Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 23 Xinghai Group Co., Ltd.Chapter 23 Xinghai Group Co., Ltd.
Mengshen Star Region, Tianmeng Satellite City.

Liu Wen and his group were standing in the lounge of Tianmeng Shopping Mall. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows they could see the blue-purple Planet Dreams. Below them was a huge square that was usually used to park private vehicles but was now converted into a job fair.

I don’t know what Rant did. He originally invested two million credit points to rent the square for a week to hold the Xinghai Group job fair. More than 40 group companies joined in the middle of the fair, which allowed Liu Wen to earn more than two million credit points from the venue fee.

The company earned more than 2 million credit points before it officially opened, and it made a profit in this way. This is somewhat strange.

The square of hundreds of thousands of square meters was already packed with people. The job fair was held for three days, with the largest number of people on the first day.

Originally, Liu Wen wanted to directly find two schools to recruit recent graduates. This was simple, convenient and motivated. However, his plan was rejected by Lant because the school did not allow it. Xinghai Group had no tax record or credibility, so it could not pass the college’s review mechanism and could not even pass the random selection stage, even if they bribed money.

Therefore, holding this job fair is actually a helpless move.

”Fatty, Jack, you two keep an eye on it. I’m going to go down and take a look to see if there are any real talents.” Liu Wen was numb when he saw hundreds of thousands of resumes. Even after several intelligent screenings, there were still tens of thousands left.

”Oh, okay.” The blue fat man and Jack didn’t even raise their heads, quickly browsing through the resumes one by one, sorting them into categories, waiting to be sent to the interviewers for the interview. After the initial interview, they would have the second round of interviews.

A few thousand people are selected from tens of thousands of people. It can’t be said to be one in a hundred, but it is still one in dozens. The population of the Human Empire is too large. Although all walks of life are willing to adopt a work mode that combines manual and mechanical work for various reasons, the employment pressure is also ridiculously high.

This is also an important reason why various small teams and small companies are prevalent, especially in places like various subspace battlefields. Small teams are the main force in clearing non-frontal battlefields and can bear considerable military and financial pressure for human civilization.

Liu Wen ran downstairs happily into the square, strolling around in the sea of people, looking at this company’s recruitment and that group’s recruitment, looking like a real scoundrel.

”Son, you don’t want our family’s billions of foundation, but insist on going out on your own. It’s fine to go out and try your luck, but dad will give you hundreds of billions of start-up capital. Why don’t you do something else? Why do you have to go to a little-known company?” Chen Yihua tried his best to persuade his son to go back with him and inherit the family business. However, his son had grown up and reached his rebellious stage, and he refused to listen.

Chen Wen, who was wearing a psychic combat uniform, felt a little annoyed when listening to his father chattering in his ear, but he couldn’t stop him from talking. He could only pretend that he didn’t hear him, and would retort when he couldn’t stand it anymore.

”Dad, what’s good about inheriting our family’s foundation? A market value of hundreds of billions or a sanitary napkin market that dominates three administrative star fields?” Chen Wen asked in a deep voice with a blushing face and a beating heart.

Chen Yihua’s face became even more bitter, but he still spoke: ”What’s wrong with sanitary napkins? After all, they are necessities. The money they earn every second is enough for these small companies to work hard for a year. We have hundreds of thousands of stores, 1,200 branches, 102 manufacturing plants, three scientific research space stations, and hundreds of thousands of employees. Isn’t it more meaningful to ensure the stability of the lives of our hundreds of thousands of employees than to work hard for small companies?”

Chen Wen was unable to refute for a moment, the good education he received since childhood prevented him from saying words that endangered human life, but he really didn’t want to go back and sit there in a daze like a clay Buddha, so he could only keep his mouth shut.

”I know you want to be a commander, but your talent only allows you to be a fleet adjutant at best. But how much of a role can a squadron adjutant have?” Chen Yihua carefully analyzed the pros and cons of each aspect.

”You come back to inherit the family business, so you can also practice psychic power. When you reach the seventh level of psychic master, won’t you be able to do better than being a small fleet adjutant? Right? Besides, the fleet doesn’t have such good psychic training conditions as home.”

”Besides, you have also checked the information. The fleets of these small companies are at most bullies in their own territory. Few of them dare to apply for a development order to leave the human frontier.”

Chen Wen became even more silent, his fists clenched tightly, veins bulging on his forehead, and no one knew what made him unhappy.

Although everyone now knows that the Blue River Empire is gradually decaying, the basic administrative management is still there, the military is still quite strong, and only the powerful class is corrupt, while the middle and lower classes are still very pioneering, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many people willing to fight bugs and explore and develop the starry sky.

Chen Wen is such a lower-middle class radical. His dream is also the dream of most human teenagers, to command a fleet and defeat alien races thousands of light years away. Unfortunately, dreams are only dreams after all, and teenagers will not always be teenagers.

Just when Chen Wen was about to be convinced by his father, Liu Wen walked over and said, ”Brother, do you want to command the fleet? Do you want to vent your firepower on the aliens? Do you want to experience the dazzling life in the boundless starry sea? Join the Star Fleet and you can have all of these.”

Chen Yihua: “????”

Chen Wen: “(⊙o⊙)”

”Are you the recruiter of Xinghai Group?” Chen Yihua stared at Liu Wen with an unpleasant expression. His son could be persuaded and taken back soon, but suddenly he came out to interfere. If it wasn’t in public, he would have slapped him twice to make him understand what it meant not to interrupt casually.

Liu Wen smiled and said, ”Yes, I am a recruiter for Xinghai Group. I think this brother is extraordinary and must be a rare talent. It would be a pity if he didn’t join our fleet. Our group’s goal is to serve the later development. In the near future, our goal is to strike at the alien forces within the empire’s territory. We are in urgent need of talents like you to join the fleet.”

”How about this brother, are you willing to join our team, fight against the alien races, and fight hard in the second world?”

Chen Wen was silent for a long time, listening to Liu Wen’s introduction which felt like an old-fashioned game advertisement, ”If you’re a brother, come and chop me up.”

”I am a graduate of the Captain Command Department of the Second Military Academy of Dream Star. I have a second-level captain command certificate. What position can you give me?”

Now it was Liu Wen’s turn to be stunned. He had just heard the father and son acting so Versailles, talking about assets worth hundreds of billions at every turn. He just backed off out of playfulness. Did he really meet a talented person?
The Command Department of the Military Academy trains mid- to high-end talents from battleship captains to fleet commanders. It cannot train corps-level commanders, as those are trained through fighting on the battlefield.

The second-level captain’s command certificate is equivalent to the technical certificate of Blue Star in the previous life. Although having the certificate does not necessarily mean that you can be qualified for that position, there is nothing wrong with downgrading it after training.

This type of certificate is divided into four levels: level one, level two, level three and special. A level two captain certificate will allow you to control warships below the flagship level without any problems, and if you are stronger, you can also serve as a squadron commander.

For example, the current Star Fleet, which consists of dozens of warships, only needs two second-level commanders as a standard configuration to exert combat power above the horizontal level.

”Currently, the Star Sea Fleet is still short of a fleet adjutant. I think you can give it a try. Even if you fail, you can still compete for the position of captain of a battleship.” Liu Wen spoke after thinking for a while, but did not directly promise him any position.

Chen Wen blinked. The fleet adjutant was equivalent to a secondary commander, who could take over command when the official commander was absent or unable to command the fleet. The battleship captain usually served as the commander of the squadron. These two positions were quite consistent with his positioning of himself. After all, he had already clearly understood his strength when he was ranked in the academy after graduation.

”Thank you for your suggestion. I will consider it seriously.”

Liu Wen said goodbye and left, continuing to look for suitable talents. He just came across a candidate for captain. There are so many people here, and it would definitely be a good idea to reserve a few more captains at the current rate of development.

Three days later, the job fair ended successfully. Liu Wen, Fatty Blue and the other two sat together to discuss the next job assignment.

”Jack, will you continue to stay in the Second World Fleet or take over the Meteor Space Station?” Liu Wen asked Jack.

”I’d better stay in the fleet. I don’t know anything about management. After Maomao and the others graduate, I can let them manage it. Now, I’d better hand over peripheral affairs to professional managers.”

Jack is unwilling to leave the fleet. No matter how things develop, his future focus will be inseparable from the fleet. He will learn and practice while he practices, and he will eventually become a qualified fleet commander.

”What about you? Do you want to go for further studies?” Liu Wen asked the blue fat man. He knew that the other party actually had no obsession with the fleet and his favorite thing was to deal with machinery.

The blue fat man pondered for a while and said, ”I will take over the logistics and maintenance support while I study. I don’t feel comfortable leaving this to outsiders.”

Liu Wen nodded in agreement: ”Okay, from now on, the warship maintenance and supply will be handed over to you. You will be the head of the logistics department, and Jack will continue to be the adjutant of the fleet and temporarily take over the duties of the staff department.”

”Frog, take over the transportation department. This is our money bag, and someone must be watching over it.”

After a simple division among the three, their respective positions were determined. The group was owned by Liu Wen personally, and the three of them each had a 10% dividend right. Liu Wen wanted to give more, but the three were unwilling. In fact, they didn’t care whether they got dividends or not, because Liu Wen would not leave them without money anyway.

”The next step is to arrange the staff. The number of recruits has exceeded the original target by nearly three times. We are not good at management, so we need to delegate power to our deputies, otherwise it will take a long time to sort things out.” Liu Wen knows that professional matters should be left to professionals, and as long as the final decision is in his hands, he will not be afraid of problems.

”Anna is the manager of the space station, responsible for its operations and external affairs.”

”Michel Victor and Luo Shaohua will serve as the commanders of the Star Fleet, and Chen Wen will serve as the captain of the battleship.”

”Shirley Brandi, Sun Guangxi, and Wu Shuhe will serve as adjutants of the fleet.”

”By the way, we three have also selected our secretary, Lant. You can go and meet them later.”

The blue fat man nodded casually, matched each position with a person, and then looked at the member table and suddenly realized something: ”Boss, aren’t we recruiting marines? What if we encounter a psychic who wants to join us?”

Liu Wen smiled and said: ”This has been solved. With so many military personnel retiring every year, this part is still easy to solve.”

”I contacted Rez and gave him 500,000 contribution points to get it done. We formed a 1,200-man Marine Corps with the personnel who retired this year. After they report for retirement next month, we will retrain them and equip them with individual weapons. They will be a team that can fight tough battles. The salary expenses are a bit high, at an average of 2,000 contribution points per person per month.”

When Jack and the others heard that they were looking for retired active-duty soldiers, they felt good about it. There was no one more suitable than someone who had served in the army for more than ten years. It just so happened that they had just retired and didn’t have any other life skills, so joining the Star Fleet was more suitable for them.

The next day, the three of them took a shuttle to the Meteor Space Station beyond the far-Earth orbit. This big thing cost Liu Wen tens of millions of contribution points in total.

As a small military fortress, the space station has a diameter of 15 kilometers. Liu Wen has also built a drone production line in it. It can store 50,000 fighter jets in peacetime and assemble ten per minute in wartime and send them into the battlefield.

Military-grade protective shield, a hybrid shield of energy and force field, with a defense power of up to 100,000 degrees.

The three middle berths are open to the public, which serves as a cover for the core function.

The top three floors and the bottom two floors of the space station are for internal use of the group. Members of the Second World Star Fleet live and work here. They only need to go to the landing capsule when they go to work. There are all kinds of entertainment venues and leisure spaces, but the venues are not very large.

In Square No. 1 of the space station, thousands of people stood together according to their assigned ships or job departments.

After Liu Wen said a few simple words, Xinghai Group officially opened. Fatty Blue and Jack led their secretaries to contact their department staff to arrange the next study and work.

Liu Wenzhe took his secretary to the conference room. When he arrived, all the fleet captains and above had already arrived.

”Everyone, I won’t say much. Welcome to join the Xinghai Group’s development fleet. Let me introduce myself again. I am Liu Wen, the chairman of the group.” Liu Wen said as he sat in the first seat.

”Is everyone aware of their duties and positions? Your corresponding authority has been delegated. Don’t worry about work. All of you are captains at the lowest level. Get familiar with your own personnel and discuss the next training. It is estimated that the fleet will arrive at the 314th Interstellar Alliance City in half a month. By then, I hope you can take over your respective warships immediately. Do you have any questions?”

Chen Wen watched Liu Wen’s lips move for a long time but still didn’t ask, ”As a chairman, what are you thinking about working as a recruiter?”
In the meeting room, everyone shook their heads. The work hasn’t even started yet, so what kind of problems could there be? Asking questions would only make one appear incompetent, and they might even lose their positions.

”Since there is no problem, let’s go down and get familiar with our respective crew members. We only have two months at most to get used to each other. There will be an operation in two months, and then we will decide the outcome with a single battle.” Liu Wen adjourned the meeting and went to his office.

The two secretaries followed Boss Liu to their own offices. This was also their busiest time. They had to take care of the Finance Department, Administration Department, Human Resources Department, Legal Department, Logistics Department, Operations Department, Transportation Department, and a Scientific Research Department that had not yet been established. The staff of several departments had just been formed, and all matters that required communication and application would be handed over to them.

A few days later, the fleet of the Second World finally arrived in the 314 star field, and the dock that had been contacted long ago received several warships and sent them for repairs.

Liu Wen went to receive the ordered warships, which expanded the size of the Star Sea Fleet several times at once, and it is expected that the fleet will continue to expand in a few months.

”Boss, what about me? What’s my position?” Bai Haitang pulled Liu Wen’s arm and stopped him from leaving. You have recruited the captain, commander, and adjutant, but her position has not been decided yet.

Liu Wen comforted him, ”Don’t worry. The fleet is just a training exercise now. It will be expanded in the future. You can just be my adjutant for now. Focus on training first and see if this group of people can reach the normal fleet combat level.”

Bai Haitang was speechless. Didn’t I just not go to Mengshenxing? Why did I lose my position?
