Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 46: Bandits Enter the VillageChapter 46: Bandits Enter the Village
Not long after Chen Huaian left, Wang Ping came, but he was a little confused when he looked at the cows in the cowshed. He remembered that the Hu family had no cows.

To him, it looked more like Chen Huaian’s cow, but it was late at night and the wind and sand in the air made it difficult for him to see clearly, so he simply didn’t care whose cow it was.

He came to the door of Liu’er’s house. Before he even got close, he smelled the aroma of meat. He couldn’t help but frown and said to himself, ”Do they have any extra food?”

Although he was a little confused, he still knocked on the door of the Hu family, ”Liu’er, open the door, it’s me.”

When Liu’er heard Wang Ping’s voice, his eyes were filled with joy, and he ran to open the door happily. The moment he opened the door and saw Wang Ping, he shouted loudly to Mrs. Hu: ”Mother, Uncle Wang is here!”

”Let Brother Wang in quickly.” Mrs. Hu said, and Liu’er happily welcomed Wang Ping into the house.

Wang Ping often helped their family, so they thought that the piece of meat at the door was also sent by him, but at this moment, they were stunned when they saw the meat in Wang Ping’s hand.

Hu asked in confusion: ”Brother Wang, you have already delivered the meat once, why do you want to deliver it again?”

Wang Ping was confused by Hu’s question, ”I just got here, when did I bring you meat?”

The four of them were a little confused at this moment.

”If it wasn’t sent by you, Brother Wang, then who could it be?” asked Mrs. Hu. She didn’t know how many people besides Wang Ping would be willing to help them?

In this yellow sand, it is difficult to even have enough food, let alone to help others? Therefore, few people would choose to do so, because it would make their poor lives even more difficult.

”I don’t know either,” Wang Ping said. But suddenly, he thought of the cow in Liu’er’s cowshed. He quickly asked, ”Did a blind man come here?”

When Liu’er heard Wang Ping’s words, he felt that there was something wrong with his tone, and Wang Ping’s tone sounded a little urgent.

”Yes, I thought he was a strange person because he looked unfamiliar, so I chased him away.” Liu’er said, and Wang Ping’s mouth twitched after hearing it.

Liuer noticed that Wang Ping looked a little strange, so he asked anxiously, ”Uncle Wang, what’s wrong?”

”It’s okay, this piece of meat is for you.” Wang Ping said as he handed over the meat in his hand. This piece of meat was enough for them to eat for three days.

”Thank you, Brother Wang.” Hu said as she tried to stand up to thank Wang Ping. Wang Ping quickly stopped Hu who was about to stand up and said, ”Just take a good rest. There’s no need to be so polite between you and me.”

Wang Ping said, and he was about to leave here, but when he was about to leave, Liu’er’s voice sounded behind him, ”Uncle Wang, why don’t you sit down and have a meal together before leaving?”

Wang Ping smiled and said, ”No need. I had already eaten when I came here. You guys can eat now.”

Even if he hadn’t eaten yet, he didn’t want to eat anymore. He wanted to find Chen Huaian and ask him something.

”Okay then.” There was some frustration in Liu’er’s voice, but Wang Ping, who invited him to leave, did not hear the frustration in Liu’er’s voice.

Wang Ping left. Liu’er felt very uncomfortable watching Wang Ping leaving. He really wanted to keep Wang Ping for dinner and taste his cooking.

”Cough cough...”

Two coughs interrupted Liu’er’s thoughts. He quickly closed the door and looked at Mrs. Hu, ”Mother, sister...”

”I’m fine, let’s eat.”

”Brother, I’m fine too. I want another bowl of rice!” Ah Ling handed the bowl to Liu’er. Liu’er wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes and said, ”Okay!”

……

At this moment, on a piece of sand, the sound of a flute was melodious and the bright moonlight was shining. A blind man in black stood in the moonlight, and with the sound of the flute, he seemed a little lonely.

But suddenly, the flute sound stopped.

”You came.”

”Did you send the meat to Liu’er’s house?”

”Ah.”

Chen Huaian did not deny it and admitted that he was the one who gave it.

“The music is really beautiful.”

”I know.”

The two of them spoke to each other, but their sentences were very brief.

”I dragged you into this crisis, I...” Wang Ping found it difficult to speak. He didn’t know what to say. They went out hunting at that time, and they didn’t expect to meet Chen Huaian, let alone Chen Huaian to be so lucky to catch such a big wild boar.

However, Wang Ping had selfish motives. The reason why he agreed to Chen Huaian was because the sand bandits would attack tomorrow. At that time, he would push Chen Huaian out. The more people died, the more hope they would have of survival.

”I don’t care. After all, people are always selfish and will think about themselves first.” ”Then why did you agree to my request?”

Wang Ping asked in confusion. Logically speaking, Chen Huaian shouldn’t agree to his request after knowing all this.

Because he thought this was too selfish. If it were him, he would never agree to it.

”It’s just what I thought.”

Chen Huaian said. Wang Ping was a little confused when he heard Chen Huaian’s answer. In his opinion, no one would help others for no reason, because in his opinion such people were really stupid.

But what Wang Ping didn’t know was that Chen Huaian always did things as he pleased.

It’s about teaching and educating people, it’s about guarding the city gates, and now… it’s also about that.

If one day he doesn’t do this, he will no longer be Chen Huaian.

”You are really a weirdo.” Wang Ping didn’t know what to say to Chen Huaian, and in the end he only said these eight words.

”Is it strange? But I feel like this is who I am.”

Chen Huaian said with a smile, Wang Ping let out a long breath, he couldn’t understand Chen Huaian, but since Chen Huaian was willing to take action, the issue of the sand bandits might not be a problem.

”I want to move away from here, do you have any suggestions?”

”Just make your own decision, no need to ask me.”

Chen Huaian didn’t intend to get involved in this matter, so let them decide for themselves.

”it is good.”

Wang Ping left after he finished speaking, perhaps to discuss moving, or perhaps because he didn’t get the answer he wanted from Chen Huaian, he went to ask someone else.

After Wang Ping left, Chen Huaian stood there quietly. After an unknown amount of time, he put the flute to his lips again and played Wugui...

The next day, when it was still dawn, a noisy sound was heard outside the village, and everyone in the village got up at this moment and walked towards the village entrance.

Some of them had dull expressions, while others looked angry.

”Damn it, so early!”

”Zhao Lao Er, keep your voice down. Be careful not to be overheard by others. They will report you behind your back. These sand bandits are not easy to deal with.”

”Would I be afraid of them?” Zhao Laoer asked, but his panicked eyes betrayed him while he spoke.

”Don’t talk for a moment and just listen to me.” Wang Ping said to them, looking around as he spoke.

He was looking for Chen Huaian, but after searching for a while, he was disappointed because Chen Huaian did not appear among the group of people.

Soon, they all arrived at the entrance of the village.

As soon as they arrived, a scarred man with a knife looked at them, followed by more than ten people.

He looked at the villagers and said in a very arrogant tone, ”Hey, hey, are you ready for the food to be handed in today?”

As soon as the man called Tiger Master finished speaking, Wang Ping pulled a cart filled with wild boar meat that Chen Huaian had hunted yesterday. ”Tiger Master, this is for you.” Wang Ping said with an apologetic smile.

But Tiger Lord didn’t appreciate it at all, ”It’s too little! Bring some more.”

”Master Tiger, we have to live too. This is really the most food we can give.”

”I don’t care. If you can’t produce it today, I will massacre your village.” said Tiger Lord. He swung the big knife in his hand and thrust it into the sand, looking very ferocious.

The villagers were frightened and squatted on the ground, trembling, except for Zhao Laoer and others who did not squat...

Lord Hu doesn’t care about Zhao Laoer and the others. In his opinion, Zhao Laoer and the others are just jumping clowns and don’t pose much threat.

He looked at the villagers who were frightened by him, frowning, ”Is there someone who hasn’t come yet?”

”My mother is seriously ill in bed and can’t come.” Lord Hu looked towards the place where the voice came from. The owner of the voice was Liu’er.

”I don’t care, call her over!”

”I won’t!” There was no trace of fear on Liu’er’s stubborn face. He looked at Tiger Master with firm eyes. That firm look made Tiger Master feel startled, but it was only a startle.
