Starting as a Blind Beggar and Becoming a God

Chapter 10 3 yearsChapter 10 Three Years
Chen Huaian is very fair in his work. There is no such thing as male superiority or female inferiority in his opinion. Everyone is equal.

He would also patiently explain the questions they asked, always with a humble smile on his face. He gave her the impression of being a kind and knowledgeable teacher.

She also discovered that the knowledge Chen Huaian taught them was more useful than that of Huang Hua, and contained richer and deeper principles, which were more thought-provoking. Compared with Huang Hua’s rote learning, Chen Huaian taught better.

Chen Huaian listened to Bai Ling’er’s question and replied with a smile: ”In that world, everyone can read, and if someone can’t read, there will be other people to lend a hand to help them read.”

When Chen Huaian talked about that world, Bai Ling’er’s eyes revealed longing. Chen Huaian looked at the longing on her face. Although he couldn’t see it clearly, the emotion she expressed was very real.

”Bai Ling’er, what are you still doing here? Go back and cook. Do you want to wait for your father to come back and starve to death?” A domineering voice brought Ling’er back to reality.

When Chen Huaian heard the voice of the person coming, he couldn’t help but shook his head.

The person who came was Bai Ling’er’s mother, Mrs. Hu, but she didn’t look like a good wife and mother at all. She was just cruel and scolded.

Chen Huaian tried to persuade her once, but it was of no use at all. Besides, this was someone else’s family affair, so he couldn’t say too much. He could only watch Bai Ling’er being scolded for no reason.

But fortunately, Bai Ling’er’s father was sensible. He was very happy that Chen Huaian taught Bai Ling’er knowledge, although Bai Ling’er’s mother didn’t think so...

”Okay, mother, I’ll be back soon.”

Just as Bai Ling’er finished speaking, Mrs. Hu’s voice came again, ”What’s the point of studying? It’s better to do more work so that you don’t starve to death.”

Her words were an implicit criticism of Chen Huaian. He gave people the impression of being a learned man, but he was not yet a musician and was of no use.

Bai Ling’er didn’t answer. She slowly stood up and left Chen Huaian’s yard. A Tie and Huang Yuan looked at Bai Ling’er’s departing back without saying a word.

After Bai Ling’er had completely walked out of Chen Huaian’s yard, A Tie asked, ”Sir, why don’t you try to persuade Bai Ling’er’s mother? She is so pitiful.”

Chen Huaian looked at A Tie’s sincere eyes and said, ”Some people and some things are difficult to change. The only one who can change is themselves.”

Chen Huaian said it very clearly that if the Hu family did not change, then the situation of their family would be difficult to change.

But the young A Tie couldn’t understand the reason. He thought Chen Huaian was very capable and would definitely be able to help Bai Ling’er.

Huang Yuan was standing by. He wanted to help Bai Ling’er, but he was powerless. In his heart, Bai Ling’er was like a sister who took care of them. He lowered his head, not knowing what he was thinking...

Chen Huaian noticed the change in Huang Yuan, but he didn’t ask. Children have their own thoughts. If Huang Yuan felt that Chen Huaian was someone who could answer his questions, he would definitely ask...

”I should go back...” Huang Yuan suddenly stood up and said. Ah Tie saw Huang Yuan standing up, his face full of confusion. He asked: ”Why are you going back so early? I haven’t listened to the story of the teacher yet.”

After hearing this, Huang Yuan said lightly, ”No, if I don’t go back, my father will come to find me.” Huang Yuan said as he walked out of Chen Huaian’s yard.

Chen Huaian knew the reason. He had heard Huang Hua say that he was just a blind and madman with a little knowledge.

Huang Hua must have been drunk that day and spoke very loudly. He thought Chen Huaian was not at home, but he never expected that Chen Huaian heard every word he said.

However, Chen Huaian did not pay attention to this matter afterwards. To him, Huang Hua was just an insignificant character in his life and was unimportant.

”Sir, I feel like they don’t have much freedom. Unlike me, my parents don’t really care about me.”

Chen Huaian smiled and touched Ah Tie’s head, saying, ”That’s because you are sensible.”

When Ah Tie heard Chen Huaian praising him, a slightly arrogant expression appeared on his face.

At this age, A-Tie is the easiest to be satisfied. He will feel very happy if he is praised casually. However, Chen Huaian was telling the truth. A-Tie is indeed very obedient and sensible, and basically never worries his parents.

”Sir, I want to hear your story, can I?” A Tie asked. He was a little embarrassed because usually the three of them would listen together, but today he was the only one there, and he was worried that Chen Huaian would not tell him the story.

”Okay, then I’ll tell you about Nezha’s Conquest of the Dragon King.”

……

As the sun set, Chen Huaian’s story was coming to an end, but A Tie fell asleep at some point. Chen Huaian stopped the story, picked up A Tie and sent him back to the blacksmith shop.

When A Tie’s father from the blacksmith shop saw Chen Huaian carrying A Tie back, he quickly stopped what he was doing and said sorry to trouble Chen Huaian.

Chen Huaian smiled and said that they were all neighbors, and it was natural. The blacksmith couple had the best relationship with Chen Huaian, and their relationship was not as superficial as that of the other two families.

A Tie’s father wanted to invite Chen Huaian to stay for dinner, but Chen Huaian declined. He still had to go back to play the flute, so this matter could not be delayed.

After Chen Huaian finished speaking, he left. As soon as he returned home, Lao Niu called out in complaint. Chen Huaian knew that he had forgotten to cook for Lao Niu today.

”Sorry, I’ll be right there.”

Chen Huaian said as he walked into the kitchen. In the past three years, no one knew how human Lao Niu was. Since Chen Huaian didn’t want to cause too much trouble, he let Lao Niu disguise himself.

But this does not include the three children from his neighbors, because they come here so often, it is inevitable that some things will be discovered. Chen Huaian also asked them to keep it secret, and they did a good job in this matter. For three years, even their parents did not find out.

But how could things develop according to Chen Huaian’s plot? In the second year after he came to Longchang County, his cow was stolen...

That was also his craziest time. He searched the whole city for the old cow and finally found it in the slaughterhouse. If he had been a little later, he might not have seen the old cow.

Chen Huaian explained to the owner of the slaughterhouse that someone had stolen his cow, but the owner refused to let Chen Huaian take the cow away. Chen Huaian had no choice but to pay the money.

Chen Huaian almost spent all his savings to redeem the old cow, but Chen Huaian didn’t care. He could earn money again, but if the cow was lost, it was really gone.

Afterwards, Chen Huaian thought about it and the more he thought about it, the more he felt something was wrong. He couldn’t figure out how the old cow was caught. When he asked, he found out that it was seduced by the cow...

Chen Huaian couldn’t figure out why the originally steady old cow suddenly went into heat, until he found the medicine that could cause heat in the old cow’s grass...

He cursed for the first time in this world, ”Fuck, why are these people so dirty!”

In order to comfort Lao Niu’s wounded heart, Chen Huaian bought some beef. Chen Huaian didn’t eat any of it and gave it all to Lao Niu, who enjoyed it so much.

”Stew my second uncle, it smells delicious...” This was the real expression on Lao Niu’s face, which stunned Chen Huaian.

After Chen Huaian calmed Lao Niu down, he started looking for the person who drugged him, and he would not give up until he found him.

He searched for three days before he finally found the person who drugged the cow. It turned out that the man was a hunter who had failed to catch any prey in the mountains and had set his sights on the old cow.

After Chen Huaian found out, he immediately rushed to the hunter’s house with a kitchen knife in hand. He looked very crazy. Even though the hunter had been hunting for more than ten years, he was still scared. Of course, he was also doing it for the butcher shop to see. From then on, no one dared to target the old cow.

Chen Huaian feels that sometimes, theory is useless, and it is better to go crazy.

The owner of the slaughterhouse came to pay Chen Huaian back the next day. Although it was not much, Chen Huaian didn’t want to have anything to do with them, so he regarded the money as buying out his relationship with them.
