Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 29 The Temptation of Rebuilding CivilizationChapter 29 The Temptation of Rebuilding Civilization

Liu Wen tried to use his psychic energy to generate a biomagnetic field to resist the gravity of the planet and fly, but he couldn’t get it right after several attempts. He either soared into the sky like a monkey, or jumped like a bungee jumping.

”Forget it. I still have to learn some relevant theoretical knowledge first. No wonder high-level psychics are all people with rich scientific theoretical knowledge. If you don’t understand the relevant theoretical knowledge, you can’t exert your power or master it at all.”

Shaking his head, Liu Wen ended today’s training. He just needed to let his psychic power grow steadily and catch up with the theoretical knowledge learning first. With the knowledge, it would be much easier to learn how to use psychic power.

Back in the room, I checked the movements of the Galaxy Fleet through the Star Sea ship. Fat Blue and Frog were still in the Star Sea Fleet. They had the authority to remotely connect and command, and could grasp the movements of the fleet in real time.

A Zerg nest appeared in the subspace battlefield, triggering the expansion of the Zerg swarm, and the battle has begun.

Millions of hunting teams are fighting against the Zerg in the subspace battlefield. Individual mechas, land combat artillery, etc. have been moved to the battlefield. The Blue River military’s land combat forces have also entered the scene, building defense lines and providing logistical services to those hunting teams.

In the void outside the galaxy, three space channels were surrounded by the fleets of the two countries. Warships from more than a dozen legions formed a joint defense, and dozens of planetary fortresses and hundreds of mobile fortresses jointly built a firepower network.

Liu Wen also truly experienced how vigilant the human kingdom is against the Void Zerg. Even if something happened to a branch of the Zerg queen, they would still treat it as a formidable enemy.

He could only watch these things and try to stay away from them.

The Galaxy Fleet has successfully entered the 315 star field under the control of the intelligent center, and its safety is no longer a problem.

He casually sent a message to Bai Haitang, asking her to arrange people to start work.

Bai Haitang, who had just finished warming up, received a message from Liu Wen. After confirming the safety of the fleet, he began to arrange for the crew to take over the warship again and start their training subjects.

While having dinner that night, Liu Wen discussed the next course of action while eating.

”At present, we can’t continue to mine the asteroid belt. Those alien races have already targeted the Star Fleet. The net income is only about 300,000 contribution points per month at most. Although this money seems to be a lot, it is undoubtedly impossible to rely on it to continue to expand the size of the fleet.”

Liu Wen asked Fatty Blue and Jack, ”Have you found any new targets to attack?”

The blue fat man chewed a piece of deep-sea dace meat and said, ”Hmm, cough! I recently checked the situation of some surrounding star fields. The alien forces are not large. The only few star fields with aliens are also kept in captivity by other teams. They will not give us a chance to attack at all.”

”Yes, there are basically no areas like the asteroid belt in other star fields. In the entire Blue River Empire galaxy, there are only three places where the remnants of the destroyed civilization gather. One of them is our 315 star field, and the other two are in the 12th star field and the 54th star field.”

Jack added: ”The foreign races in these two places are swept up by military cadets every ten to twenty years. They are the military’s private training camps for new recruits. If we go there to poach them, we might be treated as pirates and beaten by the military.”

”Is it so miserable?” When Liu Wen heard that the military kept those aliens to train new recruits, he immediately gave up the idea of taking advantage of them. This was a legitimate source of funds for the military, and whoever touched it would be in trouble.

”There is an insect plague in the Second World right now, so we can’t explore the void. It looks like we still have to start with the aliens in the asteroid belt and find a way to open up the situation. At least we need to increase our net income to more than one million. This way, we can get a destroyer-class battleship every month. When we are stronger, it will be safer to go looking for trouble with other aliens.”

Jack thought about it and said what he had in mind: ”I have an idea here, but it may not be very reliable.”

The blue fat man signaled the other party to speak directly: ”If you have an idea, just tell me. No matter whether it is reliable or not, let’s refer to it together. Maybe it will work.”

”This is what I think. The reason why those alien races are unwilling to become vassals or go to war is because they have hatred towards humans. At the same time, they also know clearly that once they go to war and unite, there is a high probability that they will be attacked by the Blue River military. In that case, no matter whether they win or lose, the outcome will be almost the same.” Jack said seriously.

”Then maybe we can give them a chance to rebuild their civilization, thereby breaking down the will of some alien races to resist and turn to us.”

”As long as we divide some of the alien races, it will be much easier to deal with the remaining alien races. Surrender is also contagious.”

The blue fat man felt a little speechless after listening to this: ”Your method is really unreliable. We will give the alien race a chance to rebuild their civilization.”

Jack shrugged. He had already said that his idea was a bit unreliable. Why did he blame me for saying it?
Liu Wenzhe pondered and thought that it was not impossible to give the alien race a chance to rebuild their civilization.

It is naturally impossible within the human territory, but outside the human territory, establishing a civilization in the name of a human vassal race is actually not a big problem. The difficulty lies in how to protect one’s own civilization from extinction.

That night, Liu Wen called a meeting of several commanders and adjutants, told them about Jack’s idea, and asked them whether their method was feasible.

”Yes, and it’s not low.” Shirley thought for a moment and said, ”The human kingdom has vassal races, and they also have their own civilizations, but their forms of existence are different from those of independent civilizations.”

”The boss is planning to apply for a development order to develop territories outside the region. The governing authority of these territories is actually equivalent to that of an independent country, except that they have changed from countries to territories. Since they are at the country level, having their own vassal army and vassal races is naturally not a problem. I heard from the teacher that many development lords have actually conquered some alien races as vassal races, but that is generally something that only great lords can do.”

”But no matter how big the territory is or how powerful it is, as long as you have the title of lord, then it is only natural to grant your vassal race a planet to let them rebuild their civilization.”

Luo Shaohua held the thermos cup blankly and took a sip mechanically. His eyes sparkled as if he had figured something out. Then he slammed the table and said, ”Bang, Shirley is right. This is totally feasible. All we have to do is convince these aliens that we can at least take over one star system and hold it.”

Michelle crossed his arms and puffed on a cigar. ”Boss, when are you going to apply for the development order? We are still far from having resources and fleets. It’s not easy to convince those aliens.”

After hearing Shirley’s explanation, Liu Wen’s eyes lit up and his brain worked at high speed. After a comprehensive analysis, he said to everyone, ”I originally planned to apply for the Development Order in three years, because only then can I guarantee that I will have fourth-level psychic power and gain a certain degree of self-protection ability.”

”I believe that information that can be verified in a few years will give those alien races more trust.”

”As for the fleet, don’t worry about it. As long as your capabilities gradually improve, I will expand the fleet accordingly. What I lack is not money, but available manpower. Do you understand?”

When Luo Shaohua heard his boss’ generosity, he immediately said, ”Don’t worry, boss. Although our command level is not that high, we graduated from the academy and know many powerful classmates and seniors. As long as the salary is high, we can bring in as many people as you want.”

Michelle also patted his chest and said, ”Boss, what Luo said is right. We two know how strong we are. We can command a fleet, but we can’t command a reorganized corps. But our inability doesn’t mean that there is no one else. I have a good relationship with my tutor and can contact many seniors with outstanding command ability.” Liu Wen was helpless. These two children paid attention to the expansion of the fleet. Is this what he wants now? The reason for recruiting them is that they all graduated from regular colleges, and when there is a shortage of people, they can pull in a large number of nepotism households.

”Alright, you have to eat as much as you can. The fleet has only been established for a short time, and the personnel are not yet familiar with each other. The combat capability of the fleet may not even reach the average level. It is too early to talk about expansion now. You should improve the combat capability of the fleet first.”

”The boss is right.” Luo Shaohua flattered him with a smile, and was already thinking about contacting a few classmates he had a good relationship with, and then contacting the tutor to see if there was any suitable candidate to recommend to the boss.

Step by step, step by step.

The more people you recommend, the more your say in the fleet will be. Even if you cannot take charge of a reorganized legion, but all the people above and below you were introduced by you, so how can you not remember your favor?
For a worker, where the job is is actually secondary. As long as the salary is in place, it would be best if he or she can have some free time and still have a high salary and good benefits. This is the perfect worker.

Michelle had similar ideas to Luo Shaohua, but he was more ambitious than Luo Shaohua and wanted to work hard for the position of legion commander.

Shirley and Wu Shuhe were very relaxed. Although they could also command the fleet in battle, being adjutants proved that their command ability was only slightly better than that of ordinary students. Therefore, they did not think too much about it. It was good enough to do their job well and get a steady salary increase. Every level of fleet must have an adjutant, right?

Liu Wen returned to the original topic: ”Since this method works, who among you will be the representative to negotiate with those alien races?”

Shirley took the lead in accepting the task: ”Boss, I’ll go. I’m in charge of the diplomatic work with the alien races.”

”Okay, then I’ll leave it to you.” Liu Wen agreed very straightforwardly. He would be happy if it succeeded, but it would not have much impact if it failed. He could just think of another way.

After the meeting, Shirley contacted the Brin tribe and asked them to find a way to invite the alien races in the asteroid belt to hold a meeting.

After discussion, the two sides crossed out several alien races that were most hostile to humans from the invitation list, and the Brin tribe took the list and started inviting everyone one by one.

”Cavendish? I’m Old Bull. My sovereign country wants to invite you to discuss the reconstruction of civilization. Do you want to come? How to rebuild civilization? This will be explained at the meeting. Do you want to send someone to participate? If you can come, that’s fine. It will be scheduled at my Bullin tribe’s asteroid base in three days.”

”Aliens? I’m Old Bu from the Brin tribe. Humans are willing to give us a chance to rebuild our civilization. We invite you to attend the meeting in three days. Will you come?”

……

After a series of contacts, more than half of the dozens of alien races on the list expressed their willingness to send people to attend the meeting when they heard about the opportunity to rebuild civilization. Those who were unwilling to attend refused, thinking that humans could not be so kind.

Many alien races are also contacting each other privately, telling other alien races not to believe in human lies. They just have no way to deal with our alliance, so they want to disintegrate our alliance through this kind of pie-in-the-sky approach, and then eat us away bit by bit.

For a time, various signal waves were transmitted frequently in the asteroid belt, and more information was generated in one day than in the previous few years combined.

Three days later, at the Brin tribe’s base, aircraft of various styles drove into the airport. Before the meeting started, a total of thirty-nine alien races sent representatives to attend the meeting. Twenty-eight alien races refused or agreed but no one came.

The meeting officially began. Liu Wen watched the live broadcast through a remote connection. Looking at the various strange races gathered together in the conference room, he felt as if there was a riot of demons. He muttered that there was no need to put on makeup when filming fairy tales. They could just act as monsters and even save money on special effects.

Shirley walked up to the podium and glanced at the alien representatives present: ”Welcome all representatives to the meeting. I am Shirley, the adjutant of the Star Fleet, and I am here to convene this meeting on behalf of the commander of the corps.”

”As for the theme of this meeting, I believe everyone has already understood it. It is to give your race a chance to rebuild civilization.”

”Do you humans really want us to rebuild civilization?” the representative of the Hola tribe stood up and asked.

”Of course, but it’s just an opportunity. Whether you are willing to seize this opportunity depends on the choice of your respective race.” Shirley responded in an affirmative tone.

”So what’s the price? How do we rebuild civilization? You humans will never allow a non-human civilization to appear within your territory.” The alien representative asked with a ferocious face.

Shirley smiled and said, ”Since the alien representative can ask this question, he must know what kind of alien race is allowed to form a civilization.”

Without waiting for the other party to reply, he continued, ”Since you are here, you must know some of the human policies. There will be no place for you in the human territory. In fact, you are very lucky. The other two alien remnant gathering points in the Blue River Galaxy will be cleared by the military every ten years to ensure that there will be no powerful armed forces and industrial systems.”

”The asteroid belt has been neglected by the military because of its scarce resources and complex environment, but it is uncertain how long this neglect will last.”

The aliens present are not stupid. This blatant threat is just like pointing it at them: If you don’t satisfy me, I will call the military fleet.

Shirley continued, ”Within the human territory, it is impossible for you to rebuild civilization. The only place where you can rebuild civilization is outside the human territory. The price of rebuilding civilization is to become a vassal race of humans and fight for human development.”

”Fighting for humanity? You all know best what our current strength is. Asking us to fight against civilizations outside the human territory is no different from asking us to die.” The representative of the Hora tribe was full of anger.

The representative of the Alien tribe also spoke up: ”Humans, if the price of rebuilding civilization is the extinction of our people, then why are we rebuilding civilization? If our people are gone, what is the meaning of civilization?”

”You are wrong. With your strength, it is impossible for you to fight against foreign civilizations. We never expect you to fight.”

Shirley explained, ”I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Human Development Order. The Development Lord is equal to the Lord of a human kingdom, and can also enfeoff vassal races. Our leader will apply for a Development Order in a few years to go outside the domain to develop. For races that are willing to submit, the leader is willing to enfeoff their races to establish a kingdom and rebuild civilization after opening up the territory.”

”A pioneer lord?” The representatives of the alien races began to discuss among themselves. To be honest, this plan was very tempting. Even though it was very dangerous to go outside the domain, the danger here was equally high.

For these alien races, there is no difference between the human kingdom and those foreign civilizations. They are all existences that may take their lives at any time. If they can really rely on a big tree to rebuild civilization, at least the difficulty in obtaining various resources will be much lower. Many things that cannot be made can also be purchased by opening up territory, which is very beneficial for rebuilding civilization.
