Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 36 Chen Huaian's murderous intentionChapter 36 Chen Huaian’s murderous intention

Chen Huaian originally wanted to investigate Zhang’s house during the day, but he thought about the tight security during the day and he didn’t want to be exposed for the time being, so he decided to go at night.

Taking advantage of this time, he returned to his rented house and told Lao Niu about this.

After hearing this, Lao Niu exhaled white air from his nose, and it was obvious that he was also angry.

It barked angrily and was looking for something in the small yard. Seeing this, Chen Huaian couldn’t help but be curious. He asked the old cow, ”What are you looking for?”

”Moo.” (Axe.)
After hearing this, Chen Huaian’s mouth twitched involuntarily, ”Are you going to kill someone?”

Chen Huaian did not doubt that Lao Niu could pick up the axe. He was worried that Lao Niu would use the axe to kill people indiscriminately in Zhang’s mansion. This news would spread in Heshui County and cause unnecessary panic.

”Moo!” (I just want to axe people with virtue!)
”What a great axeman, but we don’t have an axe...”

”Moo.” (Buy one.)
”No money.” Chen Huaian replied and told Lao Niu where all the money he earned today went.

After hearing this, the old cow said that his own hooves would also do, and at worst he could just use his hooves to subdue the enemy.

The corner of Chen Huaian’s mouth twitched again.

……

Late at night, a figure appeared stealthily on the roof of Zhang’s house. He was not wearing a nightgown specially used for assassinations, but just ordinary black clothes.

”Fortunately the old cow didn’t follow us, otherwise the tile would have been crushed by it.”

Chen Huaian said in his heart, thinking of the way the old cow raised its hoof today, he couldn’t help but shake his head slightly. He didn’t expect that the calm old cow would become so furious one day.

Chen Huaian looked at Zhang’s house and collected his thoughts. He heard Zhang Xin’s scolding.

”What the hell are you doing? Two living people left and no one noticed.”

”What’s the point of me raising you!”

Zhang Xin became angrier as she spoke, her body shaking violently with anger.

There were several people kneeling in front of him. How could the huge Zhang Mansion be the responsibility of only these few people? These few people were just used to vent Zhang Xin’s anger.

”Miss, we...”

”I must find her alive or dead. I must find that girl back for me. Otherwise, my reputation will be ruined and you will not be able to live.”

”And that blind man, even if it’s just pieces of his body, you have to bring it back to me.”

”Yes.”

The people in front of her didn’t dare to look up at all, and responded to Zhang Xin with their heads down.

”What is it? Go quickly!”

The people in front of her quickly stood up and disappeared from Zhang Xin’s sight.

”Chen Huaian.”

Zhang Xin gritted her teeth and said Chen Huaian’s name.

When Chen Huaian heard Zhang Xin call him like that, he couldn’t help but feel a chill down his spine.

”I wonder how many people Zhang Xin has killed to have such a strong murderous intent.”

The scarlet aura behind her seemed substantial. Chen Huaian remembered the piles of bones he saw in the room at the end of the corridor today. These might be just the tip of the iceberg of the people she had killed.

To kill so many people without being discovered, there must be someone behind the scenes. There is no doubt that this person is Zhang Xin’s father - Zhang Cheng.

”Birds of a feather, they are all bad people.”

Chen Huaian said in his heart, stood up and jumped away. His goal was clear. He wanted to go to Zhang Cheng’s room to listen and see if he could hear some unknown news.

When Chen Huaian arrived on the roof of Zhang Cheng’s room, he heard Zhang Cheng cursing;
”What a bunch of losers, you can’t even watch a blind man.” ”What use do I have for you, you might as well die!”

Zhang Cheng was cursing, but none of the five people in front of him answered. It was best for them to endure Zhang Cheng’s rage, otherwise they would not know how they died the next day.

At the beginning, there was a man who was dissatisfied with Zhang Cheng’s decision and contradicted him in person. The next day, that man’s body was found floating in the river outside Heshui County.

Everyone understood what was going on, but no one dared to speak out.

”Get out, get out, all of you.”

Zhang Cheng waved his hands impatiently and told them to go away.

When the five people heard Zhang Cheng’s words, they quickly left the room, leaving Zhang Cheng alone in the huge room.

”Hey, what’s this?”

Zhang Cheng no longer had the rage he had before, and instead felt a little depressed.

If this matter were to be exposed, it would have a huge impact on him.

The Empress of the Yuan Dynasty had recently launched a major crackdown on official corruption, and he was very afraid that the Empress would investigate him. He reminded Zhang Xin more than once to be careful, but Zhang Xin simply didn’t listen. However, she was his only daughter, so he had no choice but to spoil her.

But in the end, something went wrong.

”I hope the Queen won’t find out that I withheld most of the disaster relief money given to the people. Otherwise, I will really be dead.”

When Chen Huaian heard the news, he frowned, ”You dare to withhold the disaster relief money, who should I kill if not you?” Chen Huaian said in his heart.

”No, I have to find an opportunity to transfer all the money I got and then find a place to hide.”

Zhang Cheng made up his mind. He looked around until he was sure that there was no one around. He walked to a vase and gently turned it. With a rumbling sound, a door slowly opened right in front of the vase.

Zhang Cheng walked in and the door was closed.

There was no sound in the room. Chen Huaian moved his ears and after making sure there was no sound, he jumped down from the roof. He was looking for the object that could rotate.

He was sure that one of the objects could be turned, but he didn’t know which one, so he had to try them one by one until he found that he couldn’t push a vase.

“That’s it.”

Chen Huaian imitated Zhang Cheng’s movements and gently turned the vase. A loud bang was heard, and the door that was expected was opened.

Chen Huaian walked straight in without any hesitation.

He followed Zhang Cheng all the way. The passage here was better than Zhang Xin’s. Moreover, there were gold, silver and jewelry as soon as he entered the passage. He couldn’t imagine how much Zhang Cheng had embezzled behind his back.

”Oh, what a pity, I can’t take so much with me. I have worked hard for most of my life, and this is all I have. I am so unwilling to accept this.”

Zhang Cheng was holding a small box and talking to the gold, silver and jewelry all over the floor. There were some rare treasures among them. He didn’t know where Zhang Cheng got them from, but seeing the pained look on Zhang Cheng’s face, he knew they were very valuable.

”So, these were all looted from your people?”

Chen Huaian’s voice suddenly sounded, his tone was cold, and his voice frightened Zhang Cheng so much that he dropped the box in his hand.

”who is it!”

Zhang Cheng shouted in panic. Chen Huaian walked out slowly from the darkness with a calm expression. When Zhang Cheng saw Chen Huaian, he was first shocked and then extremely angry. If it weren’t for Chen Huaian, this would not have happened.

He said to Chen Huaian gloomily: ”I was looking for you, but I didn’t expect you to dare to appear in front of me.”

”Why shouldn’t I dare?” Chen Huaian asked back, ”I’m here to kill you.”

As soon as Chen Huaian finished speaking, the temperature in the small space dropped sharply and became extremely cold.
