Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 45 A Happy MealChapter 45 A Happy Meal

”Lao Niu, do you want to stay with them for one night?” Chen Huaian asked. They were going to leave anyway, and the two kids couldn’t stop them.

”Moo.” (Yes.)
The two siblings were very confused when they saw Chen Huaian talking to Lao Niu.

Liu’er asked, ”You are really a weird person. You actually talk to a cow. Are you crazy?”

”elder brother……”

”A Ling, you go in first. I think this man might be a lunatic. I’m afraid he might hurt you by mistake.”

A Ling didn’t listen to Liu’er. She looked at Chen Huaian. She didn’t know why, but Chen Huaian gave her a very comfortable feeling.

”My brother often does this to protect us. I hope you don’t mind.”

A Ling said, it seemed like she had used up all her strength to say these few words. She was gasping for breath, her face was pale, and she looked very uncomfortable.

”I don’t mind. You should go into the house first. It’s windy and dusty outside, which is not good for your health.” Chen Huaian said to A Ling.

He understood that in this environment, Liu’er was like a thorny fence. There was an extremely tender place deep in his heart, where his sister and his mother were.

He armed himself with ferocity just to protect his sister and his mother.

After Chen Huaian finished speaking, A Ling went into the house, and he also left. Liu’er stood there, watching Chen Huaian gradually go away, and the expression on his face relaxed a little.

Liu’er entered the house. His mother, Mrs. Hu, asked him what was going on. Liu’er briefly told her what had happened before, and then asked A Ling, ”That man is so strange, why did you come out?”

”Brother, I don’t think he is a bad person.”

Ah Ling said, and she started coughing. Liu Er, who was about to reprimand Ah Ling, couldn’t help but look distressed. ”It’s still too dangerous. Next time, you should just stay in the house and don’t come out.”

Liu’er said gently. Seeing this, Mrs. Hu, who was lying on the bed, asked Liu’er what happened. Liu’er simply told Mrs. Hu what happened. After listening, Mrs. Hu frowned.

”Liu’er, it’s someone else’s stuff after all. Next time he comes to ask for it, you must return it to him.”

Mrs. Hu said that when Liu’er found the old cow, she asked him, ”Whose cow is this? It would be very rude to bring it here without permission.”

After saying this, Mrs. Hu started coughing violently. She covered her mouth with a handkerchief. When she opened it, it was covered with bright red blood and some blood clots.

Mrs. Hu quietly put away her handkerchief. She knew that she was already terminally ill...

Liu’er wanted to argue, if they didn’t bring the old ox, it would be difficult for the two of them to carry Hu back. The reason why Hu went out to fetch water was that she felt sorry for her two children who had to fetch water very hard every day. There was no water in the water tank this time, and she thought of fetching some water herself while the children were not at home, but she didn’t get any water and fainted on the way.

Liu’er, who was lectured by Mrs. Hu, had a distressed look on his face. ”Okay, mother, I get it. I won’t do it again next time.”

”Yes, we know we were wrong. Mother, please don’t be angry. My brother and I will obey you.”

A Ling said from the side, her well-behaved eyes made people feel pity for her.

Mrs. Hu didn’t say anything. She asked Liu’er and A Ling to cook something to eat. It was almost nightfall and they hadn’t eaten yet.

But Liu’er and A Ling looked at Hu with some embarrassment. Seeing that they did not move, Hu asked weakly, ”Have you finished the food that Brother Wang sent last time?”

Liu’er and A Ling nodded. Seeing this, Mrs. Hu couldn’t help but tears of helplessness. Seeing that Mrs. Hu was crying, Liu’er and A Ling hurried forward to comfort her, ”Mom, we are not hungry. Look, my belly is still round.” Liu’er said to Mrs. Hu with a smile and patted his belly.

But in fact he didn’t have much meat on his body and was very thin. He didn’t know that the ”bang bang” sound he made when he slapped his belly made Mrs. Hu realize that he was actually very hungry, but he was just pretending not to be hungry.

”Yes, mother, we are not hungry.” A Ling looked at Mrs. Hu and said. She imitated Liu’er and patted her belly, and her belly also made a ”bang bang” sound.

Hu saw it all and felt pain in his heart. If the pillar of his family had not been killed by the sand bandits, perhaps his family of three would not have had to live such a hard life.

”Let’s go to Brother Wang’s house tomorrow and ask for some food.” Hu said. The hatred in her heart was extremely strong at the moment. She hated the bandits, and she hated herself even more for not being able to do anything.

bang bang-

There was a sudden knock on the door, and Liu’er became alert instantly. He believed that everyone in this village was a good person, he just didn’t believe Chen Huaian.

”Liu’er, go and see who is here.” Mrs. Hu said breathlessly. After hearing what Mrs. Hu said, Liu’er went to open the door. He opened the door but saw no one. Just as he closed the door and was about to go back to the house, he was surprised to find a piece of meat on the ground.

He picked up the meat on the ground with great joy. He was extremely hungry at the moment and did not think about the origin of the meat. He picked up the meat and went into the house and closed the door.

He ran into the house and shouted happily to Mrs. Hu, ”Mother, we have food! Some kind-hearted person sent us a piece of meat. It’s right at the door.”

He was very excited, as they had not eaten meat for a long time. A Ling was drooling when she saw the meat in Liu’er’s hand. She was at the age when she loved to eat, but she had not had many delicious meals.

”Could it be that Brother Wang sent it?” asked Mrs. Hu. She also had doubts in her heart, but when she thought of her child’s hungry stomach, she suppressed her doubts.

Liu Er shook his head slightly when he heard what Hu said and said, ”I will ask Uncle Wang tomorrow. I think he should have sent it. I heard that they killed a big wild boar today.”

”Okay, then you cook first.” Liu’er’s words also made her believe that it was Wang Ping who sent it, and he might have left early because of something.

Liu’er nodded. Ah Ling wanted to help, but Liu’er stopped her. ”Just wait for dinner. Cooking is what I should do as a brother. Wait for me to make you something delicious.”

After Liu’er finished speaking, he walked towards the kitchen and started to prepare dinner for tonight.

Liu’er cooked very quickly and soon prepared several steaming dishes. To make it convenient for Mrs. Hu, their dining table was moved to Mrs. Hu’s bedside.

At this moment, the family of three was eating happily. They had not eaten meat for a long time, so they were particularly happy with this meal.

At this time, night has fallen. A breeze blows gently in the yellow sand. The bright moon is like a silver plate, illuminating this desolate world and covering the sea of sand with a hazy veil.

Chen Huaian sat on the roof of Liu’er’s house, looking up at the bright moon. He couldn’t see the moon, and he looked up only because he felt a little melancholy.

“In fact, a meal can also be extra happy.”

After Chen Huaian finished speaking, he subconsciously wanted to take out the flute and play Wugui, but when he reached out for the flute, he was slightly stunned. If the flute sounded at this moment, it would probably destroy their happy atmosphere.

He stood up, jumped, and left the roof of Liuer’s house.

He applied some medicine on the piece of meat, which could effectively relieve Hu and A Ling’s illness. If they wanted to live longer, they had to move away from here.
