Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 17: Income SoarsChapter 17: Income Soars
”Retreat immediately. Use two low-level warships to cover the main ship.” The captain of the Jacobson clan had no time to think about it. Every second of delay would increase the threat of death.

Although it was obvious that the drivers of these two advanced warships were not very good at fire control, their quality and quantity were several times greater than ours, making it impossible for them to even maneuver.

Bai Haitang watched as the two enemy frigate-class battleships turned around and launched a suicide attack to buy time for the two escaping battleships. He sneered and controlled the battleships to turn on the steering engines, and the blocked view of the battleships reappeared.

The ship’s guns fired in unison, and dense energy columns cut through the void, breaking the shield of a destroyer-class battleship that was accelerating away. The propulsion engine was smashed into pieces, and the acceleration state was instantly broken.

The two alien warships that were chasing closely launched firepower and gamma ray attacks one after another, fearing that there were still living creatures inside.

Liu Wen noticed that Bai Haitang had already dealt with one ship, and the one he was dealing with was also approaching. Three consecutive rounds of firepower were avoided by the opponent, resulting in the opponent’s energy shield not being completely broken.

Fortunately, the three alien warships caught up when the opponent was evading, and they tried their best without considering their own firepower output, making the Jacobson warship complain bitterly.

The firepower accuracy of the three alien warships was not high, and it was quite like the naval battle before the first battle on Blue Star where hits depended entirely on luck. However, the continuous attacks also blocked many evasive directions, causing Liu Wen’s attack accuracy to increase a lot.

Another round of salvos, several secondary guns successfully hit the side of the Jacobson battleship, the energy shield was broken, and the remaining energy columns punched several large holes in the battleship’s armor, and even molten metal liquid could be seen spilling out.

Without the energy shield, the propulsion engine was gradually damaged, and the battleship gradually slowed down under the interception force field. It was caught up by three alien battleships, and the gamma rays repeatedly bombarded the ground, and the life signals in the battleship were quickly extinguished.

By the time Liu Wen finished his work, Bai Haitang had already returned dragging the captured empty warship.

After cleaning up the battlefield and salvaging the relatively intact warships and equipment, several warships reorganized and headed towards the asteroid belt again.

This time, even though the speed was suppressed again, no Yaxon warships caught up with them, which made Liu Wen a little disappointed. He guessed that they were really hurt this time and would not easily move out before figuring out the situation.

It took some time to find a channel to leave the asteroid belt and send the five slightly damaged alien warships back to the subspace dock for repairs. The Xinghai and Haitang took the two captured Yaxon warships and ore back to the city to sell them.

”Robbery target: the Jacobson tribe
Number of robberies: Four
Looting results: Two severely damaged Tier 5 destroyer battleships.”

”Rewards to be issued: coordinates...”

Liu Wen saw that there was one more coordinate and wondered if it was another subspace dock?

After comparing the star map, I found that this coordinate was out of the 315 star field and in the 316 star field, about light years away from the meteorite belt.

Moreover, that coordinate is located inside a star system. After purchasing the star map of the 316 star field through the Interstellar Alliance, it was found that although that star system is not a place rich in resources, there are many teams active there.

After learning that there was a team active in that star system, Liu Wen felt something was wrong. It was possible that the things in these coordinates had been discovered by someone.

The two empty battleships were sold to a repair dock at a jump point for less than 50,000 contribution points. If the high-energy alloy was not worth some money, they would not even be able to earn back the fuel consumed in this trip.

After returning to City 315, Bai Haitang took care of the supplies and then disappeared. Liu Wen went to cash in the ore, a total of more than cubic meters of various ores, for a total of contribution points, which was a little more than expected.

In order to verify his idea, Liu Wen purchased a set of high-power mineral detection equipment and two large transport ships, spending a total of 15.57 million contribution points, which was almost the price of a level 6 battleship.

However, it is good value for money. The cargo hold of the large transport ship has a total of 120 million cubic meters, and its jump capability and conventional movement capability are not worse than that of a level 6 battleship.

Looking at the large transport ship docked in the void, its huge size is much larger than a level VI cruiser-class battleship. It is nearly three kilometers long, a little over eight kilometers wide, and six hundred and fifty meters high. It is flat as a whole, with a total of ten divided cargo holds in the middle, each of which can carry 12 million cubic meters of cargo.

Containers can be added to the back of the transport ship’s cargo hold, which can be increased to 100 million cubic meters if necessary. That is, if necessary, a full 220 million cubic meters of cargo can be loaded. However, this cannot be done under normal circumstances, because after adding containers to the outside, the spacecraft cannot make jumps and can only move forward through curvature navigation, which causes the transportation speed to decrease.

After installing a large-scale prospecting radar on the Xinghai, Liu Wen sent a message to Bai Haitang and set sail directly towards the asteroid belt in the 121 star field. He planned to search carefully in that asteroid belt to see if there were any missed mineral planets. If he could really find two, it would be a real fortune!
We rushed all the way to the asteroid belt, but this time we were unlucky. After two days of searching, we still couldn’t find a navigable channel. There was a spacecraft channel of several hundred meters, but we couldn’t find one that could accommodate spacecraft of several kilometers in size.

”Boss, what are you going to do?” Bai Haitang came over and saw Liu Wen driving a battleship circling the asteroid belt, and asked curiously.

”I suspect there may be mineral planets inside this asteroid belt, and I plan to find a way in. However, the spacecraft is too big, and there is no suitable route.” Liu Wen looked at the rapidly rolling asteroid belt with a helpless look on his face. He couldn’t get in.

Bai Haitang asked doubtfully: ”Then why don’t you send two small warships over?”

”I bought a large detection equipment and installed it on the Xinghai. Without the detection equipment, it’s useless for a small warship to go in.” Liu Wen knew, of course, that a small spaceship could go in, but isn’t the detection radar on the Xinghai? It’s a complete set of radars, and a small warship has no place to install it.

”Is there no other way to get in?” Bai Haitang continued to ask: ”Isn’t it said that there is a spatial anomaly in the area, and the flow speed of asteroids will slow down?”

”I went to check. The transport ship can’t get in. I can’t find a mineral planet and then move it out bit by bit, right?” Liu Wen stared at the asteroid belt in a daze, wondering what to do next.

I completely forgot about this when I bought the transport ship. When it arrived, I found out that the spaceship was too big and I couldn’t get in. I was so upset.

If it really doesn’t work, the only option is to drive the Xinghai in first, find the mineral planet, and then use the alien warships to tow it out.

After another day of searching and surveying the surrounding area for tens of millions of kilometers, Liu Wen still could not find a channel that could allow the transport ship to pass. Although the Xinghai collided with many asteroids along the way, the battleship had a thick shield and its close-in defense guns could smash any large asteroids that could not dodge.

After entering, Liu Wen asked Bai Haitang to go back to the subspace and bring over a few alien warships.

Liu Wen drove the Xinghai to the coordinate point and soon found his reward target, an asteroid with a diameter of nearly two kilometers. He marked it with a signal, turned on the mineral radar, and circled around the nearby area.

What’s more, after rotating for a few hours, he actually found a mineral planet near the inner side of the asteroid belt. However, the radar response was not very good and the psychic response was weak. Although the asteroid was large, its value was estimated to be not that great.

After marking, he continued to search. Anyway, he had nothing to do during this period. He also did not plan to go to the coordinates of the 316 star field. There were frequent team activities there. With this strength, it would be easy for others to target him for excavation rewards. It would be better to wait until the alien warships came out and then equip them with a few level destroyer warships. Only with strength can there be a source of wealth! Bai Haitang switched to the second-generation Xinghai and brought four alien warships into the star field to drag out the two mineral planets marked by Liu Wen.

”Why does it feel like the students in my class are both fighting aliens and mining.” Bai Haitang muttered to himself, feeling a little emotional as he looked at the Xinghai which was still circling around with its radar on. It was really easy to make money here, and it was much more cost-effective than taking the trouble to kill bugs.

In the next two months, Liu Wen explored all the asteroids within a few light days of the surrounding area and was very satisfied with the results.

A total of more than fifteen mineral planets were found, but unfortunately there were only three containing psychic minerals, and the others were normal mineral planets that could only be sold for credit points. If he had the technology to synthesize high-energy alloys, he could also sell them for contribution points, but unfortunately he didn’t have that technology.

The subspace dock can smelt high-energy alloys, but that is direct forging and shaping, not synthesis of raw materials. That thing requires a professional space furnace to smelt and synthesize.

Including the one reward, there are a total of four psychic mineral planets, two of which have weak psychic reactions. It is still unknown whether they can meet the exchange requirements of the Interstellar Alliance after screening.

The remaining two are quite rich, with mineral contents of about 30%, totaling about 100 million cubic meters.

Drill a few holes in the mineral planet and stuff stun bombs into them. In a few seconds, the solid asteroid will turn into a pile of floating particles and be sent into the cargo hold of the transport ship by the binding force field.

Two large transport ships and one medium-sized transport ship, loaded with less than half of the minerals, were towed directly back to the subspace. Liu Wen ordered two sets of medium-sized mineral refining equipment, which could quickly screen out the useful spiritual ores, and at least earn 20 million more contribution points than selling them to mineral companies.

”Tsk, it seems that exploration really is profitable. Finding a mineral planet can earn tens of millions of contribution points. Isn’t this much better than me and the bugs going through wind and rain!” Bai Haitang graduated from a regular school after all. He could tell the approximate value of the minerals just by looking at the data. When he thought of that astronomical figure, he counted on his fingers for a long time but couldn’t figure out how many years he would have to fight bugs to make so much money.

Moreover, before you earn even one tenth of it, it might be swallowed up by an insect plague that comes out of nowhere, and all the money you earn will be wasted.

Liu Wen was so happy that his face almost broke into a smile as he calculated how much money he was going to earn. He generously said that he would give Bai Haitang a big red envelope after the minerals were sold and he would definitely not let her work for nothing.

After smashing the four mineral planets and moving them back to the subspace, Bai Haitang was rushed back to the city to see if the goods he ordered had arrived. If they had arrived, he would quickly transport them back to the subspace to start work, trying to process all the minerals before selling the subspace dock.

He continued to drive the Xinghai into the interior of the star field to explore mineral planets. After all, it was a mineral detection radar worth hundreds of thousands of contribution points, and its price was much more expensive than that of an ordinary level 4 battleship. Wouldn’t it be a waste if it wasn’t used properly?

At the Dream Star Manor in the main universe, Liu Wen got up in the morning and handed the prospecting work of the Xinghai to Wazai, while he took Little Fox and Maomao to report to school. Today was their first day of school, so he had to take them there in person.

”Bang, bang, bang!” Liu Wen, who was wearing a low-key and luxurious white aristocratic uniform, slapped his hands on the door, making a loud banging sound: ”Are you up? It’s almost time to go to school.”

After calling for a long time without hearing any movement from inside, Liu Wen placed his hand on the access control panel and forcibly opened the door using his highest authority.

When I approached the bedroom, I saw that the little fox was only covered with a corner of the quilt and was sleeping soundly with the cat in his arms.

Liu Wen walked up angrily and slapped the two of them on the buttocks. It was clearly you two who insisted on being sent to school. I’m already up, but you’re still asleep!
”Aiwu...” The cat was startled by the beating, and its curled up body suddenly tightened. It immediately kicked the little fox under the bed, and the two apples in front of it were exposed.

The little fox was awakened by a slap from Liu Wen, but before he could come to his senses, he was kicked off the bed by the cat. After he opened his eyes, he was completely dazed.

”Who hit me, who kicked me, and why am I under the bed?”

”Hurry up and get up, put on your clothes and pack up, hurry up!” Liu Wen slapped each of them again, waking them up completely.

”Just get up. Why are you spanking me? It hurts.” The little fox pouted, and without caring that Liu Wen was still there, he took out clothes from the closet and put them on.

After the cat woke up, it rubbed its butt and looked for clothes to wear, and its two cat ears kept shaking.

A few minutes later, at Liu Wen’s urging, the two finally got dressed and started to wash up. They hurried downstairs to have a quick breakfast, then boarded the shuttle driven by Lant himself and headed for school.

Little Fox and Maomao were studying at the College of Business at Mengshenxing No. 1 University. In order to allow them to enter the college to study business management, Liu Wen donated one million contribution points to the school. Otherwise, who would be blind enough to accept Little Fox and Maomao, since they didn’t even have a beginner’s diploma?

There are only three higher universities in the entire Dream Planet, one teaching business, one teaching military affairs, and one teaching scientific research.

It is the place with the highest concentration of talents in the entire Mengshen administrative star field. Universities in other cities outside Mengshen basically have their own characteristics. Because the technology tree is too lush, there is a vast amount of knowledge in all walks of life. If you don’t study separately, you may not know what you have learned when you graduate in a few years.

Liu Wen sent the two of them to the helipad at the school gate. He watched the various hovercrafts taking off and landing frequently at the school gate of hundreds of thousands of square meters. The people coming and going were basically the younger generation, and their energetic appearance was particularly fascinating.

”Brother Wen, we’re going in. Remember to pick us up in the afternoon!” The little fox, dressed in a princess dress, smiled and held the cat’s hand.

Maomao was also wearing a long skirt and said to Liu Wen, ”Brother Wen, we will study hard. Our memory has improved and we will catch up soon.”

”Just be careful and don’t worry. Just take your time.” Liu Wen waved to them and watched them walk into the school gate.

On the way back, Liu Wen asked Lant: ”Lant, have you found the space station I asked you to sell?”

”Sir, space stations are such a popular commodity that they are not currently for public sale. I consulted some of my classmates and they told me that this kind of business is usually traded privately among nobles, so there is no clear sales information leaked.” Lant replied calmly.

”If you really want to buy a space station, you can try to contact Mr. Hanst, the assistant to the local chief executive. It is said that as long as you pay enough money, the chief executive can issue a license.”

Liu Wen nodded thoughtfully: ”Go and contact them and ask how much it will cost. You can reimburse the event expenses yourself, so there is no need to ask for my opinion.”

”Yes, sir.” While driving the shuttle, Lant was thinking about how to contact the other party to get things done. Maybe he would have to rely on that old classmate to help make the connection.
