fuss, so she quietly left.

Song Haoran returned to his seat and patted Luo Qiu on the shoulder, “How is it, a pleasant time?”

“It’s alright.” Boss Luo smiled, then looked back down at his book.

Song Haoran cursed silently: introverted show-off.
