Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 11 EscapeChapter 11 Escape
On Paradise Island, a pirate conference was held under the joint organization of fifteen of the most powerful interstellar pirate groups, and more than three hundred leaders of pirate groups of all sizes were projected to the scene.

Duanmu Yiyong, the leader of the Black Dragon Pirates, who is recognized as the number one, glanced at the other fourteen pirate leaders at the round table with a gloomy face.

”Everyone is here now. Time waits for no one, so let’s cut to the chase.” Duanmu Yiyong played with a spiritual gem in his hand and said, ”Everyone present should know the purpose of this meeting. The butcher woman is using the excuse of training to attack us. If we can’t stop her, we will die. If we do, we will be seriously injured.”

”Boss Black Dragon, do you know who gave her the power?” Li Huadong, leader of the Ice Pirates, was so angry that he almost gritted his teeth. He had just taken over the space station of the Vulture Pirates and invested a huge amount of money in repairing and renovating it. Now, after this battle, he would have to pay for it with his entire fortune.

Bang! The psychic diamond hit the table with a loud noise. Duanmu Yiyong said with an unpleasant expression, ”It’s useless to know that. Why don’t you go find the Prince Duan behind her and ask him to bring her back?”

”Prince Duan?” Everyone recognized who gave the order. After thinking about it carefully, it made sense. Only Prince Duan, who was in charge of the two divisions of the Imperial Guards, could give the order to release her. Otherwise, with so many powerful people from the Blue River Empire behind them, the butcher would have been squeezed into a corner and unable to get out. How could they allow her to continue leading the troops?

”Okay, let’s not talk about those nonsense. Let’s talk about how to fight this time. As long as we hurt the Butcher’s fleet, she will naturally be unable to withstand the pressure and retreat. Otherwise, all of us will be stuffed into the reactor as fuel.” Shi Fenglian, leader of the White Swan Pirates, brought the topic back on track.

Duanmu Yiyong took a deep breath and said, ”This time, there is no doubt that all the pirate ships will be integrated into three squadrons, led by me, White Swan, and Skeleton respectively.”

”The compensation for the pirates and warships damaged in this battle will be paid from the Paradise Island treasury, and taxes will be reduced for three years. Is there any problem?”

Everyone was silent for a while. All the small and medium-sized pirate groups knew that once they handed over the command of the warships, their own warships would surely become cannon fodder. However, if they fought on their own like a loose sand, few of them would be able to survive under the butcher, let alone the foundation of Paradise Island.

”The last ten seconds. If no one has any objections, then assemble according to the coordinates sent to you. Whoever dares to desert will be hunted down by our fifteen families. Do you understand?” Duanmu Yiyong was too lazy to talk nonsense with these people. Originally, there were only fifteen of them who occupied the dominant position on Paradise Island.

As for the other pirate groups, they were originally recruited as cannon fodder. We have kept them for so long and let them reap so many benefits. Isn’t it time for them to contribute now?

After a minute, no one spoke. Duanmu Yiyong and the other families looked at each other and it was decided.

Afterwards, each pirate group received a message from the three pirate groups, and the defense system of Paradise Island intentionally or unintentionally blocked the route for their spacecraft to leave, indicating that they would not be allowed to leave, and they had to either fight to the death or die now.

The pirate groups had no choice but to gather according to the coordinates sent to them. Then the three major pirate groups took over the control of the warships and reorganized them into three arc-shaped arrays at the front.

Only the fleets of the other twelve pirate groups were independent, each forming a formation, led by twelve level four battleships, forming a relatively loose cone formation to face the aggressive butcher fleet.

The fleet of more than 200 warships gradually slowed down when it approached Paradise Island within thirty light seconds, reducing its speed to below sub-light speed.

The hatches on both sides of the two light motherships opened, and unmanned fighter jets came out one after another. More than 3,000 fighter jets, grouped in groups of three, formed a huge offensive formation, attacking the pirate fleet from both sides.

In a mothership, the butcher Shangguan Xi, wearing the uniform of a colonel commander, sat casually in the command chair. In front of him were more than a dozen delicacies carefully cooked with psychic materials. He ate happily, taking bites of delicious food and sips of fine wine, and paid no attention to the pirates who were about to start a war.

Several staff officers were communicating with the various ships to deploy combat plans. The fleet formation gradually dispersed and pressed towards the pirate fleet in a siege posture.

”The fleet is in place.”

”The array artillery group is ready to fire.”

”The interception network is activated.”

”Space interference has been activated.”

”Proton torpedoes are ready to launch.”

”Gamma-ray burst begins charging, expected to be completed in fifteen seconds.”

……

Information quickly came together, and after being integrated, new tasks were issued by the staff.

”Aim at the enemy’s main battleship, fire five salvos, open fire!”

The order to open fire was given, and hundreds of energy cannons on thirty battleships flashed brightly. Energy columns more than ten meters thick instantly crossed a distance of more than twenty light seconds and hit the pirate fleet.

Hundreds of pirate gunboats were turned into brilliant fireworks without firing a single shot, and the explosions carried billions of metal fragments rushing in all directions.

Seeing that hundreds of their own pirate gunboats were destroyed in one round of attack, many small teams were already stunned and wanted to drive the pirate ships away desperately. Unfortunately, the control was not in their hands now. After a while of operation, they ended up having Duanmu Yiyong and the other two arrange them to the front of the formation to withstand the firepower.

”We can’t go on like this. The energy cannons of the level 5 battleships can fire too far, and we can only be their sitting ducks here.” Duanmu Yiyong knew that he couldn’t dream of engaging in a war of attrition with the enemy.

However, his purpose from the beginning was not to fight the enemy head-on, because they were pirates, not regular troops.

”We will retreat back to Paradise Island as planned.” Glancing at the group of drones that were almost approaching the fleet, Duanmu Yiyong immediately ordered them to retreat.

The pirate fleet was not far from Paradise Island, so after just one round of firepower coverage, they retreated to the sky above Paradise Island, and the thick energy shield protected their ships.

The fleet finally reached the outside of Paradise Island. The particle cannons and rapid-fire cannons hit the shield of Paradise Island like raindrops, but the consumption was only a drop in the bucket and it was restored to its original state in the blink of an eye.

Only then did Shangguan Xi, who was still holding a piece of unknown animal meat in his chopsticks, raise his eyes and glance at the projection of Paradise Island: ”Activate the proton torpedoes, blow up that island and set off fireworks.”

”Yes!” Upon hearing the voice, the staff officer immediately stood at attention and saluted, then turned around and ordered the release of proton torpedoes.

On more than fifty level five cruiser-class battleships, electromagnetic acceleration ducts were opened, spewing out proton torpedoes that were more than ten meters long and half a meter in diameter toward Paradise Island. The proton torpedoes were accelerated to 75 percent of the sub-light speed by electromagnetic and propulsion engines, and under the cover of intensive firepower, they crossed space and landed on the energy shield of Paradise Island.

The defensive firepower outside Paradise Island was simply unable to intercept the randomly changing proton torpedoes at this speed. Hundreds of proton torpedoes crashed into it in three batches. The antimatter protons were detonated and released, and a violent annihilation reaction occurred as soon as they came into contact with the energy shield. The energy released increased exponentially.

”Damn it, is this spendthrift woman really that cruel?” The moment Duanmu Yiyong saw the proton torpedo, his heart trembled a few times. This butcher woman was really too cruel. Antimatter is free?

”Black Dragon, are you going to leave or not? The butcher is too cruel. She never thought of leaving a way out for us. She doesn’t care about the people behind us at all.” White Swan had a frosty face. She really hated the butcher’s behavior, but she was not as capable as others and could only be angry.

”Get ready. Even if you leave, you have to leave her a big gift!” Duanmu Yiyong was very angry, but he also knew that he and his people could not do anything to her at all. The people behind her could not step on her within the rules, let alone them, a group of interstellar pirates.

Silently, the core personnel of more than a dozen main battleships had quietly evacuated and landed in the underground city of Paradise Island. They took the elevator that had been prepared to the other side of Paradise Island, where more than a dozen medium-sized spacecrafts with excellent speed were docked underground. On Paradise Island, the energy shield was bombarded by hundreds of proton torpedoes. No matter how much energy was stored, there was a supply limit. After the second batch of proton torpedoes was detonated, the energy shield generator exploded due to energy overload, and the energy shield was completely destroyed.

Unmanned fighter jets swooped down from the sky, carrying out precision strikes on Paradise Island’s defense facilities, and all kinds of light beams covered the sky.

The pirate fleet launched a counterattack under the control of the reserved intelligent AI. Close-in defense turrets were extended from the buildings throughout Paradise Island, forming a dense firepower network to intercept the fighter planes. Gunboats even landed directly, using the buildings to cover their bodies and launch a counterattack.

Dozens of cruiser-class and above warships had nowhere to hide and could only choose to speed up into space, attacking in a line, trying to break into the interior of the Guards Fleet.

The energy shield of Paradise Island was broken, and the air inside was sucked dry by space in a short period of time. People hiding on Paradise Island who had no space survival equipment died of suffocation. Many people who still had aircraft knew that it was hopeless, and drove their aircraft outward, but were blown up one by one by the swarm of drones.

The Guards fleet continued to press forward without haste. One after another, the escort-class destroyer-class battleships dispersed and surrounded Paradise Island. The warships’ firepower exchanged with Paradise Island’s defensive firepower, quickly clearing out these fixed-point firepower.

In the underground base, more than a dozen pirate group leaders stood together, watching the swarm of drones that had invaded Paradise Island and wreaked havoc. They watched the defense system that had taken decades to build being ruthlessly destroyed. The battle lasted for nearly half an hour, but not even a single battleship was sunk.

In space, dozens of main battleships were wrapped in layers of deceleration force fields and interception force fields, and were blown up on the spot like targets. A large amount of wreckage floated in space, telling of the fierceness of the war.

”Start now?” The White Swan couldn’t wait to leave. If he stayed any longer, he might be found by the other party.

Duanmu Yiyong shook his head: ”We can’t leave now. Look at their warships. They have surrounded Paradise Island tightly and they always keep a certain distance from Paradise Island so that they can escape in time when they encounter danger. Starting now is just a fireworks display for the butcher.”

Everyone had no choice but to continue waiting. Fortunately, the core members of their team were all here, and the only loss was some money. For the people behind them, as long as the people were still there and could create profits, then the retired warships were just a small problem. Anyway, they were not given away for free, and they also had to spend money to buy them.

Paradise Island was being bombarded in orbit by the fleet, with massive indiscriminate firepower destroying all of its buildings. The entire meteorite land was shaking and could disintegrate at any time.

On the other side, Liu Wen drove the battleship away from Paradise Island and flew to the side, trying to avoid radar detection through the desolate star system not far away, and escape by jumping away from space interference.

Everything went smoothly at first, but after flying for almost half an hour and seeing the destruction of Paradise Island from the video data sent back by the detector, the detection radar alarm sounded.

A military escort-class battleship quietly emerged from behind an asteroid, and the battleship’s energy cannon fired a salvo at the Xinghai. Liu Wen wanted to dodge in an emergency, but he was too hasty and failed to dodge. The energy shield flashed white rapidly. Fortunately, it was a battleship of the same class, and although the military’s firepower was more fierce, it was limited, and he finally managed to withstand it.

”Warship ahead, stop immediately for inspection.”

Hearing the plain text communication sent by the military warship, Liu Wen and his colleagues were speechless. You have already opened fire on me and you still want me to stop the ship and wait for you to kill me. Do you think there is something wrong with my brain?
But I still have to quibble, just in case the other party has a problem with their brains: ”Opposite warship, this is the Storm Adventure Ship, you fired at me without reason, I will file a complaint with the military court, you wait for the military court!”

Liu Wen casually pulled the flag of an adventure ship and didn’t care what the other party thought. He drove the spaceship into a turn and continued to accelerate to escape. At the same time, he prepared to activate the interception force field and the deceleration force field. Once the other party caught up, he would try to delay the other party’s speed as much as possible.

”I repeat, the battleship ahead must shut down its reactor immediately and stop moving forward for inspection. If you refuse to comply, we have the right to sink it directly.”

”Sink your grandma. If it weren’t for my thick protective shield, I would have been sunk by you in the last round. You military warships opened fire without any prior notice. Just wait for the summons from the military court!” The fat blue man cursed a lot and seemed very confident.

After two consecutive conversations, the captain of the opposing warship became a little hesitant. He was not the butcher Shangguan Xi, who had a big shot to protect him if something went wrong.

For the sake of his own future, he sent the information of the Xinghai back to the command ship, asking the command center to check the situation of the Xinghai to see whether it was an interstellar pirate.

Soon, information about the Xinghai was passed on, and there was also an order from the command center to capture the other party alive and interrogate them for intelligence.

The captain took a look at the intelligence of the Xinghai. There was only a copy provided by Anning Heavy Industries, a record of the exchange by the Interstellar Alliance and sent to Paradise Island, and video footage of Liu Wen receiving the warship twice in the Second World and Paradise Island. However, there was no personal information about Liu Wen. It was impossible to judge whether he was an interstellar pirate, but the fact that he had just reached adulthood and had a large number of contribution points was very suspicious.

”Which rich second generation is this who has nothing to do and is here looking for excitement?” The captain could only guess that Liu Wen, who was so young and had hundreds of thousands of contribution points, was the descendant of some powerful person, maybe even an illegitimate child born on Paradise Island.

Because of this, the captain was somewhat restrained in the fight. He didn’t dare to fire too hard for fear of blowing up the Xinghai, and then being made trouble by Liu Wen’s father and the like.

Liu Wen didn’t know what the people in the warship were thinking, but he could sense that the other side’s firepower was abnormal. There was a desolate star system in front of him, and he instantly realized that his chance to escape had come.

The Xinghai rushed into the Kuiper Belt without slowing down at all, flying towards where meteorites and asteroids were densely concentrated.

A detector was dropped from time to time, and the two warships chased each other for a long time. Both sides turned on the space jammer, making it impossible for either side to jump.

But Liu Wen knew that if he continued like this, he would sooner or later be blocked by the military warships that followed, so he had to find a way to get rid of the warships behind him and then jump away.

At this time, the surface of Paradise Island had been completely destroyed. Huge pits appeared on the island, and the originally prosperous buildings were nowhere to be seen.

After confirming that there was no resistance, the Guards fleet approached Paradise Island, preparing to use the high-power detection radar on the mothership to scan the entire underground of Paradise Island to ensure that there were no pirates hiding underground.

Dozens of warships guarded a light mothership and approached Paradise Island 20 kilometers away, scanning from the edge all the way to the other end of Paradise Island.

Duanmu Yiyong and others in the underground smiled at this time, because their chance to escape had come.

When Duanmu Yiyong saw the mothership fly to the center of Paradise Island, he immediately pressed the red button in front of him. Hundreds of meters thick rock layers were thrown out from the location of the city streets, and small antimatter missiles flew out from inside. Thousands of antimatter missiles, real or fake, crossed the void at dozens of times the speed of sound and flew towards the nearest warships in the surrounding area.

Antimatter missiles were detonated one after another, and the energy storm generated by the annihilation reaction swept across an area of hundreds of miles.

The energy shields of three military escort-class warships were broken, and large holes were annihilated on the hulls. The raging energy caused serious damage to the interior of the warships. Although the light mothership was the main target of attack, it had powerful close-range firepower and thick energy shields. It was the lightest of the first type, and only the annihilation energy affected the hull equipment, without any damage inside.

At the same time, the entire Paradise Island suddenly exploded, with meteorites flying in all directions. The energy burst also briefly obscured the vision and radar of the Guards fleet.

Fifteen medium-sized spaceships flew out from underground, each finding a direction and continuing to accelerate. Under the shock waves prepared in advance by the dock, they accelerated to sub-light speed in just one minute.

By the time the guards reacted, the tail flame of the spacecraft was almost out of sight.

”Oh, I knew that these rats wouldn’t be defeated so easily.” Shangguan Xi sat elegantly in the command center and gave the order: ”Let the surrounding intercepting warships stop them, and the other warships chase them immediately, don’t let them get away.”

In the Kuiper Belt, Liu Wen suddenly discovered that the battleship behind him turned around and went back. Without time to think about why, he quickly turned around and left the asteroid belt, preparing to jump away from here, the farther away from these military fleets the better.
